Inside a DANGERUSS Mind

This first post will be an index, giving character descriptions for those from RL and the dream world. I'll add characters as they appear.

Real life:
CB: Friend and adept lucid dreamer. Psychoactive enthusiast.

Fat Man: Stood in the way of my returning to the ice cavern. Appears often in times of negative emotion. One argument with him revealed that he's trying to convince me that I'm not fat anymore.
Hernon: A mysterious character that I've been told about in dreams, I think he lives in coney island. I believe him to have some secrets to tell, but he's difficult to find because he's immensely rich and powerful.


Blue represents a lucid dream. Nice and simple.

I'll start this off with yesterday and the day before. I don't want to go too far back, because things were different a little while ago. Ok, here goes!

(Last lucid dream in memory, last wednesday)
Most vivid dream in recent memory. Lucid but passive.
I'm in a room with a few anonymous dream characters. I remember from previous dream fragments, which I can't remember, that my goal was to escape this place, and they've already caught me and brought me back twice. Someone mentions that they need to talk to a male DC who is downstairs/in the garage. I say that I'm going to get him and waste no time heading out the door. I go down and around the house, taking two steps at a time as I head down the stairs, and suddenly I realize that I'm dreaming. I look around, amazed at the scenery. Across the street there's a bike, and since it's the only thing around for miles (I'm in the middle of a desert, the house is stucco and southwestern) I decide I was meant to ride it. I first try to climb into the bike as though it were a car (stupid!), but find that it's locked. Instead I just hop on top of the bike and ride away. I observe my vivid surroundings in awe as I ride, and pass by a street sign labeled "Stoughton street" (Stoughton is a town near me)

The path leads me back to the northeast, and I find myself on a dirt road that winds through the forest. I lost my bike somehow... Anyway, I catch up to a pickup truck, which is following a yellow lab. I realize that the lab is my dog, and the driver is some asshole who thinks I don't deserve to have the dog (He yells that if I can't keep up with the dog then I don't deserve to have it. Stupid dream logic.) I'm still lucid but I'm very curious to see where I'm being led, so I refrain from intervening and run fast enough to keep up, but not fast enough to catch up and stop the situation. The truck eventually fades out but I find myself in the elementary school. I see the dog inside the cafeteria, walk in and retrieve him.

At this point the dream kind of rewinds. I find myself back on the path in the woods. It resembles borderland. There had been a narrow stream which I stepped over before, but now it's much wider, and it will take me getting my feet wet to get over it, and so I decide to turn around. Upon turning I'm back in the elementary school, except this time it's a cat that I've lost, and this time I'm crying. A teacher asks me what I'm doing there. I tell her I think my cat is here. She responds "I know where your cat is." I follow her through the cafeteria, ashamed because there's a big meeting with a bunch of teachers there. I see familiar teachers, but mostly they're DCs that are very lifelike but completely strange to me. The last teacher I pass is Mr C, my home ec teacher from 8th grade. The teacher leads me to a classroom and gets my cat. I'm then on a couch playing with the cat for some time before waking up.


This was a very unusual dream for me. I don't have a cat OR a dog. The dreamscape was so vivid that it felt as if it were more colorful and vivid than any comparable place in reality could be. It was also REALLY long. I know it went on for some time before I gained lucidity, which is when I started remembering.

September 14
(Woke up at 4 am, feeling quite groggy, remembered a short dream segment but couldn't piece together the whole thing):

Walking next to a house, have a cigar in my mouth. Decide to throw it away. Upon trying to enter the house I was stopped by a security guard. He made me empty my pockets. I didn't have anything illegal, just my lighter and some cigar wraps. I took back my stuff, leaving the wraps on the table, and went inside. I looked back and saw the package was beaten up. I went in the house, but I can't remember before or after this segment...

(Woke up again at 6:00AM with this longer dream):

Driving with my family and CB. Outside there was a suburb. We went by a few movie theaters, which appeared as big buildings with hige glass windows, and large tropical plants inside.

(The rest is out of order and mixed up. I'll try, though.)

Gambling is on the menu for tonight. PS tells me there's some money upstairs I can borrow. I go to the attic and find a cardboard box, with rolls of singles stashed in books or under things. I leave some behind since I'm not a big gambler. I end up losing all the money.

