Book of Dreams

These are the dreams of M. L. O'Neill.

I am trying to get all of my dreams collected in one place. Some of these dreams are from my pen and paper dream journal. Others are memory of dreams from quite a while ago. I will also be adding new dreams as they come.

I was in some type of disuesd compund in a forest high in the mountains. A group of people lived here. One of them was a lady who seemed to know the layout of the place. She was leading us on a tour through some very old parts of the compound that extended underground. The further along we went the more and more delapidated everything looked.

This lady thought firmly that she was guiding us towards another exit. We cam down yet another set of stairs and went through the only door into a room knee deep in water inhabited by giant rats. When we got through the room we found ourselves in a place we'd already been. The lady seemed to be in despair, having led us in a circle, and the group began to panic. But I was able to lead us out into the day light.

Waking up on a beach with my shirt off. I must have been sun bathing. It seems like I am in my home town. But, everything is changed slightly. Friends from my childhood come by; but, they are hanged as well.

We wander off the beach into town, stopping and talking with different people as we go. Eventually we end up in the funky small chinese resteraunt where my Uncle Paul (ex-tresury secretary) and many other people I don't know are having a meeting. I sit down with them. My uncle gives me a job running errands for him all over the city.

Before I know it the errands have become government missions to kill people and retrieve things. After completing a few of these I am taken to a meeting with the president. He keeps refering to S.A. and some thing he wrote. Then he gives me something and I'm send out on some sort of race with many people chasing me with guns.

It all disolves into some squabble between me and my friends about who shot who in the immaginary war we were having. Then I'm back at the camp grounds I spend my childhood summers at and my childhood crush is asking me what I've been doing lately.

I am on the beach and a priestess is laying people down in front of the tide so the water can wash over them. I lay down in the water and feel the current pull me out and then push me back towards the shore. I can see glimpses of the other people in the water rolling with the tide. Eventually we all climb out.

The priestess is telling me something about being in the water: "...it's not like meditating, but more like recalling a dream..."

Now I've been taken to a banquet with everyone who was in the water. Beautifull girls are dancing topless around the table, bringing us delicious food. The girl next to me is offended by the topless women for some reason and leaves the feast after she vomits on her pizza.

For some reason I'm lead away from the feast into a prison cell. In the cell one of the other ocupants asks me for money. I tell him I don't have any, even though I do. Then the guard makes me empty out my pockets and I have to confess that I lied.

One of the serving girls comes and gets me from the prison cell. She kisses me and then tells me that she can't love me because she's found someone else.

I arrive at this massive stone temple. Several priests and priestesses are there causing parts of the temple to raise and lower. Finally everything is in place and I begin to intone different notes which create dimensional portals under some of the stone archways.

I am running down a very steep snow covered mountain. A large shape changing creature is following me. First it appears as a wolf and then slowly morphs into a huge black panther with tentacles. I float off the ground so it can't reach me and I travel on further down the mountain untill I come to a massive ruins. At the center of the ruinds is a huge tower. Every minute or so the top of it tips over at a 60 degree angle to spew forth blood or bones. I feel an urging need to go inside.

Having traveled deep inside I find myself pouring through and ancient tome to find the meanings of the symbols of an alter before me. The alter is some puzzle I must unravel before I can move further. In the book are many things of some ancient order that constructed these ruins.

I've been hitch hiking and I get dropped off outside of Amsterdam. I start wandering towards the city and end up walking over this huge bridge that goes over a large canal towards the city. But once I get into the city I get lost and end up in some baseball park.

I start to become Lucid and I notice there are a lot of hot girls around, so I decide to have sex with one of them. At this point I sort of loose the scene around me, but I manage to stay lucid by looking at the floor for a bit. When I look back up I'm in a room with this girl.

A little while later I find myself walking past a theatre. I hear someone talking about a Legendary Pink Dots concert, so I go buy a ticket. As I'm trying to pay I reach into my wallet, but there's no credit card. I think to myself 'there is a credit card in the other pocket,' and when I reach back in, I pull out the card.

As I'm walking towards the concert I get distracted when my friend A. shows up. I realize there is something else I've got to do, so I give him the ticket and wander off.

