      Zek's Zzz's

I decided to start my dream journal with a dream I had a couple of nights ago. Its a recurring dream that I have pretty often.

I am dreaming about any old thing and I wake up and need a drink or the toilet. I get out of bed, walk across the bedroom and flick on the bedroom light when I get to the switch. The light comes on for a split second then goes out as though the bulb as blown. I immediately think 'oh no, not this again' then I wake up with my heart banging, thinking 'gawd I hate that dream' I get out of bed, walk across the bedroom and flick the light switch, again the light comes on then goes out and I think 'here we go again' I then walk across the landing and flick on the landing light and this one lights then goes out. I think 'aww this does my head in' and again I wake up (this time for real)

The dream is one of those slow motion ones where you feel like you are walking through syrup and for some reason is very very scary

Reality Check time! That first switch flip should have made you lucid!

Hey - GREAT name for a Dream Journal. That's what brought me in here.

Well I had quite a few dreams last night, but the phone rang at stupid o'clock this morning and woke me up partway through my last dream. Because of this I forgot the previous dreams I had had though I know one was verging on nightmare and one was a brilliant dream

The dream I remember is pretty run of the mill but I thought even though it was boring and I figured most of it out I would still add it on here.....

I was in a room I've never seen before and noticed I was wearing clothes that weren't my style and didnt suit me. I changed my clothes (by thinking about it not physically changing them) until I had on an outfit I liked. I was much younger in the dream than I am in real life, maybe early 20's. I noticed a male figure that I seemed to know in my dream but not in real life. He was about the same age. He told me he had found a ring and thought it was mine. I looked and the ring was in fact mine. I went to try it on and it was way too small. This annoyed me because I knew it had fit previously. I put both my hands on a table palm down and shrunk my hands until they were the size of maybe a 7 year olds hands and retried the ring and it fit.

For a while me and the lad sat smoking weed and all the time I was distracted as I was thinking of one of my previous dreams (I was thinking that I had to remember it to tell about it on here cos it was so good lol) He mentioned I was distracted and I explained why. At this point he became annoyed with me and told me meanly that my fringe was way too long. I got some big scissors to cut my fringe and then realised I was going to make a mess of it so I got some nail scissors and cut it until it was a decent length. He then got mean again and began laughing at my hair. He said I was too distracted to have fun and that he was leaving and began to put his weed in a tin he had with him. He then accused me of stealing his weed even though I hadnt. He demanded I open my tin and show him my weed which I did and on opening my tin I realised that I did have his weed. I had put it in my tin completely by accident. Both pieces of weed were the exact same shape only his was slightly bigger.

It was at this point that the phone rang and woke me up

I sussed out the dream pretty easily..... last week I bought a new ring and because I only have little hands the ring was too big and had to be resized. I just got it back the other day.

I had also been shopping on the monday and was frustrated as none of the clothes I saw were what I would normally wear so I ended up just buying a couple of tshirts.

I do smoke weed in real life and only last night realised I didnt have much left and thought about getting some more today or tomorrow.

A couple of weeks ago I did cut my fringe while I was drunk It ended up all lengths and I was pretty embarassed that I had cut it myself.

It annoyed me that the phone rang and made me forget the other dreams so I have now decided to switch off my mobile before I go to bed

when i was a child i used this dream event to get the power to run very fast in the dreamstate. i kept going back to the same dream over and over and relaxed and didnt push hard against the resistance. i found that i could go faster each time. eventually i could run at incredable speed. you have the opertunity to develop the high speed runing power. i hope this helps. good luck!

Hi hillybillyhick and big thanks for that I can do all sorts of stuff in my dreams from floating and sometimes flying to invisibility and other stuff but I have never ever been able to run fast in them at all. I am definately going to give that a try. If I can achieve it then it may turn a pretty scary dream into a brilliant one Also it may help in the dreams I have where people are chasing me. These are the same 'running through syrup' type dreams and although the people have never ever caught me the fear that they will is always there

awww I have a cold and have been waking up continually for the last 3 nights. Although I know I have dreamed I havent been able to remember a single bit of any dream I have had

I always feel like I havent slept properly if I cant remember dreaming (dunno if that is weird or not lol) so added to the fact that I have really had poor sleep and not remembered any dreams I think I may well win the Miss Grumpy Knickers award at work today

      oh woe is me

hmm strange dream from last night

I dreamed I was in our town in my aunties house (though the town and house were nothing like they are in real life) There had been some sort of invasion by aliens and the attack had just stopped and me and my teenage son were scrabbling round my aunties house packing bags with all sorts of 'survival equipment' Thing is I was packing all sorts of stupid stuff like pens and cake and a really stupid pink and blue shell suit tracksuit (something I have never worn in my life) We knew we didnt have much time left before the next attack and we needed to get to the town where my husband was (in real life the town is about 20 miles away) We had no transport and knew we would have to walk to get there, also we didnt have our mobiles on us and had no way of knowing whereabouts in the town my husband was.

We finished packing and ran out of the door into total chaos. Buildings were demolished and burning, people were either running round with big weapons looting and killing other people or stumbling round in a daze crying and looking for their loved ones, or lying injured or dying everywhere.

We were running through the streets and it seemed everything was against us getting out of the town....we were being attacked and having to fight back (though all the fights lasted a split second) there were lots of people trying to drag us away to help them, people who were injured were crying out for us to stop and see to them (again when we stopped to help it took a split second and we were on our way again) Then I heard a voice crying out for help and looked down and there was a man on the floor, he had one arm and no body from the waist down (this was a disability not an injury) He was shouting out for a hug so I dropped everything and picked him up and gave him a huge hug and even though he was really heavy I threw him over my back, picked up the bags and carried on trying to get out of town with my son (a second or two later the man had disappeared from my back but I didnt question it at all)

The next second we were in the town where my husband was and outside the town hall (not at all like it is in real life) There were massive fellas who said they were guarding the town hall and said we would find my husband inside on the second floor. My joy at knowing he was there was overwhelming. At this point my son said we had to go back to our town as we had left behind his friend and she could be hurt or anything. I felt a huge dilemma..should we go to my husband or go back and find his friend. I dropped all the bags and started back to our town to find his friend with him (even though I really really didnt want to) and we went back in the direction of our town just has the aliens started their second attack.

At that point I woke up
