Suspicious of Dreaming
As of yet, I cannot remember a dream from recent nights. I will start my entries as soon as I have one in my Pen+Paper Dream Journal.
This journal will also monitor failed tries at dream recall so that I may examine what went wrong later and find a super effective way of remembering
01-08-07
I had it, then my dad came in to wake me up for school (which, by the way, was canceled due to snow... how ironic), turned the lights on... and subsequently killed the memory of the dream and all further attempts at dream recall... all I remember is that it was a good dream... a happy one. I must try on a weekend when I'm not going to be woken up by "the man".

No dream remembered... self-suggestion by repeating "I will remember a dream" over and over again isn't working. I need to look for a new method.

days I missed... stupid webcomic making me it's unwitting slave *bows down*
still dreamless (at least as far as memory is concerned), I'm going to try a new approach.
If you are having problems with dream recall, it really helps to wake up in the middle of the night, preferably during REM. REM happens around every 80-90 minutes with the time of REM increasing through the night. When I couldn't remember my dreams, I did the middle of the night wake up and right away recorded them in my journal. It works really well because I went from no dreams a night to 2-3 most nights.

for a long time, no dream remembered, so I'll move on to today.
01-19-07
This dream is a saga... It had a long story. Almost like a fucking video game. With lots of character switches. First thing I remember was being Zeke from Ctrl+Alt+Del looking for an evil Zeke and eventually finding a way to blow him up and before he did, shoving him into molten metal which hardened and then he blew up. Next thing I know, another character switch. I don't know what I am, but I wind up showing off an ability to scare off whales with two words (forgot what the words were... they may have held importance) but then, dived into the water at a dolphin's request and got four masks that allowed breathing underwater. Then, i wind up in some sort of side scroller jumping from pedestal to pedestal, and eventaully jumping from floating representation of a planet to the next floating representation... I then jump from Neptune to a floating arena... Three stars, a huge mass (may have been the moon) a shredder at the far right, and overlooking it all, a platform. there were four enemies, with one rather useless enemy on the moon. I jump to the moon and waste him... then breakdance (as a 2d piece of paper....) and it's revealed that I'm a friggin cartoon character. (with the character's nemesis on the platform overlooking it all) I waste the other three enemies, with one destroying a star that I was standing on later. Then, there was a small dialogue between me and the nemesis (where the hell did the masks go by this point anyway?) and the nemesis puts everything that the character held dear into the shredder. I jump up to the platform and give the nemesis a royal beating... and then I woke up...
Not quite. FA. I was still the cartoon character... And was buff... that apparently shocked me into yet another FA, but this time I was myself... I went down to the computer to record this dream... but had trouble finding this site (hehe... dream self not too smart) Two websites about cartoons (one of them having a thread concerning a dream so I check it out) it had some pictures (text was random nonsense.... should have done a RC...) the pictures were of my mom and dad... in some place requiring bundling up. they were goofing off. mom behind dad, with hair coming over dad's shoulders to look like he had a red beard. then my dad comes in the room inexplicably and says something about diapers (WTF?). I then woke up for real.
