Hi PleaseExit,
That's interesting, really... the world you see is black (building) and white (snow) as well as the gazelle. A gazelle is such a delicate animal compared to a horse, really, a variety of antelope, very fast. It sounds very feminine to me as well. Midnight makes me think of Cinderella having to leave the ball before the clock strikes twelve, or of the Biblical "eleventh hour" where all those hired before the eleventh hour will be paid the same wages (which is symbolically Heaven), or other kinds of "deadlines." It's as if the dream is saying we're counting down, and it makes me wonder if you are worried about End Times for the world, since the global map becomes the back drop. Perhaps the gazelle is Earth, and you fear her dying.
The thing is when there's all this black and white, we are looking at things only from an intellectual and legalistic kind of perspective. The gazelle, feeling feminine, says something to me here about a loss of color, which symbolizes emotions, a loss of creative urges that might solve problems, a lost of insight, intuition and imagination, which are all part of the feminine, a loss of art and music as well. It's as if it's saying, hey, you, it's getting close to midnight! Don't let the feminine die! Save the gazelle!
Snow often means that someone is doing a "snow job" on us... that they are telling us things that are not true. They are, here, building a tall black structure, which bespeaks that what they are building is unconscious. There is more going on, iow, than meets the black and white eye. We need to see with the other side of our brain, see beyond the black and white, find the color.
I know I've seen Equus, and I suspect it was back when I lived in San Francisco in the 1960's... lol... you will have to refresh my memory if you think it links to the dream. That was a long time ago! I saw a lot of plays when we lived there, which was one of the things I loved about the place. It's the only city I've ever liked being in, really.
Anyway, this dream is fascinating, and I hope some of that helps to unravel it for you!
