This one has been bugging me for a while now. So here's how it starts.
Apparently, I'm conducting some sort of research on a river in some sort of incredibly dense forest. The scene sort of shifts, and I've got a view of myself from a third person view, and I'm sitting in a type of round boat that seems to be made of a cloth-like material. Somehow, it's floating. Anyway, the view is of me on this thing on top of the water but I can also see under the water as well. It's slightly dark, and I can't see very well under the water but I can see everything clear as day on top. I feel something brush against my back and at the same time as not knowing what it is, under the water I see a large fish-type creature brush past me. Then, a malevolent type fish-creature brushes against my back and I decide at that point it is time to get out of the water.
The scene shifts again, and I am on the shore of the river. I can no longer see in the water, but rather just the surface. Now, I'm tossing some type of food into the water for the fish. At first, benevolent little nice fishies come and eat the food I give them. The scene shifts, and I am under the distinct impression that it is the next day. I toss more food into the river, and this time bigger fish come. Again, a day passes, and I toss more food into the river. This time, a dolphin-sized fish of some sort appears. It is wearing a red and green mask with a large nose. It doesn't speak, but somehow I know it is the spirit of the river. It takes my offering, and goes back under the water. Then, another day passes. I toss food into the water, but this time, several crocodile-esque creatures swim to the shore. Their eyes are gleaming red, and I automatically know they are malevolent.
So I run away from the shore of the river, and as the scene shifts I'm at a bridge. I sit down on the edge of the bridge to recover, and a faerie type creature suddenly baps me on the head with a stalk of wheat as though admonishing me for something. It shakes two fingers from side to side like a parent would when saying "That's a no-no." to a child. It flies around me, and I decide to go over the bridge. When I do, I notice the dead bodies of the smaller and bigger fish that I fed previously floating down the river. For some reason, I know I'm the reason they are dead. And for whatever other reason, I didn't see them as just fish. I actually felt for them, and I felt really bad. I broke down crying and every step I took towards the other side of the bridge felt as though gravity had doubled and I could barely move. I collapsed in a heap of tears, and actually woke up with a wet pillow and tears streaming down my face.
Weird, huh?
