Driving me crazy, what does it mean?
Nearly every night I have the same dream, some of the details change from night to night, but the theme is always the same. The dreams are about my husband and I, (we've been together for 5 1/2 years now). In my dreams we are always the ages that we were when we first got together, (20 and 23), but the feeling is always as though we've been together for the 5 1/2 years we actually have been. The dream always starts out with me being either at someone's house, (someone he knows that I just met or don't know well), or on most nights at "my" house, which is actually the house I grew up in but in my dream I still live there, (I did not however live there when my husband and I got together nor had I for some time). The scenerio is that he has gone out to handle some "buisness" of some kind, (and my feeling is that he is either out dealing drugs, or out to try and buy some drugs, we were both addicts for many years and for the first two of our relationship, but we have both been clean now for nearly four years) and he has left me behind with the impression that he is comming right back. Initially I'm not at all worried because this is something that we would normally do, and so I'm engaged in conversation with whomever it is that's around me, (and I'm never sure who they are nor do I see their faces, but it seems as though they are people I've only recently met) and my conversation is always about how wonderful my boyfriend is (we are not married in the dreams), how good he is to me, how happy we are together, and all the while it seems as though they don't really believe me, almost laughing at me because they kkep asking me throughout my conversation "you're really together? Are you sure he's comming back for you?" and then "o.k. if you're sure". Then as more and more time passes without him comming back I start to worry and try calling him, I call his cell phone and get no answer, I leave a voicemail, I get no response. I call the place he was supposed to have been going and they always say "yeah he came by here but he left a long time ago" and "no I don't know where he went". Of course now the people I had been bragging to are witnessing this, and shaking their heads and smirking that "That's what I thought" look. From that point the dream advances to either a few days to a week later and now I'm always at "home", whether I had initially been left there or elsewhere. I am at this point extremely upset, confused, and worried. I have been calling everyone I can possibly think of since he left trying to find him and every one says they either hadn't seen him or that he had just left from there. I have called his cell phone hundreds of times and never get an answer, and then the last call is always to my mother-in-law, and she doesn't tell me any specifics, but informs me that she either has just recently seen him or that he's there, but that he's been here and there going about his business since I last seen him, not seeming to be at all concerned about or even making mention of me. Then she either gets him on the phone or has him call me. At that point he tells me that it's over between the two of us, there's no chance of us getting back together so don't even bother trying because he already has someone else, and that this someone has been at his side since he left me. And altough he doesn't say it I get the impression that she had been the other woman for some time and that he had just been waiting for the perfect, and easy, opportunity to get away from me. But it comes totally without warning and I am of course hysterically upset and crying my eyes out. And although I have been having this dream almost every night for a year now, I always wake up teary eyed in a state of panic, and it takes me a minute to realize that I'm here in OUR bed, in OUR house, I AM his WIFE, and that once again it was just a dream, but they seem SO real every time. Now in real life my husband and I have a wonderful relationship, we are still very happy, very much in love, and have a fantastic sex life. We talk to eachother constantly when we are apart, always openly tell one another where we are, who we are with, and not because it's mandated but out of respect. Never has he not been where he said he was nor have I ever found him to be lying about who he's with. I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to think he's cheating, nor have I ever had any one else tell me they've seen him, think he might be, or even tried to fill my head with the idea. But yet I still have this dream and it's driving me CRAZY!!! WHAT:? GIVES?[/QUOTE]
