I think this dream takes place inside a computer game of some sort. The first thing I remember from it is that I'm in this big mansion-y house, and I have to complete different tasks. I know I did quite a lot of them, but the only one I remember is that I was supposed to find teddy bears that this one guy could sell in his store (for some reason, the store was inside the dining room of the house). And there are a bunch of teddy bears lying on the ground. So I figure 'okay, I can use those.' and start putting them into the shelves. But then the guy says that those bears don't count, I have to go out and buy fabric to make bears with.
So I walk out of the house, and it's at the top of this big hill along with a bunch of smaller houses. There's a path leading from the house to a town at the bottom of the hill, and I start walking down towards the town. I notice that the town is sort of connecting other paths leading to other hills. One of them has a big temple on it, but I'll get back to that. Now, I'm walking down the path, and I run into a guy. He looks kind of shabby, and my first impulse is that he's a street beggar type like in Oliver Twist. We start talking, and I explain to him my quest for finding fabric to make teddy bears. He says he knows of a little fabric store in the town, and agrees to show me where it is. We run there, still talking, and I think he says his name is Per.
When we reach the store, I realize I don't have that much money. It's a tiny place, crowded and badly organized, and there's fabrics hanging on racks all over the place. I find the shop owner (I think she's an old fat lady with big glasses, but I don't quite remember. I do remember that she was really strict) and beg her to let me buy some fabric for the little money I have. After a lot of heavy persuasion, she lets me buy a roll of plain white stuff. I kind of wonder if that will make any good teddy bears, but I don't dare complain.
So I and Per decide to go back to the house. He tells me that he lives right next to the mansion, in a smaller house with laundry hanging out front. I leave him and go inside the place, into the dining room, and over to the machine next to the teddy bear store. Then, I insert the fabric into the machine and push a button. But I must have pushed the wrong button, because what comes out isn't lots of teddy bears, but one teddy bear and a load of stuffed underwear! (Like... an underwear-shaped teddy bear, pretty much) I freak out, and start trying to take apart the underwear to put it in the machine again and make new teddy bears. But I fail, and, freaking out, I run out of the mansion and over to Per's place to find him. I think I run into his mother and she calls him out of the house, and then I explain to him what happened.
I don't quite remember what happened after this, but we go back into the town and up the path to the big temple, and suddenly we're inside. There, we meet a girl. I can't remember her name, but I think it began with "Vi". Violet or Viola or Vivian or something... anyway, she joins us on our quest to... I don't know. I don't remember why we're in the temple in the first place. But anyway, I remember the temple being kind of like a big waiting hall with... two gates and a tunnel inside it. There's a sign in the middle of the room. An arrow pointing towards the tunnel says "hell" and another arrow pointing towards one of the gates says "heaven", and I don't remember what the third arrow said. We go in through the third gate, though, and it leads to a place which is very much like my father's house. Actually, I think it's pretty much identical. It gets hazy again at this point, but for some reason this green scary guy appears and attacks us. We try to fight him off, and I find this book that describes how to summon a kind of saintly protector dude. We do the ritual (I think it was just saying a few words), and another huge green guy appears from the follows. We yell "get the green guy!" to him and he obeys, and I remember thinking it was funny that we were telling a green guy to run after "the green guy." But the bad guy was a deeper green, I think. Anyway, the nice green guy runs after the bad green guy into the water, and they both disappear. We stand around anxiously for a while, and then we summon another god-like guy. This one is grey, kind of like rock. (Oh, by the way, they're all gigantic). Now, the bad green giant appears from the ocean again, and the grey giant uses some impressive magic to make him evaporate. We all cheer, and then go to talk to the grey giant. He says a lot of wise things, I think. Advice and suchlike. I can't properly remember what he said. I do remember Per and "Vi" repeating their names many times, though, both to me and to the giant, as if they're afraid I'll forget them. Then Per suddenly says "Iris, you have to get back!" and I realize that he's right! I have to get back right away! (I have no idea why it was so urgent, but it felt really important in the dream...) I hug "Vi" and Per goodbye, and the grey giant says something like "You'll never see each other again." This makes us all sad, but I accept it, and then I run off, hurrying to get back to the mansion. On the way back, the nice green giant suddenly appears from the forest again, but I run past him, not wanting to stop and be delayed by talking to him. I run as fast as I can out through the gate and the temple (feeling really uneasy as I pass the "hell" tunnel), down the path, through the town, up the other path, and I've just made it through the door to the mansion when I wake up.
D R E A M - S I G N S
- The teddy bear task is another dream where I'm failing at doing something...
N O T E S
- I remember "Vi" had black hair and a kind of triangle-shaped face.
- I'm really proud of myself for remembering so much from that dream! I hardly even looked at my notes while typing it up!
