      A prophetic dream?

Normally, i claim my dreams to be nothing more then dreams, not dream sharing, not astral projecting, just simply dreams. Even if i lucid, its still just a dream. But after the dream i had the other day, im kind of weired out.

      Heres the dream:

I was walking outside, when the horizon was a bright orange and purple. (i have very vivid dreams, i guess im lucky). The horizon though, was changing between orange, red, pink, and purple quite quickly. This brought me to be lucid, and i immediatly started to look around at my suroundings. I looked everywhere, and this was not like a normal dream. I knew this was not an OBE, because it was dark outside when i fell asleep, and i always wake up before it gets light outside. Also, this was sun set, not sun rise. Anyway, i looked up, and to my amazement i saw black clouds circling each other with lightning going between them. Then i saw a huge burst of energy, and i was thrown the side walk behind me. Then i looked back up and two objects where in the sky, and they were flying at each other and then going back to original positions.

Then, i saw a person that i swear i have never seen before, but my body told me that i knew him. I started to walk over to him, when he turned around and his face was pure white. He then flew up into the air, and i then did the same. I was up by the two beings that i saw earlier, but they were cast in a shadow, and i only could see blue light emiting from them. I wish i could have had the common sense to go closer to look at them. Anyway though, this person that i apparently knew, started to attack me. I then started to defend myself, and i lost lucidity. I then came crashing to the ground, and right when i saw i wasnt dead, i regained the lucidity. This is very strange, as i normally never loose lucidity, i just wake up. This is actualy the first account i have of doing this. Anyway, the whole sky around my town was still cast in dark, and the two beings were still attacking each other. Then i saw the person run into my house, and i followed. I then couldnt go inside, something was keeping me out. All i could do was look up and see the beings. Then, another boom shuck the town. And my eyes went white.

After i could see again, the whole sky was purple with clouds hanging over once again, and the same two beings were up there. More lightning, but the difference this time was, instead of just where the sun had apparently set, the whole sky had a orange outline. Everywhere i turned, i saw a orange and pink horizon. But still, the almost storm was above me. I knew i had to do something, but i couldnt think of anything.

      Conclusion:

Normally, im not into getting answers to my dreams, as i know what they mean. This is the first, and hopefully not last, dream that i had no idea what it means. It could simply be a picture from some movie i had seen before, but i have no recollection of such movie, or picture on the web, or anything.

Also, im not into the belief of things being told to me in my dreams, but now im starting to.

Does anyone have any idea what this could have meant? I dont want to call it a prophetic dream, as something that could be happening to me, but its what looks like the best bet. If anyone has any suggestions, please add all that you can.

Yes sounds very prophetic but cant think for the life of me of any decent interpretation. I would suppose you would be the best interpreter for this dream. Sounds colorfull for sure. Interesting for sure. But sorry kiddo. I draw a blank.

It was just weird. I never have dreams that i cant find out why im dreaming them, and i have this one. Its just odd and out of the ordinary, but your right i probly should be the best interpreter for myself. I still would like to know, if it is prophetic, or if its my mind just having a good time.

I believe that people can have prophetic dreams, but I don't think they happen as often as people think they do. By prophetic, I mean dreams that show the dreamer what will happen in the future, though others have different definitions of the word. For a dream to be prophetic, there must be a reason for it - something more than "my grandpa's going to call me today."

Also, as far as dream "interpretation," I take a more literal approach, where the good majority of things in our dreams are simply a reflection of what's going on in real life. Sometimes they can display things that are going on that we may not be consciously aware of, such as a bad habit or something that someone else is doing to us that we don't fully understand.

Well, you told me that you practice tae kwon do and that you also have a propencity towards remembering colors. Personally, I remember emotions, locations, and actions the best, and the color and other physical characteristics of something or someone tend to go unnoticed. That goes for both real life and in the dream world, so I feel that what you pay attention to or just tend to remember can tell you a bit about yourself. Remembering something you don't normally remember can also cause you to take note... such as when I actually remember someone's name after the first time I meet them.

Has there been any interesting weather in your area? Not necessary really dark clouds or tornados or exactly what you described, but any strong winds or temperature changes. Shifts in weather or shifting weather can sometimes have an influence on how we feel and react physically as well as mentally. A stormy day can cause someone to be kind of depressed or excited.

The figures fighting could be a picture of those around you when you're at tae kwon do. At least when I was practicing Judo, when I was sparring or even watching a pair, I was watching more of what they were doing rather than make a conscious destinction between their identities. Did they seem angry at each other or were they just fighting? Did you sense any emotion between them at all? The same kind of goes for the white-faced figure that you fought. Did he seem intent on harming you or did he just want to fight? Was there an abrupt end to the fight, or was there a lessening of tension and you went back to watching the clouds?