Driving up to the south common in my town I see there's a wedding going on. The town appears as a small village with a few houses rather than the suburb of 40,000 that it normally is. Doesn't bother me. I call up greg, whom i almost never talk to, and asks him if he wants to gamble with us. He says it's too late for him, he has somewhere to go that night. I go back to the attic for more money, but only find a check for $8 and a small roll of ones. I decide to just leave them because poker sucks anyway.

At McDonald's with Miko. They sell beer now! hot damn! They also sell paper mcBeer Steins, which I think is pretty hilarious. Joe drives us back to the house (not my house, dream house) and we continue our drinking in the basement. I have a six pack and kill two while talking to miko. I realize that the basement is now a garage, and the right door is open. It's my garage. LB walks up the sidewalk and sits down cross-legged and straight backed just inside the door. I notice her stomach is very flat and she's looking very hot.

A strange dream in the sense that it related to reality a lot and at the same time not at all. I found out that PS's 2nd wedding reception would be in the south common the next day, which would be a weird premonition, but I might have heard before and simply not conciously remembered. The day after, KL said she was going to germany for octoberfest and then to ireland, and thanks to this dream, I knew exactly what I wanted for a souvenier: a beer stein!

September 15
A long dream with mediocre recall, due to being woken up because I was late, and therefore not having enough time to record everything in my DJ.


School. CB and I start talking and wandering the halls as we often do. We decide to start spreading the word that there's gonna be a HUGE party in one of the classrooms after school. We go to our separate classes and do just that. For a while it's just me telling people to go to a certain place after school.

CB and I meet up after school in said classroom. He climbs on top of a large machine that looks like a teleporter or something futuristic, and sits cross-legged. He announces to me that he might do some drinking later that day since he had nothing else going on. I laugh and shake my head.

People start showing up, and very soon there's a HUGE ARMY of DCs, all talking excitedly about our gathering. I decide that the best thing to do with such a big crowd is for everyone to leave at once, in a stampede of sorts. This idea is well received, and we all stampede down the stairs and out the door. There are several cop cars waiting for us. CB teleports around, acts crazy as fuck, and runs away. I start to do the same thing, but the cop says that I won't get away with such confidence that I stop trying to escape and just give in. As they start stopping more and more kids I hear the cop say into his radio that he caught a bunch of kids drunk and selling drugs. I scorn his ignorance and tell him it wasn't anything like that. He seems sure of himself and laughs off my denial. Everyone who the police stop is made to sit cross-legged in the parking lot. Cop asks for my license, and I give it to him. Weirdly, it's blank on both sides. I rationalized that it must have faded due to it being in my wallet for so long (stupid!). I give it to him anyway, and as they deliberate I look around. They let me go beause I really haven't done anything wrong at all, and hand me back my license in an envelope. CB shows up again, glad that we're rid of the police. We ride bikes and walk home. It's an uneventful but scenic trip through some places that I didn't recognize at all, but seemed reminiscent of my childhood dreams now that I reflect on them. I walked through a baseball diamond and into my house. My mom was a little unhappy that I had had such a big encounter with the police, but CB told her that we hadn't done anything wrong and so had nothing to fear. From here it fades...


In my loft. Some DCs are around which I perceive to be mandalorians, minus the armor.
They're doing some pretty weird upgrades and fortifications to the place, nailing down small white plastic things with trip wires attached to random places. I think I see the fabric of the dream itself pulled off the floor a little, but I look away because it looks like its only the carpet being pulled up by the wire being too tight. Whatever, not like anything here makes sense anyway. a DC (who resembles some childhood friends) keeps coming up from the kitchen with clear plastic bags of popcorn. Some of them are full, some have barely any in them. My microwave must be screwing up. I turn towards the couch and see a big black dog. I know that I have no scent, and start playing with him. He seems confused but content with my company.

