      Only trying to help

While camping I was sitting in the tent watching some rather large mice run/hop around the campsite (I don't remember anything being in the site, just remember the ground and some plants). I wasn't afraid of them, and thought they were pretty cute, esp with their over-sized ears, but they kept trying to get in, and that was frustrating because I kept thinking of them like raccoons that I wanted to keep out. Eventually a smaller (about the size of a younger normal one) one got in and settled onto a softer, fuzzy blanket that my mom kept moving around and shaking. I didn't want the mouse in the tent, but I didn't want to disturb it either, and wanted to help it be comfortable and was afraid it would get hurt from being tossed around like that; it seemed very happy though, and I remember it laying on it's back and sighing and seemed to smile (mostly with it's eyes like ^_^). Well since I didn't want it to be hurt, I found a rather large brown shoe (Kind of like a loafer, but was made of a tennis-shoe type of material) and lined it with some of the blanket and some fur/hair (looked kind of like cat hair, but more downey) that seemed to be on it, then gently picked up the mouse and set it in the shoe. All of a sudden it got angry and bit me on top of my (right) hand, it's jaws opened a lot wider than they should of too. I wasn't angry at first, just surprised, then I got pissed off, pried it off my hand and chucked it outside. The wound wasn't bad at all, wasn't even bleeding, but my feelings were hurt because I was worried about it and was only trying to help. After a bit where the bite was the pin-prick teeth marks started turning a little black, so I squeezed some puss out of them, kind of like what you do with a pimple, which worked for a little bit and I figured all was good. All of a sudden it swelled up like a bad bug or spider bite (Big white lumps with a dark red and black outer rings) and were the break in the skin was it was bleeding and leaking some black stuff (sorry if this grosses anyone out).
After that I woke up. >___>

      -----
Whether this helps or not, I'm camping now and yesterday I saw a mouse or gerbil run across the road in the morning on my way into town, though I forgot about it until a little while ago.
If my emotional state has anything to do with it; broken hearted, but dealing with it (none of that crying, listening to sad songs, or that other stuff that's usually associated with it... just feels like my heart weighs a lot and feel a bit depressed, but pretty much still going about my normal day).

      Hello,

I don't know if the mice in the dream were just flotsam from the day since you had seen one, but in a dream a mouse can represent a feeling of inadequacy or not measuring up. That seems to fit with the broken hearted condition you describe; trying to keep out the depression and lack of self-worth represented by keeping the mice out of the campsite? So maybe letting one in and coddling it could represent your version of nourishing self-pity or bad feelings over the broken heart...and because you have apparently worked against these feelings, your subconscious turns this against you by having the mouse bite? Showing that if you let those feelings in, they're going to turn on you and poison you?

A mouse can also mean fear, meekness, and a lack of assertiveness which all seem like achey breaky heart feelings.

For the blanket: dream symbolism for that means warmth, love, security. Could your mom shaking the blanket to shoo the mouse maybe kind of go to show that she's been offering you support - as in, chasing away the feelings the mouse represents? Wrapping someone else in a blanket generally would mean your desire to care for a person, which might seem again like you were holding onto those feelings the mouse stands for? Possibly the mouse can also represent hanging onto feelings for the one who broke your heart?

Were you barefoot in the dream and giving your own shoes away or was it just some random shoe? Dreaming you're not wearing shoes can again show a lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. Even if you had shoes, putting the mouse/emotion it represents into a shoe may indicate an unwillingness to walk away from it?

And, back to the bite, your subconscious mind seems to be giving you a reminder not to dwell on the negative. The campsite is probably just the setting because you're currently camping.

      Hope that helps!

I don't know if I had shoes on or not, I didn't really notice them
Didn't let the mouse it, just slipped through. Remember working on trying to keep the mice out, then it skips to one on that blanket.

So I guess trying to condition myself to deal with these feelings by myself isn't the best idea, huh.

"Possibly the mouse can also represent hanging onto feelings for the one who broke your heart?" makes a lot of sense, since the guy is my friend

      thanks for your interpretation.