As far as losing lucidity, it may have just been your emotions got in the way. I haven't been lucid long enough to really examine the emotional side of being lucid, so I would advise talking to a more experienced LDer and asking them about how they feel emotionally in their LDs and if if they have an idea of what their DCs feel.

Also, how were you prevented from re-entering your house? Was the door shut and it wouldn't open? Was there some barrier (visible or invisible) that kept you out? Why that happens in dreams, I don't know, but for some reason there are just some things we can't do. There are always ways to do them if we take the time to come up with one, however creative and/or strange it may be.

      I hope this was helpful.

Yeah, this is why i dont believe in alot of these things, because they are so rare. But something inside of me is just giving me that feeling that the dream was telling me something to come, and thats why i asked if it was prophetic or not. I dont believe really that something is going to happen like what i saw in my dream, but something inside of me is burning to tell me that it is.

Ah, that sounds good. It could be something that i am remembering. I still dont know what could have made me think of this while i dreamt, but there is always that chance.

I teach taekwondo for some money on the side, and i too notice this. When its storming outside, either people dont show up, or there are 1000000 people there. And they are either excited, or really down in the dumps. But actually, there has been no weather changes. There was snow, but that was quite a bit before i had this dream. There has been nothing. Last summer though, before i joined DV, i stood outside on stormy nights to watch the lightning in the sky, and my chest burned with desire to do something that i still havent found out what it was. But that is probably off topic.

The white faced guy, had not a want of anger twards me, but more of a feeling of wanting to kill me to surve a purpose. The two blue shadow things though, seemed very angry at each other. They were like trying to kill each other, because of some sort of conflict. The white faced guy, didnt spar like anyone would in taekwondo. In fact, he was all punches, with only a kick to throw me to the ground. While, in taekwondo, its all kicks, rarely a punch. It was more of an abrupt ending to the fight however. He kicked me, and i went to the ground, and i think i forgot about the guy because when i looked up he wasnt there. All i saw were the two things fighting each other.

If its any other note, the things were huge, and shaped differently. One was more bulk, while the other was more lean, but still they were huge compared to me.

Well, i am quite experienced in LD'ng, and i do it quite regularly. Ive found that ive always LD'd, but i just didnt know it was called LD. Like i could control my dream, i just didnt know what it was called. But anyway, the emotions i had. I was extremly confused, and adrenaline seemed to come to me to keep myself alive. It felt like i was on one side of the two beings, like i was partnered with one of them, while the other and the white faced guy were against us. But, i dont really know if that was. But i had extreme emotions, and that is probably why i lost lucidity. I wouldnt have thought about that if you didnt say that lol.

Well, i was kind of in a hurry. I felt that i had to get the guy, and i had to do what ever it was i was supposed to. But, as i walked twards the house it felt like a magnet was pulling me back, like it was harder and harder to walk forward to the house door the more i walked, until i just had to not do it. I probably could have broke a window or something, but in the rush i didnt think of that. Im not the fastest thinker while in dreams, sadly.

Thanks alot Ame, this was very helpful. Atleast i know that it could have been something un explainable, but there is a chance that i can relate it.

Wow, I thought it was obvious. You absolutly have to stay away from that person. Do you remember anything about him? If so, do tell. If not, be warry of new friends.

Ive thought of the same thing with this person, as it means to be wary of new friends. This is my conclusion though:

If i were to be warry of new friends, then wouldnt the person in my dream be wanting to be my friend, and not be my enemy? Then, after a while he would attack? That is what confused me most about this guy, is that it doesnt really mean anything to me other then to watch out for people of his kind and energy.

All i remember is he had a white face, not really pale, juts completley white, and his eyes were black, and mouth was normal. He had a black shirt and pants on. Other then that, thats all i can tell you. Oh, and his hair was white.

      On a further side note:

I had another dream today while i was in a lucid, where i tried to make the dream come to life again. This time though, i could only see out the window of my house the two massive things fighting in the sky. I didnt see the man, but this time instead of not being able to go inside the house, i couldnt leave. The windows were un breakable, and the door wouldnt budge no matter what i did. I tried everything, but i was locked inside, just being able to look out at the two beings.

This was forced though, it wasnt a random encounter like my first dream.

Sorry for double posting, but if i edit, no one will see since this is put down in the forum quite a bit...

But, i had another similar dream. This time though, i was watching myself do the actions of the last dream. I was kind of stuck in place, just watching the blue things fight in the high sky, watching the sky, and watching myself fight and fall to the ground.

This was not planned, however. I knew what was going on, and i was lucid at the time, but still i couldnt move from my spot, and i wasnt really sure where i was standing, i was just kind of there, watching.

      Still werid.