Towards the end of the last segment I became suspicious of all the weird crap that was happening, but it wasn't in my interest to become fully lucid because I had a weird feeling that I was about to wake up at any minute. I still had some semi-lucid thoughts and actions ([I have no scent, because I'm not real] i.e, its only a short jump to realize that the whole dream wasn't real, but I was content just to play with the dog till i woke up)

The first dream segment was enlightening upon analysis. It was great to have such a huge crowd of DCs, I can still remember lots of faces that don't exist. It's also cool that they followed me; I'm starting to control my dreams without becoming lucid. The license thing was a definite point where I could have become lucid. Remembering it helps, I think. I also noticed that everyone in my dreams sits cross-legged and straight backed! This is the first consistent dream sign that I've been able to recognize. I'm also glad to see CB as a DC more, because he's an avid lucid dreamer himself, and I'm sure it won't be long until he starts helping me become lucid when I see him in the dream world. Now that I realize I see Keith or CB in almost every dream I can have them reality check me in real life to help the process.

it also seems that whenever I see a cop in a dream, he goes directly to arresting me, even though there's never a reason to. I'll have to remember to reality check whenever I drive by a cop so I don't have to put up with the boring arresting process.

September 17
Smoked and popped a Vykodin in the late afternoon
Dreams were long, vivid, interesting, and crazy. Unfortunately when I woke up my little sister had pissed off everyone in the house so I was distracted from recalling, and can only get a few fragments.

Started out in a very strange place. A temple of sorts. It was a huge stone building. There were stone walkways which went around the building, through stone doors, etc. The walkways went over a bottomless pit. Outside the terrain had very steep and muddy hills, with wooden dock-like catwalks going every-which-way. I remember playing around on the catwalks and on the hills below, just exploring my bizarre creation. Someone called to me, and I came out of the pits.

Andrew and Miko were with me for the rest of the dream. We had an important mission to do, which involved traveling cross-country. We rode on motorcycles, which gave me a hard time. I guess they were standard. I don't know anything about motorcycles so i didn't question my ineptitude and just sped on down the highway. It reminds me of several dream-roads I've been on before.

We stop at an inn. It's a wood building with a very western theme. we try some exotic drinks and discuss our mission. I vaguely remember another hotel. It was gigantic, perhaps a creation derived from a cruise ship or something. Basically it was more futuristic.

Our destination. I remember being inside a big shipping crate, the huge one you see barges carrying. We were in this crate, along with some furniture and 6 pounds of cannabis, which was in bricks on the floor, not very well hidden. Andrew assured me that his plan had no faults, we were completely safe. I insisted that he should tell me what we were going to do, but he wouldn't go into details. A crane picked up our crate and we argued while it was moving, but as it set down we stopped. It was time for action now. Miko peeked out the cracks and said the coast was clear. We got out of the crate and entered a city, which was either providence or some west coast city. Either way it was a really weird and awesome city. It was built in a way that only dream cities can be built. Alleyways, catwalks, huge stairwells, places that were exciting and strange. Our goal was to pick up another 6 pounds and then move on. It was some sort of cannabis world tour, and we'd end up rich.

returning to the temples. Andrew and miko had each come from a similar temple as mine. When we returned, however, we found that parts of their temples were filled with purple or blue smoke, which we coudln't go by. I took them back to mine, and found grey, electrified smoke was blocking several passages, as well as the main walkway. It was like some strange presence had made the temples untravellable.

I was pretty mad that I couldn't remember this dream, it was truly mystifying. What I have are just fragments of a very alien dream that must have been awesome.

Still, I notice that I often return to dream places in the same dream, but never again in future dreams. Maybe my increased dream recall is making me remember places that I had just come from, and my curiosity for them leads me back there.

In french class, sitting on the right side. Ms G gave me back ryan's piece, but obviously thought it was mine. She said she had some issue. I had apparently given it to her to clean, or repair. She asked me where I got it. I hesitated then eventually she said Wyoming, and I repeated it. I had some bizarre notion that saying "bobs" would indicate that it was a cannabis pipe. After saying wyoming several people laughed because of the delay, including cara who was next to me.

with lots of school people. catwalks through the trees. Looking at bottles of wine. The caps had wells of colored liquid. Someone was explaining to me that they contained a medicinal chemical (sara lee? laura lee?) that you needed permission to buy. Someone told me to come and I was distracted by a white haired zombie. In the trees there was a rope swing I had to use to get to a small platform then to a long one. I passed quickly to the platform, not bothering to use the straps then said "wow, I could have died. Should have been careful."

