      weird dream of bats and door - help with interpretation please

      I had a really strange dream. It was so real and easy to remember. I was trying to keep a door shut. Actually I was trying to keep it from opening with all my might. I was bracing myself against it. ON the other side of the door, it was covered in dark gray bats. The whole door, from top to bottom. It kept opening a little and then I would slam it such. Then my husband came over and tried to help me. I can't remember alot of details when he was at the door, but I kind of remember him not doing as good a job as me. and the door was opening up more. The bats were all around the door and when he slammed it shut, some of the bats stuck in the crack of the door frame, but didn't actually get into the room. That's all I remember. It was really strange. Can someone help me understand what this might mean!

      Interesting. I like this dream.

      What I would interpret it as is that the bats signify something that you want to keep out of your life, or something or someone that you don't want to "let in". Perhaps your husband helps you because he respects your wish to keep it out, but doesn't think it's as much of a threat as you (hence why he didn't push as hard to keep the door shut). or maybe he isn't aware of your will to keep it out so badly, because you have not let him in on the way you feel about it.

      Obviously in this dream the emotions seem to be a sort of panic (to keep the door shut), and an exertion of a lot of force and desire to control a situation.

      Think about what you have been experiencing or thinking about in your daily life that evokes panic in you or that has taken a great deal of your energy. Or something that you want to control but are struggling to do so.
