      Journeys into the Realm

Well Just thought I'd start a dream journal..I need to work on recall a bit.
      Key:
      Lucid
      Semi-Lucid
      Fading
      Normal Dream
      Side note

      Night of 11/1/07
      "Secret Place"

I found myself in a rather large building, similar layout to a school but it seemed more of a warehouse. A large party was going on, many random people from school and people I've never seen before were there. The people I remember clearest are three of my friends and my sister . I begin this dream walking down a hallway with two friends and my sister, we are talking about various things (No idea what.) when we reach a corner, we turn and we see another of my friends, she is being told something by a group of people (I suspect the group was making fun of her or telling her bad news, more likely the former) halfway through their speaking she turns and quickly walks away, seemingly crying or on the verge of it. We split up into two groups 1 friend and my sister and me and my other friend to try and find her, as the building was rather maze-like. When we eventually meet back up with no success I say I will continue, the friend who was with me agrees and says he has an idea where she is, the other friend says "She might not want him to know about that place." The friend with me replies "Well we don't have much else to try." The other agrees. (My sister and this friend disappear from the dream) My remaining friend asks me to follow him, I do and I'm lead to a open door, beyond which is a metal staircase (The place looks like a maintenance area.) The staircase goes down a bit then there is a broken spot, my friend is somehow on the other side already, I ask him to wait and he turns around looking impatiently for a moment then continues, I finally just jump and run after my friend. I find him waiting near a large pipe of sorts, the opening about 2/3 of a meter in diameter. He motions for me to follow after saying, "This leads to a secret place where she likes to think on things." and we enter the pipe, it slants up and then suddenly down at one point. I am somehow suddenly back where the dream started but no one is around, I wander around looking for the maintenance area and eventually find it (Kind of a black out and you're there thing.) I rush down the stairs and head back into the pipe again, I get past the downward slant and then wake up.

Felt a very strong sense of urgency to finish this dream. Any advice on how would be appreciated.

      A Hall of Doors

A hallway full of doors, and a few windows. I was walking down the hall, it felt like I was looking for something. Ahead of me I saw a door on my left side suddenly start shaking as if something was trying to escape, I became frightened and hurried along down the hall. Another door caught my eye, I slowed and looked inside, I saw my friends and I walking down a path in the woods, talking about things, I could not understand the words but for some reason I felt a mix of sadness, happiness, fear, and relief. I looked away and continued onward, something in my mind was telling me there was something I was here to do. The wooden floor suddenly shifted into stone about halfway down the hall, and when I looked behind there was no more hallway but just an opening into blackness. It interested me so I turned and looked. Below I saw three landscapes separated by the abyss. One was desolate, mainly desert with some small areas of grass plains, There were a few structures I'm guessing about 15th century Europe. The second was pure nature, no evidence of people, A land covered with rivers, crystal blue lakes, forests, and waterfalls. The third was strange, it kept shifting from nature, to present age, to desolate wasteland, and to many other things as well. I Broke away from the sight a moment later and continued on. A window to my right caught my eye, It was a beautiful allbeit small window, stained-glass with a pattern of blues and emerald green, But that was not what interested me, behind it was the scene of me and my friends in the forest, It seemed to be earlier in the walk than the previous door, this time I could only feel happiness and a 'laughter' as we talked, no sadness or fear or relief. I looked away and continued onward. I felt I was reaching my destination. I saw a door that was made of light grey crystal, I knew this was what I was looking for and opened it. I saw the scene from my previous dream, A large metal pipe, and my friend beckoning me to follow, As I approached He frowned. "What's wrong?" I asked. He looked disappointed as he responded, "You're not going to make it..." I felt a sudden feeling of failure. I awoke with this feeling a moment later.

This dream has made me rather angry at myself for waking up before I could continue the dream....I still feel that sense of urgency to continue that dream.

Just scrambled images mainly, with one Lucid part.

