Thread: Last night I woke up screaming.

Hello, my name is Michael I'm 22 years old and I just joined this site today. I was prompted to look up a forums/site like this after a very strange almost disturbing dream I had last night while in bed with my boyfriend.

Firstly, let me start off by saying that I consider myself to be a rather practical person in slight touch with my spirituality. Energy itself being my biggest belief in the Universe. My birthday is March 20th, making me a Piscese of the Zodiac... the more "dreamy" of all the signs. I think I've fit most Astrological personality arch-types that describe the Piscese sign.

That being said, whether is holds relevance to my dreaming experiences Im not sure..but it seems too coincidental. So, mainly Ill say that my whole life I've had extremely lucid and Visually defined dreams. Normally in my dreams I do become aware that I am dreaming, but still hold little control over what Im dreaming about. My dreams often venture into very differently situations and themes. yet Im nearly always able to recount many things in my dreams with very clear detail. such as... the following;

Colors
The textures of objects and how they feel at my touch
the linear progression of my dreams
Smells
Emotions of others in dreams
My own Emotions at the time
concious to the fact I am in fact that im dreaming
the ability to wake myself from dreams if i feel threatened
the ability to wake up from a dream aware it was a dream and then
purposely fall back into the dream and continue the dream where i left off.

I can say that I believe i do dream nearly every night and by the morning Im only able to grasp bits of detail.

But at least twice a week I'm able to recount the whole dream and the situation I was in and all of the details

Lastly, i'd like to say that I do not ever have dreams that come true or anything involving pre-cognition..I just have insanely detailed dreams that occure often.

But last night, my dream felt very different from the others. Onto my dream...


(My dream); I was standing in the middle of my bedroom hugging my boyfriend. It was just a casual loving hug, I recall the bridge of my nose bumping the edge of his glasses my hands ruffling the color of his signature black polo(he wears black polo t's every day). We were hugging and then I turned to the open door of my room and I saw my boyfriend standing there. Not the same boyfriend I was still holdings but a nearly exact copy of him but He ws wearing an Orange T-shirt and he looked very forlorn in the face and he was not wearing his usual thick black rimmed glasses.

Imeditely I became distraught asking my boyfriend who was still holding me "Do you see that!? Do you See that!?" My boyfriend was staring in the direction of his doppleganger but was not able to see him standing there. He just shook his head and had a puzzled look on his face.

Thats when I became frightened in the dream and asked myself "is this a ghost?" As I asked myself if it was a ghost or not, the doppleganger turned slowly and said "I'm ready to go" and began to walk out of the frame of my doorway.

Having to know wether this image was a ghost or not I then got the erge to touch this image of my boyfriend wondering if it was corporeal or not...I remeber steadying my hand behind the base of my boyfriends neck to hold onto me as I reached for his copy-cat. As I extended my hand so did the doppleganger and he simply made no effort to reach for me he just held up his and waiting for me to reach him.

Finally my hands made contact with the tips of this dopplegangers fingers and in my dream i fully expected my hand to pass right through this copy-cats hands...but it didnt and out fingers locked firmly. As soon as our fingers locked and I realized it was a solid thing...I woke up literally screaming
"LIAR !!!"

++So first before anybody tells me boyfriend is cheating on me. Lol. No. In my dream, I was holding onto true image of him for support and comfort. I was directing my curiosity, fear, shock ect. at this false image parading around as him. The sensation of comfort I felt by holding onto him as I reached for this doppleganger gave me much confidence and support.+++


so this is my introduction to these forums and my dreams. I was just looking for a forum to post about my dreams and found this Lucid dreaming website. So far ive only ready to home pages introduction but i had to post about my dream before I lost the details to time. I plan on trying to follow the steps of Lucid dreaming and post about more dreams i might have.
