astral projection or lucid dream?

Last night I had a dream that was really intense and seemed real. It was a sexual dream involving someone I've had a sexual relationship with in the past but recently been trying to distance myself from. I still want to be with him but he has been very back and forth with our relationship so it has been strained recently. Anyway in my dream we did all the physical things we've done in the past...and i mean move for move was the same. i don't want to get too graphic here but i could FEEL everything, then we fell asleep and when I woke up (in real life) he was obviously not there but I felt like it actually happened. A friend of mine mentioned that maybe its astral projection (i was never aware of this before) and that he is coming to me on a different level since in the conscious world he is so uncertain. wouldn't that mean that he'd have to be open to it as well, even if its on a subconcious level? i have been thinking about this all day...what it means (if anything) and if in fact it was an astral projection or just a very lucid dream. how could i tell?

It sounds like it was actually him. Whether it was astral projection or a lucid dream is hard to say. In my experience, astral projection feels more "real".

In my experience, astral projection feels more "real". you say that it sounds like it was actually him...so does that mean that in both astral projection and lucid dreaming a person can come to you on some level, while you sleep?
