      Medically-Themed Dream

I'm one of those poor unfortunate souls who rarely (almost never) remembers her dreams... reading all these threads I'm actually a little jealous that everyone seems to be having such an active dream life. Last night, however, was an exception. In my dream, I was in a clinic-type setting. There was a young man in a la coat there with me who I knew was a doctor, but not a very good one. Something about the circumstances we were in was freaking him out and he was unable to perform his duties. I don't know why.

My roommate (and friend of about a decade) was sitting on an examination table in a considerable state of distress. She was fully clothed, wearing an outfit I frequently see her wear. The doctor was trying to perform some sort of procedure on her but wasn't able to. He was trying to give her an injection of a cloudy, pale blue liquid. Finally he gave up and handed the equipment over to me. I extracted the liquid from the vial with a very old-fashioned looking syringe, then I distracted her with some sort of joke and jabbed the needle into her upper arm (with a considerable amount of force). I wasn't disturbed at all (like the doctor was) but I was aware that the situation was really serious. But I had no fear- I was almost giddy, certainly excited, even though the situation was high-stress.

Like I said, I rarely remember my dreams and this was so clear and so vivid that I feel like it must mean something. But I means very little to me. Dream interpretation isn't something I usually have much of a need for, so any help would be appreciated.

Could be that you were experiencing something recently but haven't expressed your emotions about it so the dream is like forcing you to do it for the sake of balance. Also there may be a message to lighten up or something like that. maybe.

this dream could be talking about how you have a unique approach to lifes situations, that you don't mind using the old-fashioned brute force method of getting something done. you know, just roll up your sleeves and get down in the dirt and do the job. but also might be worth keeping an eye on your friend too, is there anything she is facing at the moment that might relate to the dream?

Actually I've been thinking about this, and I think it might signify disapproval of my friend's choices in life. She's about to make one of those big, life-changing mistakes and I've voiced my opinions but she doesn't care much. It's put a strain on our relationship. Maybe the dream is telling me that I'm forcing my opinions on her and kind of enjoying having this position of alleged moral high ground? Either that or it's telling me I should. Hard to tell the difference, really. Thanks so much for the help, guys. I know it sounds like it's not a big deal but it's been weighing pretty heavily on my mind.
