Dream I was Amish, trying to escape to my boyfriend..help please

A few nights ago, I had a dream that I was Amish. I was trying to escape from the people who were looking for me and to find my boyfriend, who wasn't Amish. I was trying to climb up a ladder, only I had to climb up it like climbing in between two walls, then it switched to a regular ladder. At the top of the ladder, I saw my boyfriend whom I ran up to and hugged and kissed fiercely. We both were then running away from those who were looking for me. After a while of running through what looked like a forest, we were cornered somehow by the people who were looking for me. I don't remember if we escaped or not, but I remember my boyfriend holding me for dear life, protecting me, then everything went white.

      And ideas??

Do you actually have a boyfriend?

I may be thinking to much, but dreams are usually based off your feelings. Maybe you felt like you needed some kind of "action" in your life and this happened in your dream. Sort of like some kind of action movie or something.

I'm not great at interperting dreams though...

Or maybe you felt like everyone was after you because you were dating this guy, and you feel like you need, or want, to be with him.

Well dream symbols associate with thoughts inreal life. The amish and very correct and religious. In the dream your bf is not amish. Maybe it shows him being less conservative and moralistic than you.

      ------------------------
To understand the dream mind you need to understand neural networks. Neural networks store up information by comparing one thing to another. They store moments when you felt similar. For instance one time you may feel extremely exhausted after you finished some exams. So when you have a dream it may point to this event as a way of expressing how you feel about some current event. Put simply a dream therefor says "I felt tired yesterday after completing the work tasks. I was really as tired as I was after I finished my exams last year". So a dream really express our feelings by pointing to a series of unrelated metaphors.
Dreams tend to build up a meaning using a series of metaphors. So a dream may feature you "feeling tired", "feeling confused doing a puzzle" and finally "getting drunk". So the dream mind is actually building up a set of feelings by pointing to a series of feelings you felt previously. These seemingly unrelated events and feelings may simply be pointing to the previous day when "I felt tired yesterday at work. I steadily getting more confused. By the end of the day I was totally incapable of making any rational judgements". So in that way getting drunk expresses how you felt INCAPABLE at work the previous day. Its in this way that metaphors build up a dreams meaning. But the dream mind is refering to these almost like a list such as "felt as tired as I was during the exams", "felt very confused" and "I was aiming for a target".