The first dream I cannot remember, the second I was in some strange building, I could not really see how big it was but something told me it was huge. I start walking along and suddenly the temperature drops by about 50 degrees F. The ground also begins to shake violently, and I stumble to the ground, for a moment I cannot see then feel grass beneath me and wind. The temperature returns to about 68 degrees F, it is somewhat cloudy in the sky. The winds are rather harsh, not with cold but just from severe force. It is difficult for me to stand. A thought comes to me,
Idiot there are no grasslands or hills near here...
"Wait that means I'm dreaming..." I say aloud. I then, with my newfound control of the place, cause the wind to slow to a gentle breeze. After that it's off to flying...this ends in failure. I jump about 20 meters straight up and fall back down, no actual flying unfortunately. I became annoyed with this and decided "Let's build a flying machine. (I lost lucidity here.) The machine wound up with a single seat cockpit and seemed like it was based off of a bird or bat. The wings were designed to flap and it somehow got it's own launch ramp/catapult. I did something that pulled back the catapult with the machine, after that was set I climbed in and was about to pull a launch lever when the dream switched.

I'm in school and for some reason everyone is happy that for two classes everyone gets to wear sandals or 'flip-flops'.

That's the end. Well the lucid is a good sign, haven't had a lucid for a long time.

I don't see what made that dream Semi Lucid. You had good control, even if it didn't last long.

I like how you decided to build a flying machine. A round about way of flying, but lots of potential there. The very thought of a dream built flying machine is fantastic!

Hmmm, changed the semi lucid color for clarity, also added detail onto the machine that I just remembered. The small semi-lucid part was just that I could only command what I thought, otherwise I had no control.

A Storm in the Realm of Nature

I begin this dream standing upon a large plain covered with long-bladed green grass and scattered trees. There were many hills and one deep valley off to my left. The air smelt fresher or cleaner than anything, as if untouched by pollution. The deep blue sky was covered with green stars and a few scattered clouds and the sun was just beginning to set. A light breeze swept across the plain as I walked aimlessly. I looked towards the valley, I could not really see anything within it, the trees surrounding it blocked my view, but I could hear the sound of a stream or river (even though I was about half a mile away.) I closed my eyes to listen to everything around me, besides the streams, rustling of trees, and wind, there was nothing. No birds, insects, or anything really. When I opened my eyes a large hill, almost a mountain had appeared in front of me. I do not remember how but I wound up on top. The wind was fierce atop the mountain though I was shielded by three very large trees. I looked out over an edge and was awestruck, grass and trees, flowers in some areas, stretched away until they became one with the sky. An enormous crystal blue lake was to my right, numerous rivers and streams spread out from it. "I know this place." I said to myself. I sat down to admire the view and must have fallen asleep within the dream for when I opened my eyes the cloud was a dark gray and it was beginning to rain. I stood up and walked around a bit, the rain felt refreshing. I walked away from the trees, they were blocking much of the rain, and stood right on the edge of a sheer drop. I caught myself as I was nearly blown to the ground by a strong gust of wind, I remained near the edge as the winds picked up strength and whipped the rain and leaves past me. Thunder boomed as lighting played across the clouds, the ground shook as a bolt of purple lightning shot across the sky, scattering the clouds and revealing the sky. The sky was now black and covered with green and purple stars. The lightning seemed to have done more than just scatter the clouds, a large purple crack split the sky. As I watched the sky suddenly pulled apart with an indescribable sound, beyond the sky was nothing, an abyss. I stared out and saw what looked like a planet that was constantly shifting. Above that was a doorway of sorts, but that was not what was interesting, for looking down upon me was none other than myself. I closed my eyes and raised my arms, feeling wind pick me up, propelling me higher and higher into the air. The wind gave one last shove and I was ascending quickly, suddenly there was nothing. No sounds, no wind, no rain, I opened my eyes and found myself drifting in the abyss. Above was a now empty doorway, I turned and saw below me three worlds, the shifting world, a desolate wasteland, and a world of nature, the place I had come from. As I floated, observing these places something came flying from the desolate world. As it approached a saw it was a person covered by an interesting cloak, it's face covered by an intricate bone mask. The person stopped before me and knelt, just as I was about to ask it a question I woke.

