Dreams like this can be very upsetting, especially when they feel real and the emotions in them are very strong. Something you can remember is that when we dream, the part of our mind which regulates our emotional reactions (also the part of our brain which is logical) is typically shut off. So sometimes this means extremely emotional dreams.
The good news is, these kinds of dreams are generally not premonitions of the future or anything. Usually, it comes from some underlying fears, stresses, and insercurities (we all have them) about being in a relationship. It's totally normal to have these feelings. Compared to other people, you may not even have much fear at all of cheating. But even the smallest fears can come up in dreams, especially when they are ignored.
Finally, sometimes dreams shouldn't be taken as literally as they seem on the surface. Situations like this can be metaphors for other things going on in your life, so keep an eye out for possible comparisons.
I would keep an eye out, and if this a recurring dream, start thinking about whether or not it is pointing to some issues that need dealing with. Otherwise I wouldn't be too worried about it.
As always though, the final say of an interpretation lies with the dreamer, so go with what your own instincts tell you.
