      10/27 - Blade/Underworld Crossover sans Werewolves

My second movie dream in as many nights (had a LotR dream the night before last).

[For the vampire pop culturally-challenged, "Blade" and "Underworld" are two vampire movies. In the former, Blade (played by Wesley Snipes) is a sort of half-vampire who hunts full vampires and shares many of there characteristics with two exceptions, he is unaffected by sunlight and not ageless. In the latter movie, Selene (played by Kate Beckinsdale) is a vampire protege of one of the three ancient vampire patriarchs/matriarchs who has the bad taste to fall for a werewolf - when the vampires and werewolves are at war with one another.]

The setting is some sort of gothic mansion. I am in it with Blade and Selene. Blade is chained to a window frame and during the day, occasionally catches some sunlight which (contrary to the movie) burn him. For whatever reason Selene and I cannot free him. We also know that eventually, because of the turn of the seasons eventually he will be caught in the sunlight long enough to kill him.

Selene is never clearly see, she seems to always be behind me looking over my shoulder, but is definitely there. It's unclear if I'm a vampire too - I have no feeling about it one way or another.

Blade is completely naked. There is a small bed or cot with only a matress (no bedclothes at all) near the window upon which he writhes around when the sun his hitting him. We can hear him crying out in pain and see burns and smoke rising from him where he is being burnt. No smell though.

Eventually, and I'm not sure how much time passes but it something on the order of days or weeks, he breaks free during an episode of burning. We all run downstairs and outside, into a winter night. It's very cold, snow covers some of the ground, but I think nearer the mansion there is less. There is a wrought iron gate to the grounds of the mansion.

At this point the dream ends.

10/31 - Offsite With Kirsten Dunst

I'm at a 'offsite' meeting for work, but instead of some sort of conference facility, we're in a living room, I think in a sort of cabin (so apparently a real offsite, unlike what we normally do which is meet in another building still owned by the company).

The room has a lot of dark wood in it, and the carpet is thick, almost shag, and a semi-deep red color. The people there are from work, but the only person I see clearly at this point is Kirsten Dunst - who apparenty is a coworker now, who knew? Kirsten has a cat with her and Rusalka (my dog) is with me.

We're all dressed very casually, I'm in some long flannel pants, Kirsten is wearing some sort of hankerchief on her head.

At on point I decide to lay on my stomach on the floor, as I change positions I fart audibly, and apparently it's quite smelly. To avoid acknowledging the situation I get 'preoccupied' by my laptop computer, it seems to have some spyware on it and I'm working to remove it. In the background people are exclaiming about the smell.

I'm sitting at a desk while working on the laptop, and using this tiny external monitor which is maybe 7 inches diagonally. The comments die down and I turn around and only Kirsten and a couple other people are left. She comments that that was a really nasty fart but is mostly just teasing.

There is a door with light under it in the corner of the room. I open it and suddenly Larry Miller (another actor) is there next to me and we're talking to a third person in the room the door leads to. This new rom is very light colored, whites and off whites, well lighted, and may have been a bathroom, but I can't recall for sure. Larry has a pistol but is just carrying it casually in his hand.

      At this point I awaken.

I'm in a small restaurant in NYC, eating outside. It's night, full dark. There are low walls between tables on the sidewalk. I'm sort of sitting sideways, talking to two couples (all of whom are in the mid-late 20s I'd guess) at the table next to me. I know them (only in the dream, I don't recognize them from the waking world).

So, we're chatting and then the scene changes. Now the couples are having sex. The detail is full on x-rated. We're still talking, as if this was all perfectly normal. The conversation is mostly between me and one of the women, the others are only involved peripherally. This goes on for a while and then two people walk out of the side street next to the cafe.

The first I don't remember, but was someone I know, and I think talked, or at least exchanged greetings.

The next was my boss' boss. One of the women, the one to whom I'd been talking, is startled, and says hi to him. I'm a bit startled too. He looks up and apparently everyone knows everyone, so more hi's and how-are-you's and then he continues up the street and puts a day pack/book bag on his shoulders.