I am in a strange Occult store, with all sorts of crystals and things. I over hear the woman who owns the store trying to get a man to buy a certain crystal for his son. They all leave and I'm alone in the shop when I see a troll/warlock appear carying a wooden staff. The woman appears and scolds the creature.

Now I am the troll/warlock thing and the woman is taking my staff and giving me a fake. In deffiance I levitate off the ground a bit and float away from her. She says something which cancels my spell and I land on the ground. In anger I turn and strike her with the stick. It shatters and the woman cowers in a corner. Yet, she still mocks me. I strike again only to have the remnants of the staff shattered.

Now I am observing some type of magical computer shich is acting as an eye, recording all of this. It shuts off when it sees I am watching it. I leave the store so the woman can't see me anymore.

Sitting at a coffee shop, the woman approaches me. She puts me under some charm and tries to frighten me by transforming her face into horrible contorted expressions. I break the spell and walk away.

I hide my mind by following other people on the street and focusing only on their actions. She continues to persue me, appearing in the bodies of those I see. She continues to try and horrify me with revolting tricks like regurgitating spoons. Eventually I get away from her with some type of banishing.

I've just left a party and am walking down a country road towards a city as I become lucid. I fly up into the air and begin exploring the city which seems like a mideval walled city. There seems to be a limit to how high I can fly. But, I am enjoying just looking at all the vibrant reds and oranges of the trees and exploring the city. As I am heading towards a courtyard with a tall tower I see someone floating by me garbed in blue with a katana strapped to his side.

In the courtyard I encounter my mother, who is scolding me for something. I walk inside the tower, because I can't fly anymore in her presence. But, she follows me in and continues scolding me. Then I realize it isn't really my mother, but some subconscious force limiting me. So I shrink her down to the size of an ant and squash it. But, when I go into the next room she is there, even angrier. I force push her away. She gets up and tries to shot lightning at me but is unable to. Yet I get knocked into darkness.

I look up and to the right and the dream reforms. I am right back where I was, but the negative force is gone. Remembering the flying ninja, I decide to look for a sword. So, I leave the tower and head back into the city.

As I wander through a Japanese style open market place I telepathically ask people where I can find a sword, since I'm unable to speak at this point. A man directs me towards what appears to be a temple. I try and go upstairs, but I am stopped and asked if I need a woman to accompany me, like it's some sort of brothel.

I leave the sex temple. By now I've found my voice and I ask a security guard where I can find a sword. Walking in the direction he pointed I find a cafeteria looking place with a wall that has tons of swords on it. As I inspect the wall all I see are broken or very fragile looking swords. None of them are in the style I'm looking for.

When I get to the end of the wall I see a curtain. Past the curtain is a room with tattami matt floors and more curtains dividing up the room. I hear a japanese lady say "knock, knock, come in." I part the curtains to the right and see a sword smith and his wife. I bow to both of them, but the sword smith says it's unnecessary. I ask him about getting a sword or even a Katana and Wakizashi set. He hands me a broken tanto and tells me to look around.

The swordsmith says that all of the things he has are very old and fragile, but he has made some fine weapons in the past. He hands me a sword that is somewhat katana shaped. But, in the middle of the sword, the blade curves back the opposite direction to form an edge on the opposite side. The metal looks dull and fragile.

Then I wake up...

I am in a walled courtyard outside of a museum walking with George Bush and some advisor of his. The advisor is talking about how the city officials only care about getting into office so they can have controll of the museum and all of its treasures. I look at W. and we make eye contact. Some jolt passes between us and I think I see a thought in his eyes.

I think I've discovered some weakness in my adversary. But, then I hear W.'s voice in my head saying that it isn't wise to reveal my weakness to opponents. This startles me and I look away.

I notice I'm carying some walking stick with a strange button on the handle. I realize I am lucid. I turn to W. who is walking with me to ask him a question. As I speak he morphs into a translucent simulacrum of me in all sorts of shades of grey, but no color.

I ask my shadow what my weakness is. It replies "Your addiction."
"What is that," I ask.
The shadow stops walking and looks right at me as it says, "video games."
I take my walking stick and plunge it into the chest of my shadow, whose features immediately start to fade. The walls of the courtyard are gone and day has turned to night. The ocean is just beyond the stone I'm standing on. I force push the falling body out onto the sand to be carried away by the sea.