This was by far the longest and best dream I've had in a long time, I'm interested in seeing if I can ask the masked person questions at some point.. excellent idea for a lucid dream activity. Although I am annoyed, I wish I could finish one dream before having another that raises more questions... Hmmm I shall name that place the World of nature...or to fit with the title of this journal, The Realm of Nature.

This dream is kind of scattered... Random images of a a seemingly role-playing-game like Oblivion, except it was mixed with Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas.....(I wonder if I've been playing games too much... Anyway, I couldn't remember my dreams for last night and the night before very well. I should concentrate a bit on recall, after all having a lucid dream wouldn't be too fun if I forget it before I realize it even happened.)

I apologize for the gap in entries, have been rather busy recently.

      Night of 11/12/07

      Fortification

I am in a large house, almost a mansion, running towards the front carrying an armful of thick wooden boards. Somehow I know this is my house (Though in real life my house is quite the opposite.) I reach the front of the house and rush over to a group of people nailing boards onto the windows, the door is open and outside there is another group piling up sandbags just beyond the porch. A woman runs up to me and ordered me to place the boards down by a wall, she had medium length black hair and was wearing a military uniform with rather a rather strange insignia on it. I threw down the boards and ran outside to help with the sandbag barricade. One of my friends was ordering people around, telling them to make sure all the gaps were covered before "They" came. I tried to ask him something but my voice was lost in the shouting of orders and sound of hammers and all. Most others seemed able to talk through shouting but my shouts were very quiet. I went to work stacking up sandbags as my friend and two others continued shouting out orders above all other sounds. I finished up one area and moved back inside, the black-haired woman yelled at me to go to the armory and bring up some weapons.I ran off and grabbed a large amount of guns and other random weapons, ( It was kind of funny, i just keep putting them in my seemingly never ending pocket...) As I got back I emptied out all the weapons by handing them to others, when I tried to give away an oddly shaped sword words come up at the top of my vision saying "You cannot remove quest items from your inventory." It came to me then..
"The hell? I'm not playing Oblivion..."
Just as I realized I was dreaming I heard a shout of warning. I ran outside and saw a horde of zombies...it was so funny I laughed in the dream. The zombies were all wearing clown outfits and had lego heads. As the others opened fire at the rapidly approaching zombies I continued laughing... then decided to help out. I Took the sword from my pocket and ran into the fray just as I was starting to have fun one classic Dracula type got me. I turned into a vampire and seemingly from nowhere, acquired a rather cool black cloak with blood red Symbols. and said "Well then, I guess I'm on the other side now, just as I was returning with my Vampire awesomeness the dream ended.

[COLOR=Red]My Apologies, I have been swamped with homework recently...which led to me being lazy, anyway here are the dreams I remember. Unfortunately I do not remember many.

      Night of 11/15/07
Was in a tunnel, the area was damp though surprisingly smelled nice, like the smell of fallen leaves. The walls were made of un-mortared brick, a group of strange looking birds flew past, they were quite small, about the size of two quarters at most. Forgot the rest of the dream.

      Night of 11/18/07
      A Cloak of Chains
      [SIZE=5][COLOR=Black][SIZE=4][SIZE=2]
      I.
I stood upon a large plain, a light breeze was blowing this was one thing that would normally make me feel at ease (Don't ask why it just does...) yet for some reason I felt tense, I smelt smoke and another strange odor that I am not familiar with. I blinked and found myself alongside a line of people in armor... most strange mixes of realistic armor and stuff from games, most carried spears and short swords. Across from us was an army of countless people, I noticed that no one near me nor on the other side had faces, though I thought this perfectly normal... same with the giant door laying against a hill a few miles off. I blanked out for a little while and then realized I was in the middle of a battle After a few moments of fighting (Most of it was just kind of random blurred images...) I lost my shield and sword. As someone went to strike me down I reached to my cloak and pulled it in front of me. It was made tiny interwoven chains, once it covered up my view the dream kind of faded.

      II.