I followed the long platform to the end and looked out. There were woods far below me. I looked to the side and saw another platform with goats on it, it had wire along the side with pine branches in the wire to camoflauge it. There was a small sign nailed to one of the trees. I had the notion that this was used to fool the goats into thinking this was a storage area for humans. Cara made some comment involving the word "Service" which I took to have a sexual connotation and laughed loudly. I made eye contact with ryan collins who was also laughing at my immaturity, and I saw mr pontes laugh as well, but piggybacked the joke in a manner that made it apparent that he didn't understand. Someone told me it was time to go and i continued on the platform, but was distracted again by the zombie. It moved easily through the crowd, apparently it only had eyes for me. It's head was tilted back, hair white, and when it got close it whispered in a raspy, creepy voice, "destroy..." when it got close to me it flailed out and attacked the people around me, too.

At this point my mom called up to me and asked me if I was sleeping again.


This was a vivid and colorful dream, lots of fun to dream and later to think about. In the scene where madame handed me the piece I remember sniffing it but not smelling anything. It was a little different than usual, more crystal-y and intricately blown. The inside of the bowl was thinly resinated but the rest was sparkling clear. I remember the difference between me getting some heat and just a funny encounter was whether or not it smelled of pot, which it didn't.

in the zombie scenes I felt a strange feeling of detachment. Moments earlier, looking at the goat platform, I remember a firm 1st-person perspective. My thoughts were in my head and I saw clearly from the 1st person. When the zombie attacked it was almost as if I ceased to be the main character, and instead became an observer. I remember no feeling of fear, only a desire to get away. It was a desire to protect the main character, rather than a desire to survive. Perhaps this is how I stopped having nightmares.

with the fellows including andrew + miko. We were outside of a cave, talking to some DCs which we perceived to be "natives," trying to find a place to hide something. It was more fpr adventure's sake, really. We went into the mouth of the cave and miko mentioned an island which was a mile away from the shore at one point. I said that seemed a bit far, and I had a premonition that I would end up swimming back. We continued along the cave, over obstacles until it became more of a swamp. Actually, it was my garage. The island we were looking for required that we go across a branch sticking out of the swamp. Everything was floating on black darkness which behaved like water. I went last across the branch and began to sink a little. The platforms i touched bobbed up and down. I saw my school stuff on the island and so i was assured that our mission was completed. In the distance I saw that the fellows had gathered a bit of a crowd.

I cought up to the crowd in time. The main guest in my opinion was a girl who I was surprised to see. Everyone was carrying birthday presents. Also among the crowd, and one of the main players in the conversation, was a younger version of andrew, except it was all cut up, muddied, and speaking like a demon. I asked if anyone else noticed the demon kid, and people said they did. It took me a minute to figure out who was speaking when I heard the voice, while searching the crowd I think I saw cara. It was andrew's birthday and so most people had presents. A cop car that I had seen earlier that day drove by, except it was heavily covered in masking tape and its lights were going. I mentioned to good andrew the cop car, because i felt we needed help from the law (perhaps because of bad andrew). He said that he knew the car was going by and he didn't need to talk to the cop. Oh well.

We entered the house that we were walking to. I remember a stillframe of andrew talking from the stairs down to the rest of us, who were following him. People had begun to give him their presents. I had already given him mine, but I began to feel as though I hadn't given him enough. I commented that if you aren't careful when giving andrew a gift, he'll pay you back double.

I could have sworn I knew who the unexpected female guest was. It's like I still have it in my memory but can't get it out. From the moment I woke up I couldn't quite remember. What made it worse was that I didn't have enough time to recall this dream, I had to have dinner and a conversation with my family.

Basically this is my friends acting in a twisted dream-like variation of their normal selves. The arrival of demon andrew was very interesting, but I can see no meaning as of yet. The comment I made was a simple reflection on Andrew's generosity, or perhaps his extravagance.

This is the second time in recent memory that I've been in my garage with the right door open and the garage representing something different than what it is. Very strange.

a lot happened in my dreams last night. Unfortunately, I'd gone through some severe trauma before going to bed and so my recall is quite spotty. Last night was still one of the best nights of dreaming I can remember in a long time, but there are big gaps and a lot of lost material due to gradual wake-up and depression.

I don't know what order things happened in. In one dream I came downstairs from last night's fiasco and my parents were smoking cigarettes. I wanted to go and get mine but I remembered that keith had taken them last night in case my room got searched.

In another dream my friends and I went to Las Vegas. It was awesome, I've never had so much fun in a dream in my life. We wandered the streets all heffed up on psychoactives, looking at the signs and stuff. Then we went into a casino and partied hard.

