abuse my friend?!?!

I had this really vivd dream the other day...it felt so real, I could feel my emotions in it as if they were real! It's about my one friend from school, You see, not a lot of people like him, most think he's mean, or rude. but there are some people including me who think he is nice.


It was the most upsetting dream I’ve had in a while. It started out with me just sitting in my parent's bedroom watching the news. Then all of a sudden this big report comes on, and I see my friend, he's running frantically away from his parents, who are chasing after him. (I think he was even running across the roofs of buildings trying to get away), and this news reporter’s voice can be heard in the background saying that his parents abuse him, and he can’t get away.
I get all worried and rush to school where I see my friend in class. I quickly run over to him and tell him that I saw the news report about his parents, and I ask him if he wants to come live with me so his parents won’t hurt him anymore. But for some reason he doesn’t want to hear it, he refuses to listen to me, and says no. I beg, and plead him to run away, somewhere where he’ll be safe, but he just walks away from me and disappears. I hastily try to find him again, I run through the school, asking if people have seen him, but I can‘t find him anywhere, I begin to worry even more…then I woke up.

I don't think his parents abuse him in real life, although somebody once told me that his parents swear a lot, and they probably swear at him too. I don't know for sure, that probably isn't considered a form of abuse anyway.
