I had school, junk to buy, and homework, so I didn't have time to write in my journal. Yet another good, long, vivid dream. Yay! It sure feels good to have these! I hope I continue to have them, or better yet, a lucid dream , but all good things come to those who wait! Here's my dream...
I was driving at night, to where, I don't quite know yet. I remember feeling tired. I must have dozed off, but upon awakening, I found myself in a horrible situation. Somehow, I was in the back seat of my car, and the car was driving onward at full speed by itself. I panicked and quickly scrambled into the front. When I gained control, I realized that just about fifty feet or so ahead of me was a house. If I hadn't of stopped, I would of flew into that thing at break-neck speeds! I stopped the car to reflect on what just happened. I began telling myself what an idiot I was for letting this happen again. (Apparently, I've done this before, and I was telling my self that I had to stop doing this. I don't know if I did it in the same dream, did it in another dream, or if my mind was just making me think that I've done it before.)
I began driving again, and it started to rain. Judging from my surroundings, I was heading to my grandpa's house. I still didn't have a location yet, so I was really just driving. Not too much longer did I see flashing lights and a siren behind my car (1). Oh great! I thought. I wasn't worried that I was driving wrong, but I knew I didn't have my drivers license (2) with me, so I was afraid they'd find out. I began pulling to the curb, then while doing so, I saw a parking lot to a hotel. I thought I would be better to park there then on the side of the road. I remember waving to the cop, and trying to signal to him what I was doing. I pulled into the lot, and waited in my car. I saw in my rear view mirror them getting out. Boy, was I nervous! But to my relief, and confusement, they ran past my car, and into the hotel. Somehow, they were chasing a crook or robber, and followed him into the hotel. I remember seeing and hearing gunshots, and shadows every so often in the hotel. I got nervous. Several things popped into my head. Maybe they didn't want me after all. Maybe this was their destination to begin with. Or if not, I could get away now, before they came back. I did not decide to wait to see if the later was true. I turned on my car, and started to leave the lot. I don't know why, but the front window of my car was all fogged up, so I turned on the window heater. (I saw no significance to this little part of my dream. Oh well!)
I tuned onto the street, and began driving to my grandpa's house (I guess now, I had a location.) It wasn't long before I began to get nervous. More thoughts went into my head. What if they did wanted to pull me over. I remember remembering how they slowed down as I began to pull to the curb, meaning that they were after me, but then got sidetracked. Also, it occurred to me that they might have recorded my license plate number, meaning I couldn't get too far. I let fear get the best of me, and decided to go back to the lot and wait my fate. I turned into a street that I thought would get me back to the lot, but it didn't connect. For some daring or stupid reason, I didn't get into the right side of the road, and went onto oncoming traffic. This side was the side that the lot was on, so I thought I was saving time. I heard cars honking their horns. I saw a white car drive past me, and I began to pray it wasn't a cop. It wasn't, thank goodness! Again, I don't know why I did that. I would never do that in real life! Anyways, I got into the parking lot and waited again. A couple minutes later, a cop started walking to my car. Apparently, he hadn't noticed my brief absence. I stepped out of the car, and began to act friendly, perhaps to get on his good side, and make him forget to ask for me driver's license. I asked him if there were any casualties. He said no, but there was serous damage to the victims. I asked him why he pulled my over. He began walking toward me. I guess he noticed I was nervous, and reassured me by saying, "Don't worry, it's nothing I could of written a ticket for." He said this with a smile. He was very friendly. He walked past me to my car and closed my open trunk. I guess I had it open, and the cops pulled me over to shut it. I was relieved beyond words! I thanked him and we both had a good laugh. I remember he was a young, male cop, with short, blond spiked hair.
Edit: 9/3 (Something weird that I just noticed while reading this dream again. I had no idea that you could have thought or imagination in your dreams. I point this out because in my dream, I thought of scenarios where the cops could catch me. I had an imagination, or something equivalent to it in my dream. I didn't think I could do that. Hmm?)
I got back into my car and began to drive to my grandpa's house. I was instantly in his house. No more driving I guess. I became nervous because it was late getting there, and I was supposed to call my brother when I got there. I began walking though there kitchen and I knocked over some mints in a bottle. They fell on the floor. I began to pick them up, when I saw a deformed looking one. I knew they were supposed to be small, round and smooth, but this one was large, flat, and chalky. I don't know why, but I ate it. Curiosity I guess. I do remember a bad, medicine-like mint flavor. After I finished the mint, I went into the hall to go to my grandpa's room. In the hall, I heard the shower running, and the door was open. I was afraid he was in the shower, and I didn’t want to disturb him, so I walked slowly. Just then, I heard loud music. It was my alarm, and I woke up.
Whoo! That was an intense dream. I remember all the emotions strongly. I'm curious to know how the dream would of ended. I guess I'll never know. I'm glad the alarm woke me up then rather than earlier. I was able to resolve the conflict with the police. If I hadn't the dream would have been more dark and sad. Here are some notes about the dream.
1. Sad to say, I have been pulled over for speeding before. I tell ya, that was a scary experience. I was very nervous, and I ended up getting a ticket. I still remember the whole incident very clearly. Perhaps that's why it popped into my dream. It's not that I hate cops, it's just I hate that they have so much power. Sometimes, it's a good thing, and other times, well, they let it all go to their head.
2. I recently lost my license, and can't find it. I need to get a new one. My dad told me the fine for getting caught without one is crazy. I fear driving, because if I ever did something wrong, they could add me not having a license to any fines. It's really nerve-wracking.
