A green wedding and a river

Although I've already interpreted this dream, its always interesting to hear outside analysis:

I'm at a wedding in a chapel that has windows on the side. My view perspective is actually looking down at myself in the crowd. The me in the crowd is facing the nuptuals but I don't recall ever seeing the bride and groom although I assum they were there getting married.

Everybody is wearing green, be it dress or suit. I'm wearing red. When I the viewer relize this, the me in the crowd starts looking around and feeling frustrated that nobody informed me of the color theme.

As that is happening, I the viewer look through the windows of the chapel and see a blissfull summer day outside with green grass and trees swaying in the warm summer wind.

All of a sudden I find myself standing on one side of a river. The grounds grassy green. Theres some stepping stones to get across and I have friends that are asking me to come over. The water is rushing by quickly and it should be noted that the name of the river is the Red Cedar (red, green.)

Then as I rushed across, I fell in and felt cold as the water rushed by, the rivers known for having ecoli and I imagined little green ecoli rushing by me. I had made it far enough to grasp onto the other grassy shore of the river, nobody made an effort to pull me out but I think I got out.

Thats where it ended I think.

I think the red represents death and the green life. In my own dreams, I find that the color red represents blood. In positive dream blood, as represented by the color red, represents family, but in your case I am sure the red represents death. The blood, as represented by the color red, represents spilt blood. Green, as associated with plant life, reflects life.

The wedding may actually represent a union between the red and green (life and death). Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, I'll leave up to you.

The river with the e-coli may be another way of telling you there is some type of union between life and death.

Water represents life. It gives life to the forest. The e-coli, which may represent death, seems to have tainted the water and may be leeching off of that life giving force. So instead of sensing warmth you sense the coldness of death when passing over the river.

Often, I find that rivers represent boundaries between to lands. The crossing of the river may be a sign that you are leaving one region of your being crossing to new territory. This crossing may be a sign of change. Death is also a sign of change. Again, whether this a good change or a bad one is up to you. The fact that you fell into the river may be a sign that you are struggling with this change. The idea of almost drowning may be a sign of being overwhelmed.

Maybe you feel that no one has been there to help you through this change. This is also represented by the fact that no one told you the theme of the wedding and no tried to help you out of the river. Maybe the fact that no one has been around to help you is killing you or maybe it's vice versa. This is why you felt the coldness. Maybe it is this feeling that no one is helping you that is changing you?

Dreams often seem to reflect the person. The people you see are like a mirror reflection shedding light to an aspect of your personality. It seems the dream may be saying that you haven't been taking enough time to help others. You may need to take to time to show sympathy towards others. It is compassion that creates that life giving warmth that was once a part of you, but it seems you are letting go of that part of yourself.

I had the same problem in my own life. At some point I became very cold hearted. I became so caught up in my own problems that I inadvertently neglected to see that other people had problems too. Truthfully, at the time I didn't think I was such a bad guy, but it seems that may dreams were telling me otherwise.

I find the archetypes in our dreams follow the examples that we set. If we set a good example then they follow the good example and if we set a bad example then they follow the bad example. Because I neglected them they neglected me and when I acknowledged them they acknowledged me. It seems you aren't spending enough time showing sympathy to the feeling and needs of other and this neglect is what is killing you.
