meadows and people

It's a wonderful late spring day, as I follow this dusty dirt track. Puffy clouds float lazily on the steel blue sky, to the left and right of my path are meadows decorated with innumerable flowers in the brightest colors, while a bit further away I can see the forest edge inviting me to find shelter of the sun if I feel like it. Everything is alive and buzzing and chirring. Somewhere behind me, in quite some distance, are some friends of mine. They argue about things not of interest to me, so I enjoy beeing currently unable to hear them, beeing just for myself surrounded by beauty.
As I follow the path it's slowly getting narrower, as we get farther and farther away from civilization. After having climbed a small hill, I see the path taking a turn to the left, where it splits. A dozen trees surround that crossing, giving it the looks and feel of a small chapel of some sorts. As I approach it, wondering which direction to follow, I see three dead vultures lying at the crossing, one each at the start of the paths. Flees are already buzzing all over them. I'm not disgusted, I'm just wondering why they are arranged in this order. Does this mean something? I have no idea. They don't seem to be much larger than the birds I normally see, but I definately know they are vultures. After a while of pondering, I decide to take the path to the right.
The friends behind me slowly vanish, out of sight out of mind, beeing replaced by a single presence. A larger presence, seeming a bit fatherly in existence, or protective of some sort. I just walk on. Right before I start to worry about the condition of the path and our distance to civilization, the state of the path improves considerably. On the one hand I'm glad about that, on the other hand I miss for the serenity this forces me to leave behind.
Some of the meadows get replaced by fields, on which curiously nothing grows. They're just of dug up earth with this typical line pattern. I also notice somewhere on my left, in the distance, a cave. The way I make out the entrance to be decorated, I suppose it's some kind of tourist attraction. For a moment I hesitate if I should check it out, but then just walk on. And walk, and walk.
Finally we, me and that other presence who turned out to be some.... rather tall person, who for the last few minutes walked right next to me instead of behind me, reach a complex of buildings. It seems to be something like a..... uhm... I'm not sure. It's made for people who want to spend their vacation in this area, offering not too much comfort beeing simple all in all. I don't see any people though, just us two. The person next to me seems to have aquired a certain purposefulness however, knowing exactly where to go, focusing on one aim, like a bee that was just flying around until having found a flowery meadow, or a predator having picked up the scent of a prey (however without any traces of violence in this situation).

I follow him as we enter one of the buildings and walk through some rooms. In the next room we enter, I see another person. He (or she) looks very androgynous, beeing about roughly the same height and body shape as me, maybe two or three years younger. The man having brought me here walks on to the next room. I myself am startled. The person I just meet seems familiar, very familiar. Like a song whichs melody I remember but the name I can't grasp. I see him (or her) beeing puzzled in the same way. I'm confused, so I greet him (or her) with a friendly touch to the shoulder, beeing a bit firmer than I'd normally be and gently carressing him(her) in a subliminal way for half a second, before I let go and follow the guy who already went to the other room. I feel the androgynous persons gaze in my back as I leave the room, entering the next one, where that other guy is waiting for me. I'm still a bit dazzled and ain't too sure what to do, but then I realize that I can't just walk away from here, that I have to solve this. I tell the guy to please wait a moment, that I'll be back right away, and while I turn around to walk back, I think I seem him smile as he says he'll go for a walk in the meantime.

As I enter the other room again I still see him (or her) standing there, beeing obviously very happy and relieved that I came back. I'm still confused myself. Who is this person? Why does he(she) seem so incredibly familiar? What is this supposed to mean and what am I supposed to do? I'm at a complete loss.
What happens next I can't quite remember. We hug each other. Things seem to fall in place, to fit. Everything seems to be alright. Information flows back and forth by means of words, gestures, hugs and more, beeing welcomed and cherished resulting in universal bliss.
