      Heart broken

This is the first dream I've had, which I've found myself waking up realising I had cried at some point of the dream. A dream I've woken up in a foul mood, cry at the drop of the hat. A dream where I wake up and feel as if my heart has been broken into a million pieces.

I move into a new area, I don't know anyone. One night, there is a blizzard, it's very cold, an old woman sits on a bus shelter bench, there are a group of men standing. I offer her my thick coat, scarf, gloves and hat. Her son drives by and takes her home, leaving me standing at the bus shelter with a party dress that cannot keep me warm.

One of the man in the group beckons me to come forward, he opens his coat and I snuggle into it, he closes his coat around me. Some time later, I'm in the car with him, I'm sitting on his lap still sleeping.

Fast forward some time later, there is a ball in the area I have moved into. The man who offered me warmth at that cold, frigid night, dances with all the ladies in the ballroom, but me.

I leave just before the night ends, I don't want anyone to see me crying. He turns up at my house, while my eyes betray me my dignity.

He persisted with his query as to why I left early, and why I've been crying, he demands to know who upset me. I simply say "you".

Ah, don't you hate that kind of dreams? You're asking for nothing and you wake up in tears, persuaded that a loved one has died or some other horrible thing, and even if it's 'just a dream' you can't shake off the feeling and you're anguished all day...

I remember I had a dream about my grandpa. He died when I was 6 months. I woke up and I was bawling. Sorry to hear about your dream!

I have been able to pin point some things. I think in that dream, I gave everything at the expenses of my own well being, considering it was cold blizzard and I gave my coat to that woman. In real life I tend to give people a lot of what they ask for, I feel as if I tend to give my heart, soul and happiness.

At the time of the dream, looking through my diary, I've discovered that sometime before that I just had my fill of takers take all they can and could from me, while giving nothing back.

I think in someways, the man in the dream is me, the masculine side of me, I'm hurt and upset that that part has never really come out to protect me, despite courting all else at the expenses of my own being. So in sense I'm upset and angry that I can't bring myself to tell people to stop taking me for granted, or to put my foot down and mean it, or to promote myself better than a doormat I currently advertise myself as.

A cuddle is well appreciated and I feel all the more better now I understand what was happening or what was trying to get through, I need to reconnect to the masculine side and take a stand of a kind.

      Crying

While different in content I have woken up crying a few times. The most recent, you might laugh, was because I'd been dreaming about Concorde and that it was retired before I got the chance to travel on it. Another was that I dreamt about my cat who died over 6 years ago. The last one and is a dream Ive never forgotten which I had about 24 years ago when I was 8(and I'm starting to feel weepy now just writing this - still I'm feeling a bit odd today anyway so it might do me good!) I was with my sister on a day out at a place called Hornsea in East Yorkshire. It was dawn all the way through the dream and my sister had taken her pot plants with her. At the end of the trip I'd got a big round of cheese to take home and my sister had decided to leave her plants in Hornsea so that they could have a better life there. She kissed them goodbye and said "I'll visit you often"

      Sorry I've gone!!...

Sorry about that. I dont why it still affects me after all this time. Maybe its linked to some unresolved emotion?

I wake up crying fairly often, I'd guess about once a week or so.

I haven't had a dream quite like this, but 3 years ago, I moved to where I am now, and on occasion I STILL have dreams about my old friends. I had one a week ago, and one of my friends came back, as if she had just been gone for a few months. I had one about a year ago about another friend and I couldn't stop thinking about it all day, so I called her, we talked, she is SO different, and the rest is history. I HATE those dreams so much. After 3 years, I still on occasion have those dreams, but the sad feelings are becoming less and less.

      Huhhhhh...
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Probably exagerrated a bit but I'd say about once a fortnight would be average.

Sometimes when I wake up and lie in bed my eyes will just tear while im lying there awake, maybe I just have a problem

I used to cry all the time when I was younger, but generally not because I was sad mainly because I was so angry with impotent rage.

Nowadays I only cry in bed, sometimes before sleep (rarely though) infact I'd be tempted to say I cry more in my sleep than I ever have when awake.

On a random note, my cry-dreams are never lucid *growl* so I don't know what they are!

      Infact I can only remember 2 cry-dreams:

1 - I got a rabbit for a pet (which I've never had) and it got run over.

2 - I found my soulmate and was actually happy, then I realised it wasn't real and I was asleep. The last thing I remember was hugging her, trying to stay asleep as I woke up.
