Gold key, scared of house

I remember only a little from this dream. I had a keyring which had many keys on it and I was approaching this house at night time. There was a standout key on the keyring which was gold and I tried to open the front door of this house. The key turned which open the door but I was too scared to even go into the house. I left the key in the lock and ran off.

Could someone interpret please?
