      Dream about a stopping clock

Here is some overview of maybe the influence about the dream before i describe it.

My dad's boss who i knew died about month and a half ago - we were rather close so it was quite sad. In our religion we do mark the 40th day after his death which was a Friday but completely slipped my dad's mind and i wasn't aware off it.

Friday morning was when the dream happened.

I dreamed how someone came to our house while we were sleeping and someone had died, so continuing on, me and my family moved to another location and it was all quite normal and weird, but the strange part was that, i asked for the time and our clock in the house had stopped, but someone said i have a digital watch and gave it to me. I looked at the watch but the time didn't seem right - and the time kept resetting to 13.00 and it was counting backwards a few seconds and resets again.

When i woke up all i remember was possibly me or someone moving towards our house through our front door, and had a really scary and weird felling throughout the day and rather unconfortable but had no idea what it meant. The other important piece of information was our clock in the living room did stop after my dad tried change it few min forward around time after i woke 5.30am - could be a coincidence or something else.

The most memorable feeling was a sense of insecurity of someone has been walking around the house while you were sleeping and it is quite frightening.

Throughout the day i was scared something was going to happen at 1pm - but nothing did - that night i made sure every door was locked and paranoia kicked in.

Today we got a call from my dad's boss's close friend and he told us we missed the 40th day get together. Thats when this dream started to make sense and when i calculated the day he died with adding 40days it was the night i had the dream and it also does fall around the time of when he died.

My interpretation and view is that i don't know whether hes annoyed with me because i didn't personally go to his funeral or did anything to remember him. My dad on other hand did everything - went to his funeral etc.

But i don't have a doubt in my mind that he was the one that night who came and possibly flew around the house to visit us.

Any opinion/view or interpretation about clocks is welcome.

      Hi newcooler,

I think you're right, this was a visitation dream. I have been taught by inner guides to relate numbers in dreams to the Major Arcana cards in Tarot, and oddly, it's usually relevant to other people's dreams as well as my own. Major Arcana 13, or XIII is Death. He's telling you he's dead, but this card teaches that death is really just CHANGE. By being able to come to you in your dream, he's telling you that really, he's not! Yet, you can't turn back the clock, i.e., bring him back as he was. He has to move on. Change is inevitable.

I'm assuming this forty day thing is about when the spirit leaves the vicinity of the earth plane? I'm not familiar with the custom, but that would make sense to me. Spirits can often affect electronic devices, so the thing with your dad and the clock was synchronicity related to your dream. He's saying goodbye, he has to move on, he can't come back. He's saying... 5:30... 5+3=8... VIII is Strength in Tarot... to have strength in the face of his death. Understand, he is okay where he's going, on to his own new stage of growth, whatever that is. We can't really know fully what is involved. He wants you to know! To help you stop fearing death, to be strong.

That's a cool dream and synchronicity combo, really! Thanks for sharing it!

Wow thanks for your reply because your interpretation is very correct.

My dad has always missed everything about his Boss. When he died the whole business basically stopped, my dad lost his job - there were around 5 people working for him but him and my dad were always the main people that kept it going. looking back it was really a great the location and his boss made it what it was.

The VIII is Strength in Tarot makes a lot of sense because my dad hasn't been strong about him leaving and dwells on how it was before and the clock cant be turned back.

The "to have strength in the face of his death" to me is by far the most correct, in the sense that he had a heart problem and doctors told him to take his medication otherwise he would die in 2 weeks. He was a stubborn guy and didn't take his medication whilst working till 3am and getting up at 7am wasn't the best condition for him.

He has achieved so much in life but his family problems where big. To me after being told all that - i think in the end he wanted to just die. So the quote seems very correct to me.

      You're welcome, newcooler,

I hope your dad does okay with it all, and finds a new job soon. It must be scary for him with the economy the way it is right now!

      All best...
