The meeting with Falcon

Wakefacts:My very first lucid dream, long before I had heard about it:

I am standing on great grass plain, feeling like a real indian, when this beautiful falcon comes flying across the sky and lands before me. The falcon turns into a old man dressed in a penguin suit, (Looking like Jack the Ripper, the way I have always guessed he looked), and walks towards me while saying:

"Good evening. I am Falcon. I am your subconsciousness."

He then teaches me the fundamental principles of lucid dreaming. And for years I thought I was the only one who could do it!

A non-lucid dream

Wakefacts: My parents live in a big house with a big garden, and often start ambitious building projects in this garden, relying on me and other members of the family for help. And, in waking life, they are boringly politically correct.

I am on visit to my parents place when I learn that my mom and dad has buried 30 corpses in the garden. They are tired of asking relatives to help them all the time, so they figured out a way to get servants working for them 24/7. Zombies! They want me to animate the corpses for them, because they are too busy at the moment. Although they do not know how create the zombies, they do know that if they send me into the wilderness for three days with a head full of acid, I will learn how to create them. I reasoned that I owed them enough to do it. But, because the zombies would work for them while they were away, they needed a zombie leader, and who would be better to fill this role than my dead grandfather? So there I was preparing to leave for the 3day trip into the wilderness, when I see my father ritually preparing the corpse of his father for the animation on a giant stoneslab. It is not until this moment I start to question the ethics of this whole project.

"Dad? Don't you think this project is a little unethical? I mean, I would never do this to you, even if I was starving."

My father stopped his preparation, (He was carving obscure symbols into my decaying grandfather with a knife), dropped his tools, and stared into the air for a few moments. He then replied:

"Fuck it. I guess you're right. We'll just hire some goddamn polish workers instead."

The dreamgirl

A lucid nightmare

Wakefacts: I have not had a nightmare for 8years, ever since I learned how to LD. If I have a scary dream I always become lucid, and take control or wake myself up. So this dream, which I had about a year ago, is my first, and hopefully last, lucid nightmare.

I am running through a forest when I realize that I am dreaming. It is night, and my level of lucidity is higher than ever. I decide I just want to go exploring. Soon, I enter a building site in the middle of the forest. The building standing there is unfinished, with gaping holes where the windows and doors are not yet inserted. A chubby guy with thick glasses, which I later named "the geek", sits on a fence nearby. He waves at me. As I approach him, I notice a candle standing on the ground in front of him.

"Are you here to teach me something?" I ask the geek, as I usually ask DC's when I am exploring.

The geek smiles at me, points to the candle and says: "With this candle we can create the perfect woman. And then you can come back here at any time to visit her."

He then explains how to perform a small ritual over the candle, holding my hand over the flame and walking around it three times in a circle, and then we can just describe what kind of woman we want. While I usually would not allow a DC to help decide a thing like this, I thought that this seemed like such a great opportunity that I did not want to risk anything. I performed the ritual and then we started "listing" how we want our "dreamgirl":

Me: "She has to be clean, for starters."
The geek: "Yes, and she must have a big, womanly figure!"
It is then I realize that we have completely different tastes in women.
Me: "No, she has to be thin, I won't give up on that!"
The geek: "All right, but I have some principles as well!"

We then entered a lenghty debate on how the dreamgirl should be. However, I was eager to meet her, so the debate went on fast. I soon lost track of what we could agree on and all our compromises. After we had finished, the geek said: "She waits for you."

I walked into the building without windows or doors. The interior of the building consisted of a series approx. 5x5m sized windowless rooms, interconnected by four doorless doorframes in each room. All the rooms were completely naked, and the walls were wooden brown. As I entered the first room, I could see a shadow coming through the open doorframe of a room further in. The shadow was that of a thin woman, seemingly in her young twenties, with a ballerina skirt. I stepped into the room, eager to meet the dreamgirl, but as I entered it, she had apparantly moved. Her shadow now came from another room, standing completely still. I started chasing her shadow further into the building. Playfully at first, but after a short while it started to get annoying. After I had chased her shadow through 7-8 rooms, I came to a room with no other dooropenings than the one I had passed through. I turned and saw her shadow standing behind me. I was tired of playing games with her, and ordered angrily: "Step forward!" And with a light ballerina jump, she suddenly stood in the doorway., and I turned cold.

She stood there, on the tip of her toes, completely still, staring at me. She was dressed up like a ballerina, and in all white. Her skin also had that same dead white tone, and she was completely hairless. No eyebrows, no nothing. She wore a broad, childish, terrible smile, and her dead cold eyes stared straight at me, wide open and without blinking.

"Do you want to touch my crotch?" She asks with a low, soft and intense voice.
"Get away from me!" I scream at her.
"Do you want to touch my crotch?" She asks again, moving towards me with small, fast steps on her toetips.

Cold dread grips me, and I try to make her disappear. Nothing happens. I try to change my enviroment, so I can get out, but nothing happens. I want to wake myself up, but realize that if I do so now, she will come back and haunt me every night. I start to back off, and she follows me, just a little faster than me, so that she is closing in on me very slowly. And she keeps asking me the same question in the same manner over and over. I manage to lead her around the room and start to back out of the building, room by room. I dare not turn my back on her and run. I remember the candle I made her with, and realize that i have to put it out in order to completely destroy her. I desperatly try to remember the right way out of the maze of rooms, and try to fight off the panic as she comes closer and closer.

Just before she reaches me, I back out of the building, turn and start to run towards the candle. The candle stands there still, but the geek is gone. Panic really gets hold of me as I to my desperation see that the dreamgirl suddenly appears between me and the candle. Not knowing what else to do, I charge forward and try to push her aside. She grabs a hold of my wrists with a iron grip of her dead, cold hands, and her chill seeps into me, making my blood freeze. She starts forcing my hands down her body, still asking "Do you want to touch my crotch?!" But now her soft voice is much more intense and full of desperation, and her smile quivers. I scream and desperatly try to pry my hands loose, and as she forces them over her skirt, I manage to free my left arm. With it, I just reach the candle and put out the flame. The dreamgirl disappeared at the same time, and right after that I woke up.

As I laid there in my bed I was stone cold. Really, physically cold, as if I had been sleeping in snow or something. I checked if the oven was on and curled up under my thick quilt. After ten minutes I still was cold, and took a warm shower. Luckily, that helped. However, I never closed my eyes more than a blink in there.

I'm sure glad I managed to put out that candle!