I am in a huge auditorium filled with many people my age. Some secret society is hosting some recruitment drive or info session or something. A dark haired man comes into the room and calls out 5 names. I recognize Nicholas Kucha as well as my own name.

We are taken out of the auditorium to another part of the facility. I see other people here finishing the procedure we are to be put through. I am put into a cylindrical room where an operation begins. My right eye is augmented with a special lens and something is injected into me. As I stand before a mirror I feel power surging through me and feel my mind speed up.

I come out of the room to be greeted by the dark haired man who takes me and a few other students on a tour. As we walk he explains that we will each be given tasks to complete before we can advance our studies. I quickly demonstrate that I am far beyond the simple tasks he has for the other students and I am sent off on some scouting mission.

I'm driving home from my friend A's house who lives out in the country. I turn off the country road onto a main highway. It is very late at night. No cars are on the road. I am extremely tired and am having a hard time staying on the right side of the road. Finally I give up on trying to drive home and stop the car.

There is a bridge the road goes over that I walk underneath. Across the little chasm there is a tall grey house I make my way towards. Inside the house is like a museum, with all sorts of old clocks and bits of folk art. This could have been my house as a child if my parents had more money. As I'm walking through the house the sense of familiarity even though I've never been here tips me off and I do a reality check. Sure enough, I'm LUCID

I walk around a bit more just looking at all the things and then I get the urge to look upstairs. I start climbing the staircase, which is very narrow. It stops before it reaches the top and there is a small square opening to the top floor that is only about 6"x6". I will the opening to be bigger and fly through it to the door leading to the upper floor.

Opening the door I see my body lying in bed. It wakes up and looks straight at me. All of a sudden I am being pulled towards it and I fly in right through my eyes. Suddenly blackness and lucidity fades.

Now I'm in a car driving down some street that looks like my neighborhood in Portland. My car gets hit and I spin into oncoming traffic. I decide to get out and walk. As I'm walking along I see the car I was in get hit and spin into on coming traffic. I continue on in the direction I was going to see a giant Taco Bell the size of a Safeway. I realize that is the direction of the house that made me loose my LD and I turn around.

I am lucid again standing in a church graveyard. I think that I'd like to go inside the curch and see if N is inside. But I have to climb over all of these huge gravestones which are very hard and tall. I guess I was feeling some sleep paralysis then, because I couldn't really make any progress and then I woke up.

I am lying in bed with N. We hold each other tight and the most intense feeling of love/longing/hope/empathy is flowing between us. I know I am going to wake up soon. I hold on as tight as I can, hoping that somehow I will be able to take her back to the waking world with me.

And then I am awake, and she is gone.

This one is from about six or seven months ago.

**This dream is disturbing!**

I am in Guantanamo Bay filming a documentary of some sorts. A soldier who works there is taking me on a tour of the facilities. Everything he's shown me so far seems prety normal, offices where paperwork gets done and other standard prison fare. Now it's time to see one of the interogation rooms.

The soldier gives me a strange safety suit to put on and some rubber gloves. I have a lot of difficulty getting the suit on and I'm unable to get the gloves on before the guide is off and moving again. I don't want to miss this part so I follow him through the darkroom type door into the interrogation facility.

This is stark contrast to the clean office. The tile walls and floor are covered in grime. A tiny bit of light seeps through dirt caked windows. Part of the floor is covered in water. The guard takes me through a few similar rooms, down a hallway and into a room where someone is being interogated. My heart sinks to the bottom of my stomach when I see that it is my friend Mike F.!

I haven't seen him for a while, but there's no way he should be here! They have Mike tied up to a hospital bed and there are all sorts of electrical wires tangled up with him. His skin is bright red from some plants they have all around him which he seems to be alergic to. His eyes are dialated and he doesn't recognize me at first. The whole thing is making me feel very uneasy...

Do they know I know Mike F.? Did he tell them I knew something? Then he starts talking to me. "O'Neill, it's good to see you man..." then he leans a bit closer to me and whispers "You didn't tell them anything about the plan did you?"

Now the guards are telling me something about his case. One of them is trying to get me to shock Mike F.. I keep refusing. Somehow I've gotten tangled up in the wires too and I feel the shocking sensation numbing my entire body. I fall back onto another bed and loose consciousness.

