February 14, 2006. First Entry.
Last night I attempted dream recall. I used a technique that I had found on www.dreamviews.com that involved speaking to myself before sleep saying “I shall awake from my dreams and remember them completely.” It worked.
I remember two dreams. One of the dreams I had put me in a video game. It was actual a combination of two / three games. Final Fantasy XI Online, A game I had played in my dreams, and maybe a game I played with my best friend. In the game, I was playing at Melanie’s house. As soon as I started though, I was no longer at her house. I was in the game. I wanted to go back to town and “create” a town with some feature I never used before that was part of the game. When I got to town I talked to two Non-Playable-Characters expecting to get a quest from them that would allow myself to use the ability to create towns. The NPC’s were strange, they looked like monsters and turned me into a skeleton saying that I needed to wait until the full moon was over and to beware something....
I ended up being chased by fellow adventurers in one section of the town waiting for the new moon to be over and trying not to be killed.

The second dream (which I just remembered) was some kind of spy movie type thing. I dreamed about breaking into some underwater laboratory in this little submarine.... I think it was my moms or something because I remember hoping she didn’t come in and see me. I’m not sure who I was in a dream. I tend to dream as people who are different than I am. I might have been a girl from the show “Teen Titans” or something, I remember referring to that when I was thinking about the dream.
The main part of the dream was when one of my team members disabled some kind of security. I needed to run into the lab and go to the computer, open up the internet, and go to www.myspace.com, check if I had any comments, and than get out of there A.S.A.P. I guess that this was hacking into the computer somehow. I remember double clicking to see if my name was in the history (had I clicked on my name in the history my password would have automatically entered making it easier) and having to type it all out because it wasnt MY computer. I had no comments or anything and I suppose after that I left, but I don’t remember that part.
It’s weird, I keep remembering bits and pieces of the dream that I didn’t include yet... In the beginnnig of this dream I was MYSELF I think, but I may have changed perspectives during the middle of it... that happoned with my viddeo game dream too. I guess we’ll see what happens in the future.

February 16, 2006. Second Entry.
Two nights ago I attempted my first LD... Simply going to bed trying to think “I will obtain control over my dreams” or something to that effect. I failed. I think my concentration on that objective faded away when I was drifting to sleep. I barely even remembered one of my dreams, which I have forgotten now.
Last night I attempted dream recall again, but I believe I was too tired to concentrate on recalling when I went to sleep. One peculiar thing did happen. For some reason I don’t ever remember losing consciousness. I remember sitting there saying “Oh okay, I guess I’ll go to sleep now.” and realizing “Wait.... It’s 7 in the morning. I should be waking up now ” I’m not sure what happened. School time. Bye.

February 18, 2006. Third Entry.
Hurray! I think I had an LD last night!!!! Instead of using the time check with a digital watch to do a reality check in my dream I looked at the dates on quarters. Weird, huh? The dates changed when I looked away and back. After doing that, just to see what works, I plugged my nose and tried to breathe and I did! Hurray. So I felt like I was already losing lucidity and I did the spinning in circles thing, I felt a bit refreshed but I lost lucidity very quickly anyway. The rest of my night was just dreams, dreams, and more dreams.
It’s so weird, I’ve had some of these dreams over and over again. I forget if one’s from a movie or something. Last night I had one that involved being in some kind of blimp/plane/warship and flying down to where the runway was. The thing was that there were a whole bunch of people in their ships shooting at what most people thought was me. They ended up being on my side and shooting down all the people who actually wanted to shoot me. Than the leader of them shot himself in the head. I’ve had this dream before. I also remember talking to some guy in a dream about how he was angry because some of the movies he was in required him to shave his goatee and he didn’t want to. I feel I’ve heard him complain about that before.
Oh well, I’m glad I attained what I think is lucidity even if only for a minute. I’ll keep you posted!!!
