      Tom's Dream Journal

Just a few notes before I get started:

I'm not very experienced at recalling dreams so before I move onto to the more advanced stuff like lucid dreaming, I want to be able to improve on that aspect.

I'll be updating weekly either on Sundays or Mondays depending on which day is best for me to take a seat and type up what I've written down.

(by the way, dates are written in DD/MM/YY format)

Also any constructive criticism of how I'm writing my journals would be welcome, so let me know if it sounds as if I'm being confusing.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------

And the Template I'll be using...

<insert Dream 2 and so on if there were more dreams on that date>

      Dream Signs:
      1. X
      2. Y
      3. Z

Repeat this part ^ for each consecutive day.

      End of week conclusion:

      Dream #1
The most prominent thing I can remember is helping an Old neglected lady who was lying in a bed in the corner of one of the classrooms at my secondary school. She thanked me and we ended up having a conversation about dogs. I can't remember what was said but I then leave her room and I find myself in the corridor outside where my dog (a small golden terrier) is waiting for me.

I'd just like to point out that almost all of my dreams concerning school have taken place around the classrooms where English is taught. I'm not sure why but my dreams are usually confined to that area or just outside that area.

The last thing I remember is her following me around the area. After that, what I can remember of this first dream ends.

      Dream #2
I remember having my hair cut in a glass room suspended in the air...everything goes hazy for a while and then I find myself looking at a house which has an overgrown front garden. It didn't look like a very nice house but I went in and had a shower and for some reason felt vulnerable.

      Dream #3
This time I was in my primary school in the canteen area where I met with some of my old friends. My best friend showed me the front page of the news paper which said that "a well-to-do woman moves from countryside cottage to London estate block."

I didn't re-read the headline hence why I never realised I was dreaming.

      Dream #1
Note: This dream was completely silent and it was the only dream I had that night
The dream seems to be set at a period of my life around 3 to 4 years ago when I was particularly happy.
However, the dream itself does have some nightmarish elements.

The whole thing was centred around me investigating the case of pentagrams and unpleasant forces causing unrest in my street (its very small, only about 18 houses).

The reason I remember events being set around that time is because the people living in the street in my dream who I talked to had all left around 3-4 years ago.

My invesitgation (which is actually rather vague) leads me to my secondary where I find myself in another English classroom. I suddenly realise the two perpetrators are in the same room. They're business people with suits and suitcases. One was a tall man the other a short woman. The both give chase and they catch in the classroom next door which they've locked.

Things go hazy until I realise I'm in my old friends house. I assume I had already escaped from the classroom somehow.
I seek out my old friend's mum who was a white witch and she manages to fend the evil business people off and they leave the premises of the house. Almost as if she banished the nightmare element of my dream.

      After Awaking

I then awoke with a feeling of happiness knowing I was supported by another person - by my friend and his mum - support from a true friend is something I've been missing from my life since everyone either moved away or drifted out of my life from around 4 years ago onwards.

I'd say on the most part, most of my relationships with other people have since been platonic (work-orientated) or superficial.

Anyway, I hope I haven't gone off on too much of a tangent with this one.

      Dream #1
Lodging with some friends on holiday in a rural area. I remember having an important conversation but I can't remember anything...I barely remembered this dream.

      Dream #1
I was a strong swimmer getting ready for a swimming competition, I was about to compete against one of my friends. I also vaguely remember a badminton court - it could be that the dream took place in a sports complex.

      Dream #2
I was walking through a cottage garden and I reached the front door - I felt a general sense of peace there.

      End of week conclusion:
3 dreams of varying vagueness this week...not much to exactly write about but I guess that's part of the whole process of dream recall - sometimes there won't be much to write about but you just put it all down anyway.
