      How Much Do You Write?

I tend to write a LOT, including as much detail as possible, and my entries are always around 2/3 of a page each (In Microsoft Word at default setting). At first I really didn't mind all the writing, but now it's starting to become tedious because I'm not seeing any results... yet.
So I was just wondering how much does everyone else usually write in their dream journals?

For me, it depends on the impact of the dream, itself. If it's a long, epic dream with lots of detail and a long time spent in it, I'll write until I feel I've gotten everything. If it's a short, fleeting dream that just kinda comes and goes, I won't tend to write that much about it.

      See journal for details.

I'm like Oneironaut- if I have a dream with a lot of details I will want to write everything I remember. But not every dream has a lot of details that I can remember, so I will just write the few things that I do remember.

I really enjoy going back and rereading those long ones, because those are the ones that I remember well enough to make me feel like I really lived them. I feel that writing them down makes them a concrete part of my life, not just a fleeting one.

So if you don't mind taking the time, I would write down all the details no matter how long it is. I think later you will be glad you did.

Just check out a few of our dream journals for examples.

I used to not write down all my dreams. Especially if they were stupid. You know, the ones that are so boring or obvious or fleeting, but I think now that writing down them all helps dream recall a lot. So, even though it's boring, I write them down anyway. Usually separated from my regular, cool dreams though.
