Hey guys... just starting to really get into all this dreaming lark as ive been able to start remembering my dreams! So I thought id start a journal off...

      Here goes... 1st one:

      20th March 2007

I cant remember that much, but this is what i wrote when I woke up:

I saw a big blue and yellow plane take off with my old (about 6 years ago) best mate and someone else. It had a glass dome as a roof and a glass floor. It took off to see something... no idea what! Anyway... Then, me and a girl (no idea who&#33 took off in an Airbus A380 circled the plane with a glass roof, and landed again. When we landed, we got out, started up a camping gas hob, had a cuppa coffee. While we were doing this, someone was painting a yellow square around where the front wheel of the A380 was on the ground. After that, we took off again, circled the glass plane, landed and repeated what we did again and again...

Now that was weird... What relevance does that have? NOUT! lol

I'm sure this dream wasnt lucid, nor was it all that vivid... But its a breakthrough for me as I actually remembered the dream both when I woke up and jotted it down and all the way through the day!

I hope to have many more and post them all in here!

      Cheers for reading...

Welcome Chip, and congrats on starting your journal. It does wonders for the dream recall, because your mind knows an empty journal is no fun at all. Good luck!

      Cheers man...

Well... i didnt remember a dream the night after that recall...

BUT! dont fear... i did remember one/two last night! again... quite weird...

      Anyway...

The first one entailed me working in a theatre (Im a techy at heart... working in theatres and clubs doing lighting and sound etc). I was by the fly area (where all the ropes are which fly in/out scenery/lights etc) wearing a hat and a dark green overcoat... thats about all i can remember...

The second one involved me running from my house back home around the corner. I was wearing the same hat and overcoat as in the previous dream. I then saw an alsation dog running in the opposite direction quite fast. This made me look around where I saw another alsation behind me running towards me. I ignored it and carried on running. When i got outside my ex girlfriends new boyfriends house (my old old best m8) the alsation pounced on me and grabbed my ankle. Then i woke up!

      Why are dreams weird?

Would it work if i asked the Alsations if i was dreaming? I'm assuming that would be a gd reality check if they replied! lol!

Right.... Well... Im back at uni now and have a little spare time.

Since ive been here ive had very few dreams i can remember, most of which I pretty much forget within a few seconds, but one which I managed to write down was:

I was in RED (Uni student union bar where I work as a techy) naked in front of a mockup DJ booth infront of the glass windows, I remember my ass cheeks being pressed against the glass and thats about it!

Now... wtf was that all about! lol

I'm gonna really start trying to remember dreams from here on out... lets see what happens

      Hmm... Last few days... NOTHING!

Well... I Remeber a garden center? lol!

      MUST REMEMBER MY DREAMS!!

The annoying thing is... I woke up early this morning, and kinda drifted in and out of sleep. About half hour later, I though to myself... Hangon, im drifing in and out... I can remember what i was dreaming (Which I've now forgotten! lol) So why not try to remember to RC etc... At which point I couldnt get back to sleep! Typical!

      OK... weird again...

Two nights ago all I remember was a hairdryer...

Last night I can remember a little more...

We all choose a theme, I selected Wild Wild West (Was WWWest theme night at the club I work at last evening) We then started running around the coridors of my old high school from 2-4 years ago. I, inkeeping with the wild west theme had an array of wagons with and beside me, all with guns. All I really remember after that is shooting! lol

Hmm... Getting there slowly I feel, anyway! Must run, need some sleep, going kayaking tomorrow! yey!

Ok... Starting to remember a little more each time now.

Last night I had a dream where the boat I picked up tday (My new pride and joy ) Was really long and pointy! (My kayaks supposed to be short and stumpy, so that was weird...

I wrote down something about coffee... no idea what that was about!

And someone had put mud (Symonds yat where i went kayaking on sunday was VERY muddy in the car park) all over my favourite big bright red hoodie!

      Hmm... MUST REMEMBER MORE!!!

      Thnks for reading...

Don't you hate it when you can't make sense of your dream notes? It's hard to force yourself to write down detail when you've just woken up, especially if you want to go back to sleep.

Yey! I remembered something last night...

      Well... something...

I got an album called 'Oasis B-Sides' the other day. All I remember is seeing a green CD with 'Oasis B-sides' writen in yellow with a box around it...

All else I remember is a pair of jeans I was wearing. For some reason they were unraveling, and then they turned into a mini skirt and kept unravelling...

Hmm... I have no idea what to do about my dream recall

it will come... are you trying too hard to remember them, maybe? sometimes when i try too hard to remember dreams, it prevents me from actually remembering.

Hmm... no idea to be honest!!

The last few days i've just not bothered with trying to reinforce the fact that 'tnite i will remember my dreams and write them down on awakening' and ive rememberd nothing But then again, ive been very busy and very tired and not really getting enough sleep for what ive been doing!

Ho hum, i just guess ill keep on trying!

      Thanks!

OK.... Good and bad news, 1stly I rememberd some dreams! (yey!) but 2ndly I can only remember what I wrote down of them this morning. I know that earlier I remembered the whole things, but now all i can vagually picture are these words.

      Elephant
      Bex's Car
      Chris late
      Curse
      Jockstrap

If thats gotta make any sence i dont think i wana remember it! lol!

Ill try again tnite of course

Argh! Last night again... I slept so well!

But as I was falling asleep, i suddenly had this overwelming urge to shift because i felt uncomfortable, now, as I understand it, thats purely my body trying to test my mind to see if its awake... This time ill try harder to ignore it! See what happens!

      Wish me luck!

I've heard that as well. I'd be interested to see how you make out with that in the future.

      Ooohhh... Trippy!

Ok... last night was a weird one...

I attempted to keep my mind awake as my body fell asleep by listening to the 'Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy'. I think it worked... I felt my body go asleep (after a bit of aggro when my body wanted to move and I didnt) And i felt my legs melt away. At that point I felt my eyes open slightly and I saw some really trippy things! A kinda swirly pulsating thing... a large rotating ring with lots of smaller rings passing through this large ring at perpendicular to it. These were also rotating, but offcenter. It reminded me of a 3D benchmark test from a few years ago. At that point I started getting a bit excited. I then realised I couldnt hear Hitchhikers any more... Then I woke up, shifted over and fell asleep... (no DR)

Meh... Dunno what that was all about, but was all very trippy

      Thanks for reading!

Now you're making it sound easy. I'm going to have to try ignoring my body distractions tonight.

You likely entered the hypnogogic state there. You probably found that you could think normally like when you're awake.

Next time that happens, and you see stuff moving, try to feel your arms or legs moving along in rhythm with what you see. Once that starts to feel comfortable, increase the movement until you can feel it in your whole body, and then you should be fully lucid.
