Thread: Hey there, first post

Hi everyone, nice to meet you.

I was hoping some of you who know more about dreams than I do could interpret this one for me. It seems fairly straightforward, but I know that dreams usually don't mean what they ostensibly appear to mean. I should also mention that I did not have this dream, rather a woman I know had it and relayed it to me. I am just going to copy and paste the text she sent me, in brackets I will fill in details about the specific people she mentions. She mentioned to me that everything felt "nice and right" until she couldn't find Jen.

The nature of my relationship with this woman is odd. I am 26 years old and she is 23. We met nine years ago. Throughout that duration of time there has been periods of mutual attraction and periods of emotional turmoil between us. We have never been in an exclusive relationship. For some reason the relationship is cyclical, we will go through long periods of time not speaking to each other, hostilities will ease, flirting and such will happen, we will reach the point where a relationship seems inevitable, and then something will happen that will tear down what we've built up over the span of friendly time and another period of no communication will ensue. I should also mention that we are just coming off another long cooling off period, having just resumed communications about 2 weeks ago. She also mentioned to me last Sunday night that she ended things with the guy she was currently seeing that night. She is now single and lives with her cousin. Her and I have often discussed the prospects of a relationship and marriage to each other. Well, without further ado here is her dream, as relayed to me:

"I went back to Ontario to visit you and you made me go see amanda (a mutual friend of ours. The dreamer and Amanda are currently having a fight regarding the state of Amanda's marriage). And everyone was keeping me from jen (another mutual friend, the dreamer gets along with her). Then you and I decided to get married and I was driving in the snow looking for jen. You were beside me comming to tell Jen that we were getting married. And you had a lot of cars and I was driving a blue neon (not sure about this, in real life I drive a blue Honda Civic) and your parents and I were fighting, they were arguing that I was bad for you. So I kept kissing you in front of your mom to spite her. I'm a bad person in dreamland! I could feel all your bones in my dream. It was freaky."