I came into another dream, this one was continuously switching from first to third person, The cloak of chains was wrapped around me and someone else. Apparently protecting me and the other from some threat...(It was something I just don't know what it was, I don't remember.) After a while the other hugged me (Switch to third person) I saw me and the other still hideing behind the cloak. (Back to first person.) The person says to me "I never want to leave you." (Switch to third.) The threat begins to leave. (Back to first) Still being hugged by person, Dream kinda stops there, partially due to my being uncomfortable around people I think.

I was floating through space, watching stars and clouds go by... and a random shovel with a cow standing on the handle...

Unfortunately I do not recall these dreams.

(This is not a dream but an apology and an excuse of sorts for my absence.)

I must apologize for my ...I believe 8 month disappearance. Things have been on a roller coaster in and out of hell for a while. My parents got divorced, Me and my dad lost our house, my sister moved out, I was also fired from my job for not answering the phone once.

Things are settling down now so Hopefully I will be able to keep track of my dreams. In the past few weeks I have not had any dreams that really stood out, most have them have been either so strange or just too blurred for lack of a better word. Hopefully in the morning, Should i manage to sleep, I will have something to post.

      Cool Finally a new dream

I have no fancy title for this, but it was a lucid dream and it completed the basic task of the month.

I was floating in an indoor pool facing the ceiling, it was dark everywhere in the room save for some light reflecting off the water and dancing across the ceiling. It was one of the most relaxing feelings I've every experienced, just floating and looking at the reflections. I closed my eyes a moment, when I opened them I was laying in bed. Dim light was shining through the blinds, just like every morning. Everything was perfectly normal so I did a reality check (I do one every time I wake because I seem to be fooled by false awakenings often.) And found that I had 14 and a half fingers and could breathe through my nose. I was quite excited and almost lost it twice, I managed to stay lucid and decided to go fly, I walked outside onto a cobblestone street. After three attempts to fly with no success I had to think of other things to do. During my thinking I remembered the lucid task of going to a beach. As I turned I saw behind me a door, Not attached to anything, just standing there (This is how I change locations.) I walked through onto a beach. Sand stretching out to the water's edge, the sun was out, although somewhat dimmer than normal sunlight, the only sounds were the waves washing against shore and the almost constant slight breeze. I walked out into the water and decided to try a few things, first, walking on water which was interesting, although I was disappointed that it didn't feel completely real. I watched the water beneath me then saw a reflection of the sky. I looked up and saw a red sky, tinged with a few other colors that I have no words for, strange blends of colors. As I walked around on the water a strange noise sounded. A moment later and I could hear someone singing, then the dream's reality faded and I awoke in my room to the sounds of my mp3 player.

(I was pleased with this dream, although I wish I had not had my mp3 player on so I could've done more. But this is my first lucid in quite a while, I may not have done much but it entertained me. Hoping for another one tonight. Farewell for now.)

      First Dream

I was walking through a long stone hallway with wooden trim. Other people walked in the hall, some towards me and some away. I looked at the signs above occasional doorways, feeling nervous as though it was my first day at a job or something. I looked at the strange letters above one door and recognized it as the place I was looking for. I entered and found myself in a small workroom, a wood and metal shop by the look of it. I walked over to a workbench and a large man working in the corner near a forge nodded to me, I nodded back and set to work. I'm not sure exactly what I was working on, almost as soon as I sat I found myself standing up from a seat on a bus, in a city, a loud noise sounded and I awoke to my alarm clock.

(At this point I was attempting WBTB, which failed, though strangly part of my rational mind still worked at one point...could've had an LD but failed.)

      Second dream

Me and another person were chasing someone, the other person had done something horrible though I knew not what it was. The person ahead was getting further away. Doors started closing at this point, thick steel doors. As they closed I stopped and concentrated a moment then launched some kind of energy at the doors, dissolving and blasting them away one by one. The person we were chasing seemed to have escaped already. I stopped and then thought "It is not possible to shot energy from my hands so that must mean..." Then I realized I had been in a small robotic suit for the entire time, (even though I clearly remember not being in it throughout the dream.) My thoughts drifted off, I'm not sure what happened after that but the dream was lost and I awoke.
