Pit of doom, one jumps in, all follow
I had this dream last year.
I wasn't part of the dream, but I was observing it from a 3rd person perspective, except I had no body...I was simply a floating thought.
Image a dark, damp, hollow, brick cylinder. Go inside. From the top looking down is a dark, seemingly bottom less pit. Looking up, imagine a ring. Standing on the edges of this ring were about 10-15 people. One man put his arms up and jumped off the ring towards the pit. I the noticed they were chained together at the ankles. Thus one by one they all were pulled downward toward the pit. I remember feeling guilt, remose and like I needed to do something to stop this, but it all happened to quickly for me to react in time. There were gloomy colors, I remember mostly a deep dark red, along with dark greens and skin tones. Never figured out what this meant. Anyone up for giving me their opinion?

I immediately think that this dream is representing the fact that you are aware of something that you are doing which causes several other people to come to try and help you. However, when these people try to help you, they become involved and can't necessarily get out of it.
I can't exactly hypothesise over what the situation may be.. but I would assume something in association with public affairs. Possible gossiping?
Anyway, it seems to me that the dream is saying, "I know what I am doing is causing stress on others.. but I'm stuck and I need the help."
Does that come close at all? Your feedback helps the interpretation a lot.
was it a history lesson??
Dunno but it strongly reminds me of one of my history lessons:
it was during the english empire where they cought the africans, put them on a boat and would take them to new york for slave trading.
but if a bunch of people were ill. they would chain then by they ankles, and tip them off the bridge while the first person would be pulling down under water! and while watching this (it was a movie) i felt pity, remorse and especially guilt as it wast our empire that was the couse of this!
