The Raven's Nest

Well, since I've joined the forum and made the decision to learn more about myself though my dreams, I decided I should go ahead and start my dream journal. I remember a bit about last nights dream, though the details have now become a bit fuzzy (I'll start tomorrow writing them down as soon as I wake up).

Last night was another tornado dream. We were in our neighbor's apartment and I looked out her living room windows (she has one whole wall that is nothing but huge windows) and saw aprox 20 tornadoes on the horizon. These were the thin white tornadoes as opposed to the huge black tornadoes that I also sometimes dream about. I remember thinking that we shouldn't have tornadoes here in the mountains and our apartments weren't set up to take shelter from a tornado (we have no inside, windowless rooms or closets). So I was trying to gather the cats up and make them stay in the inner hall but we all know that you can't heard cats so it wasn't working and I was getting really frightened that one would be hurt by a breaking window or something. That was pretty much it, pretty tame for my tornado dreams overall.

A side note: I grew up living in tornado alley so I'm very familiar with tornado protocol lol. We moved here to the mountains a year and a half ago and I was so happy to learn that they didn't have tornadoes here and thought that maybe the dreams would stop. However, not only did the dreams not stop, a few months ago we actually had a tornado come through our area. Some weird weather anomaly apparently. Either that or they really are out to get me lol.

Last night I dreamed that my husband (Robert) and I were at a party and my mom and step dad had a joint that they were about to go smoke. So we went with them into a bedroom to smoke it but like 50 other people also came along. They told everyone that there were too many people for one joint so they weren't going to smoke it after all. When I left the room I realized that Robert wasn't with me and I didn't see my mom or step dad anywhere either. Since they were the only people I knew at the party I started to feel a bit anxious. Then I ran into my brother and his friends who suddenly showed up and they told me that all three had left in the car together to go and smoke the joint alone somewhere. I was really hurt that they just left me there. Since I couldn't find a working phone to call them I decided to just wander around the party. I came upon a circle of women on the lawn smoking a joint and asked if I could join them. They were all very friendly and welcomed me into the circle. After a while the woman standing next to me told me that she thought I was beautiful and asked if she could kiss me. I considered my husband and figured that he wouldn't have a problem with me kissing another woman as long as it didn't go beyond that. She took my hand and lead me into the house. Then, suddenly the dream changed and I was maid of honor for a woman I didn't even know who was going to marry Robert. She had asked me to check on all of the jewelry and make sure it was all working properly. I was taking each piece and putting it against my skin to make sure it changed colors (kind of like a mood ring). And everyone around me was assuring me that there were lots of other guys out there and so it was okay that my husband was marrying someone else. I woke up in the middle of checking the jewelry.

This may have been one of my abandonment dreams. I've had abandonment issues ever since I was left at a carnival when I was 8 while on a school trip. The bus left at 10pm and I was a bit late getting back so they left without me.