When I walked out of the casino I realized all at once that I was dreaming. I got excited at first but succeeded in calming myself down. I wanted to fly but I was afraid the dream might fade, so I decided I should spin first. I spun around screaming "INCREASE LUCIDITY! INCREASE LUCIDITY!" Unfortunately this didn't work at all. I spun around a few times but then the colors started running together and the dream quickly faded into nothing. I think that for me, fear of a dream fading is a more formidable enemy than getting too excited.

I've been very inconsistent with this dream journal thing. I didn't even write down my last 3 lucid dreams :shakehead2:

I'll start this again with my dream from last night. The first memory came to me a few minutes after waking, and i suppose it was right in the middle of the dream. I kind of remembered in order in both directions. This dream was very very vivid but also realistic, so I didn't have much chance to go lucid.

In my house, downstairs. Talking with Andrew, he tells me why he likes gin. I say that I like the bite. I pour myself some lemonade and begin drinking it.

downstairs, hanging out with Cara. She has to go soon, so we decide to go smoke a bowl. I swallow the rest of my lemonade and up to my attic we go, closing the trap behind us. The attic is very beautifully lit. It's my attic, but with more golden light pouring in and the floors are all covered and there's much less crap around so there was plenty of room to lie down and stretch out. Cara lied down back-up on the floor, then did a long stretch, which made her look hot. I sat down next to her and she sat up. The action of smoking was more realistic than anything I've ever seen in a dream. Everything was exactly as is in real life, from the smell and taste to the whistling sound my piece makes when you suck through it. We finish up and head downstairs. I note that the smell didn't spread into the hallway so all is good. We hang out for a little while and then she leaves. I leave.

I meet up with my family somewhere. I've forgotten most of this segment but I know nothing noteworthy happened.

the previous segment makes a hazy transition into my back yard. I have to pee so I head over to a toilet which is in the middle of the yard. It's the longest and most powerful torrent of piss ever, and so it's pretty embarrassing.

I go for a bike ride with ryan and jason. Jason is reading some notes that are written on tissue paper. I see two cop cars in the distance. One moves forward then stops, then the other moves past it and stops, and in this manner they slowly move forward. I figure they're doing this so they can keep us in their line of sight (for indeed they seem to always be just within eyeshot) and so I tell Jason to put away his notes and just talk with us. We're making fun of the stupid behavior of the cops, but ryan makes a comment too loudly as we get closer to them. I shake my head. We ride past them, and the stay within eyeshot in the same manner as before. Jason takes his bike and jumps up on to the curb. This upsets the cops and they tell us to go home, and to bring cerqueira. dan wasn't there, but whatever. we head back to my house.

The peeing scene was hilarious. The presence of police is definitely a dream sign, so I should keep up my reality checks whenever i see a cruiser.

Successful WBTB. Woke up to my alarm at 4:30. Tried to stay awake but realized it wasn't happening so I put my head down and thought to myself "I'm dreaming! I'm dreaming!" I was back asleep in a matter of seconds.

I found myself in a forest with ridiculously high trees. I said to myself "What I'm seeing now is a dream." It was a bit unclear so I rubbed my hands and gained some clarity. I tried to float to the top of a tree but I was having trouble. Not to be prevented, I sprouted two giant spikes on the side of my forearms and began climbing the tree. The tree was taller than any tree in real life (and I've seen redwoods and ceqoyas) so I got bored with climbing and decided to float down.

At this point the alarm went off again because I pressed snooze instead of turning the alarm off. damn thing. Tried to re-enter the dream again, found myself in a different dream.

I found a creative solution to flying. I donned a cape, like mario, then ran really fast and jumped. I got higher and higher and higher until I decided I had plenty of altitude. I began falling. I was trying to maintain altitude but it wasn't happening. Then, suddenly, when I reached a certain altitude, I was flying no problem. Right on. I eventually touched down in front of the elementary school, and walked in.

I walked up to the lunch line and took a place at the end. Pat Clare was behind me. We talked about stuff for a while, but when I got to the end of the lunch line, there was a dead end. The line went into a dead end, how crazy.

I was driving a car with hunter s. thompson in the passenger side. He was talking, but I got distracted becasue I saw a squad of guys with guns going past dunkin' donuts. I wondered what they were up to.
