      Strange dream????

Hello everybody my name is Kelly and i am new here,

but not new in dreams (although i have NO idea what they mean) .... Since i was a kid i had extremely vivid dreams, with full colour, full sound (once had a dream that i heard the WHOLE Shostakovich 3rd and indeed i heard it ALL in my mind), i could not believe the power the mind has to keep and recreate all these notes from all these organs........amazing.......Anyway to continue as i said full sound, i see myself from the outside as a stranger observing a movie and they also have smells and of course the sense of touch. I not lacking fantasy either, always making up amazing worlds from alien space ships (either being inside) or seeing them flying above cities, to darkened skies ominous with storms, to beautiful houses and amazing sceneries.....anyway i'll find my way into describing the most prominent ones later one, when i get to know you. But for starters i wanted to describe a dream i saw yesterday. I am a new mom (45 days) and i saw in my dream a kid (infant) and a granma lying on the same bed. My husband was next to them and i was outside the scene observing them. And out of nowhere came an eldery man dressed in a black cloak. White hair and beard and he was father time (go figure). And i saw him looking at the old lady. Raising his hand and drawing the life out of her. She raised herself from the bed and i saw a transparent picture of her real self raising itself and going towards father time. Then she fell back dead. He smiled and looked at the infant and started doing the exact same thing. I freaked and started calling at my husband 'THE KID, THE KID LEFTY! HE IS TAKING THE KID' and he tried to see where i was and he couldn't and he said
'where are you i can't see you'. I said 'I am here, THE KID!!!' and i saw the infant trying to draw breath and it couldn't and father time drew out the poor child's life. And then he turned towards me and said 'Enjoy life young lady, for you have many to enjoy and time to do it in'....and that's when i woke up freaking out......

Anyone any idea what that dream was??? I am clueless and freaked.......

And BTW nice to be here with you all......and looking forward to knowing you....>>!

Hey! Welcome to Dreamviews, glad to see you joined the community Its nice to hear that you have very vivid dreams. I think your dream might just be anxiety on having to take care of a new life, as you enter a new part of your life as a mother. I can only imagine how scared I would be if I had to take care of a child. Congrats by the way

just anxiety manifesting itself in dream form I'm sure. As most ppl here will tell you dreams are not premonitions, however (non lucid) dreams do mirror random
elements of your subconsciousness colliding together and forming a "stew", if you will. Through lucid dreaming techniques you will be able to say "Wait! this isn't right!" and take full control of your dream.

Haha that's funny, I was at a concert listening to one of his pieces and reveling so that I could hear it in a dream *RCs*

I am going to move this to the dream interpretation forum, you'll get more responses that way

hmm, my dad interprets dreams (he's a counsellor) and he says that most of the time dreams dont have anything to do with what you dream about. for example this one dude had a dream about walking towards the city in a suite and briefcase in hand a spider would slowly crawl up his arm as he got closer and closer to the city and eventually it would bight him and he'd wake up. but it nothing to do with spiders, it was all about his job and how it was "killing" him. like he hated it heaps and it was dragging him down. i dont no wat other ppl say about interpreting them but dad says to figure out what things mean to you. so like what does your mum (inlaw wateva) represent. and your baby, husband etc. like yuriythebest said its probably anxiety. being a new mum would be a HUGE task and will prob take a while to get used to. and coz your dreams are quite vivid this could make them extra freaky hope i helped hehe
