dream locations

i cant seem to understand the location themes in my dreams. sometimes im at work, which ive come to decide is symbolic of my personal development. i chose this because its been such a recurring theme over the years. then there's the nyc locale, which i havent a clue to what that means. maybe my social life. it would say alot that my social life would be somewhere i used to live rather than where i live now. then there's this house that ive dreamt about a few times. i have journal entries where i knew that i was dreaming in that location before. i find myself around bermuda a lot, but near my neighborhood. i even dream of being in my home, but things are usually different in a noticable way, except i only notice after awakening.

-my home: usually different, but sometimes very correct
-my workplace: always changing; lights, size, contents
-nyc: all areas, but mostly lower manhattan, sometimes harlem, brooklyn
-strange houses: not necessarily strange, but places ive never been to in RL, but have been there repeatedly in dreams
-dark interiors: not as common as the strange houses, but nevertheless recurring, became lucid once in one of these
-my neighbourhood: always within walking distance of my home in all directions, ive walked home on few occasions, and others ive ventured out from home
-airports: ive seen plane crashes, taken flights that have crashed, taken flights that havent crashed, hung out at the airport bar, went through customs, picked up visitors, etc.

:?: can anyone enlighten me on the meaning of any of these locations? :?:

The Home - Usually represents someones personal life, personal development, etc. What you think it defines, is it.
Workplace - Most likely simply represents your worklife, your perspective on your career, etc.
NYC - You think it represents your social life, so that's what it represents. Usually city and public areas represent this.
Strange Houses - They can represent houses that you want to have, friends houses, they can represent an atmosphere of an emotion (ie. dark, crappy house, representing sadness or being poor).
Dark Interiors - I don't quite get what you mean by this.. but it most likely represents frustration, the feeling of being alone, or even anger.
Neighbourhood - I'm guessing represents either your childhood or your current neighborhood which represents your sense of security of happiness, etc.
Airports - Symbolizes the sense of travel, change, etc. Plane crashes symbolizing a failed change or one you don't want to happen. Can symbolize new things coming in/out of your life, etc.

NYC : a fresh and new feeling in your life.. often we wake up feeling as if we are seeing the world in a new way
WORK : maybe some issue at work.. but also you can be working on these issues
AIRPORTS : Wanting to get some project or something moving quickly