I am a part of some strange army task force. We are conducting some type of opperation, breaking into some secure enemy area. I realize the charge to disable the enemy security has been put in the wrong place. I start doing some magic and levitate it over the enemy base and into the correct position.

For some reason one of my team comes over to look at the charge and sets it off before it's time. Another turns on this weapon that starts hurling spinning saw blades towards the direction of some other troops. We abort the mission and head back to the base for dinner.

The task force is sitting at a large dinner table with the president, his wife, and the strategist who planned the opperation. The strategist looks like he could be straight out of a hellraiser movie, with creepy pale skin and scars all over his face. The president says something about how hard we all fought and that it was a shame some of us died because of the strategists intentional mistakes. The strategist makes some noise of protest and then dissapears. We say Will and then eat.

Later I am in a labratory looking over my service records. I find something that disturbs me and I go into the medic area of the lab. There someone is getting a blood transfusion to get rid of his drunkenness. I feel confused and like I might be drunk too; so, I ask another member of the team if he can give me a transfusion. But, he just walks away. I start to hear strange music coming from nowhere and I sit down at a computer to try and figure out what's going on.

The guy I asked to give me a transfusion comes back with another doctor. But they both look tainted like the strategist looked. The team mate looks at me and says, "that's right I remember. You looked at me like a schitsophrenic and asked me to give you a blood transfusion to cure your alcoholism." Then the doctor approaches me and I notice the music again. He's holding some long needle with some ooze driping off of it. I feel the fear building inside of me and I back away as he sits down next to me. "Good, that urge of action is the essence of life. But, death is the reaction to all the moments you lived."

I am involved in some futuristic game. There are two teams, red and blue. Each team has a flying ship and each team member has a motorcycle with extreme jumping capabilities. All the vehicles move through the circular course at high speeds, the ships flying and the motorcycles jumping back and forth across the chasm in the middle and riding along the sides. All players have color guns, which shoot blobs of color. The object is to get as much of your color as you can onto the other teams ship.

I play through a few rounds of this game before I end up off course and walk out of the arena. I realize as I'm walking under a low over hang that I'm lucid. But as soon as I try to pull the hood I'm wearing off to get better peripheral vision the dream blurs to white and I can't see anything. I manage to stay relaxed and the dream comes back, with me still lucid!

I just start walking down the street looking at things. The sidewalk is made of brown bricks and the building next to it is made of concrete. There is a normal looking tree by the road. There is the head of a little girl with blond curly hair on the sidewalk. I walk closer to see it looks like its been cut clean off, but she's still alive. I ask her what she's doing. "Waiting," she says. I ask her for what, and she says "the rain."

I start to feel very cold and I loose the dream again. But I still don't fully wake up and when I get back to the dream T. and some other friends from the Lodge swoop down in a flying car and take me inside the car where it's warm.

I am at a party at someones house I've never been in before. For some reason one of the rooms is set up kind of like a store. There are all sorts of flowers for sale, wrapped in plastic packaging. They look like carnations, and they come in blue or in white with reddish pink edges to the petals.

Many O.T.O. people are there, including J and S. J says something about his sponsord communicant giving up on him and asks if I'd like to take her place. Then these two girls I seem to have met a few days ago show up asking when the meeting is supposed to be. J tells them there is no meeting and they ask why they were told to come by. I say, "maybe we just like having you around."

Now H and E show up and I go over and talk to them. H has brough his guitar and other people suggest there be music. Then J.E. from the LCC plays shows up with this crazy instrument that is some type of sampler/synthesizer and starts making wierd electronic music sounds with it as he's playing the one string of the instrument like a bass.

The instrament was about as long as a keyboard. Along the front of it was a big black string. On the left side was a two octave key pad. The rest of the instrament was covered with switches, sliders, and knobs that were used to adjust the loops and change the sound. I tried to read the name of the manufacturer, but the letters kept shifting back and forth.

After I messed around with the crazy instrument for a bit J.E. leaned back against the wall looking up at the celing and told me to look at it. I could see some design on the vaulted celing but I wasn't sure what he wanted me to look at. I asked him and he said "the celing of the haunted house."

Then my phone rang in the waking world and the dream was gone
