Thread: Dreamt about killing a black pig

The dreammoods.com site says:

To see a pig in your dream, symbolizes dirtiness, greediness, stubbornness or selfishness. Alternatively, the pig may represent opulence and overindulgence. Perhaps it refers to someone who is dirty or someone who is chauvinistic.

I don't know if the fact that the pig was black matters. Most pigs that aren't raised for food are. Did you know that? If so then it probably doesn't matter. Anyway, precanned interpretations should always be taken with a grain of salt.

It seems to have something to do with your friend. Was sex involved in your friend and you not being friends anymore? the first part of the dream connecting to where you and your friend are on the beach would seem to suggest that. I'd say that alot of the dream is about your friend. So whats the deal with that? any more details?

As a matter of fact it was. A long time ago I slept with his girlfriend while they were going out. This was before we were friends. He later found out and everyone got in a big fight with each other but him and I stayed friends through it all and became really good friends. That was more than a year ago.

Now he has a new girlfriend and her and I have been talking online. My friend is now extremely paranoid that I might try to do something with her too. It upsets me that he thinks that but there's nothing I can do based on our past. He has also given me a lot of grief over what I've done over the past and is having a hard time trusting me.

I did not know about the black pigs though.

When you think of pigs, what do you think? would boar have been a better word? boars are black. Often times, black can represent shadow and unknown/repressed influences. The location in the woods could be reinforcing that interpretation in this case.

Are you attracted to his current girlfriend? Is she attracted to you?

it seems like the dead animal tossed into the ocean could be the animosity from sleeping with his ex-girlfriend. It turned into a friendship. But now he has another girlfriend and you are, again, not respecting his territory. I know thats politically incorrect but instinctive feelings are beyond that realm.

Of course that's all just a bunch of wishy-washy "some other persons interpretation" so take it with a grain of salt. I would love any feedback though.

It might actually be write to say that it was a bore that attacked me instead of a pig. Realistically I am attracted to his new girlfriend and she seems to be attracted to me.

I'm not sure what i think when i think boar though, other than the boar's in Lost the tv show.

I think that when I try interpreting the dream myself, I've always had this guilt for sleeping with his ex-girlfriend, and now the same situation is coming up again so I guess to try and redeem myself I have to kill this pig who might actually represent my attraction to his new girlfriend. would that make sense?

Or that you have been confronted by greedy urges, and you stood up against them and one. Killing them with your own hands could mean that you stood up to them by yourself through your own power of will. The fact that you were sad about killing the pig could mean that you may still have the urges, or still want whatever it was by feeling greedy, but know now that you cant' have it. That's my best guess.

I just had a Dream of someone cutting pigs and piecing them back together. I think a pig in general represents a hypocrite. Black is like people who live in darkness ( LACK; discretion, understanding, fear of God. ) White usually Represents something Pure & Clean & Holy... The whole interpretation is Probably something you would sense more than I would.

For me; there are Pigs in my life, hypocrites who are greedy, dirty, etc. Dissecting it and reassembling; Maybe God is Cleaning someone's life and reassembling them to be better people... Anyone have Good Ideas...?
