      Strinky's Subconscious Silliness

      ˇBienvenidos!
And velcome to my Dream Journal.

      The Key
      • Titles are in bold.
      • Dreamsigns are in bold maroon.
      • Lucid dreams are blue.
      • Those with the title Mr. and Mrs. are teachers unless otherwise noted.
      • I went to two high schools - HCA and RCA, and they will be referred to as such.
      • My dreams don't make much sense, but whose do?

      Lucid Goals

      1. Visit Atlantis.
I think it would just be awesome to see what my mind could come up with for an underwater city from ancient times.

      2. Ask God what my major should be.
I have absolutely no clue, so I'm interested in what the Big Guy would have to say. Though I'll be kind of skeptical if I get something like Chemistry.

      3. Fly over the ocean.
I know it's my goal to fly pretty much every night, and I'm sure it will be an exhilarating experience wherever I do so. But as I was thinking about it while at the beach in Florida, I figured that it would be a pretty awesome deal if I could fly about a foot over the ocean, the salty air in my face. Perhaps I'd take a dive every now and then.

      4. Experience a violent storm on the Yorkshire moors.
The ultimate Wuthering Heights experience. I think it could be something very powerful and awe-inspiring.

      5. Fly into outer space.
Sound like this is a lucid rite of passage, and everyone does it, but it sounds pretty awesome. I have a bunch of programs that allow me to travel virtually through space, so it shouldn't be that difficult to inspire me.

      6. Be in The Lord of the Rings.
I'm going to have to read the series again to do this well, and probably watch the movie again. But I'd really like to have a few dream adventures, and this seem like a great place to start.

      7. Live out some of my stories.
I'd like to do this to help with plot ideas, actually. I think this could be a very interesting way to see if things in my writing work. Also, I'd like to meet a few of the characters in my head.

      8. Have plenty of romantic encounters.
Yeah, I could spend a year on just this, but I'm going to try to prioritize and limit myself. Celebs, peers, uh . . . teachers . . . but I'll try to make these the minimum of my dreams.

      9. Transform into a wolf and run around in a snowy wasteland.
Another essential literary experience, this time from Jack London. I'd love to just feel what it's like to be a wolf, run with the pack, feel those ancient connections, and howl to the moon.

      10. WILD on an airplane.
I take airplane rides semi-frequently, and I think it'd be a pretty fun thing to try. I'd get out of my seat, open the emergency release door, and plummet to whatever lies beyond. Or maybe try flying the plane?

I began reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming a few days ago, so I will record my dreams from that point forward.

      November 17, 2007
      Cravats and Dancing
I remember very little from this dream, except that it played out like a domestic period film. I walked past women in regency clothing, sitting by the windows with their hands folded in their laps. A sense of calm pervaded the scene. I even vaguely recall seeing Jane Austen.

      November 18, 2007
      The Hole-y Grail
I traveled to a scenic spot in England with my friends Bryanna and Courtney. I don't recall how we traveled there - only that we found ourselves climbing a very large hill. Once at the top, I realized that I had been here before, by myself. I told Bryanna and Courtney about how long ago, I had dropped a paper cup covered in holes from this very spot, and believed it to have blown away. I was lying to them, and in reality knew that someone had taken the cup for evil purposes.

      Hotel Rwanda
I found myself inexplicably pregnant. After thinking about how this could have happened, I decided that it was definitely Tom Cruise's baby. Also, I knew that it would grow up to be Gary Coleman. I knew this because I saw him floating in front of me in a circular river, so, obviously. Then I saw Tom himself, as well as Nicole Kidman and other women, floating in the river with Gary. They were all arguing about who was the mother of my baby. Then, a frightening man in a gondola, who resembled Erik from the Phantom of the Opera, started following Tom. The man had a long stick with this monkey puppet tied to the end of it, and kept sticking it in Tom's face. A giant claw came from the ceiling and picked one of the women in the pool out by her feet, and that is how we knew that she was the real mother of Tom's child. Throughout this dream, I kept thinking, "This is just like Hotel Rwanda." Even though I have never seen that movie and have no idea what it's about.

      First Tattoo
I got my very first tattoo from Kat Von D, from LA Ink. I thought that since I was seventeen, I should be able to get the tattoo with my parents' permission. The tattoo was a short quote, and I got it on my wrist. I felt very little pain. I got another tattoo on my face, modeled after that picture of two people with their faces painted like fish (I tried to find the picture IRL to post here). However, Kat made a mistake with the tattoo and I became very angry, because I knew it was permanent.

      November 19, 2007
      Mission: Protect the Chocolate
I had to work at a large candy factory as a security guard. There were enormous, colorful machines with stripes. I remember Mr. Smith standing off to the side of the machines but not really doing anything but watching me. Then a few of the security guards (me included) gathered in a circle outside of the factory. The only familiar people were my friends Katie and Alex. Suddenly we were all wearing black backpacks, and one of the guards said that we were meeting in order to check everyone's backpack. I felt embarrassed and affronted at this. I said something humorous to mask my feelings, and everyone laughed.

      Summer Camp
I don't remember much, but I was at camp with a girl with curly brown hair and a blue shirt. It sort of looked like a camp I used to attend in elementary school. It was dark, and the girl and I were making some sort of secret trade.

      Nautical Theology
I rode on a horse with a small group along a brick wall or fence of some sort, heading from left to right (as if I was watching it from the side of the path). The wall reminded me of The Secret Garden. Then we got into small boats. Sir Guy from BBC's Robin Hood was there, as was Victoria from Black Knight. We were supposed to give a birthday card to an old man who might also have been God. The card contained the Ten Commandments and we read them out loud. Then we discussed the theological implications of "Amazing Grace." As we did this, we traveled through a sort of swampy area.

      No, I'm Really Leaving
I was at HCA, but it didn't look like HCA. It was a hall, a bit like my elementary school, with a patio outside with tables. This area looked kind of like the dining hall patio at a summer camp I went to recently. I was leaving HCA again (note: I often leave this school IRL, only to return anywhere from a day to a week later) and went to tell this to Mr. Estin and Mr. Smith who were sitting out on the patio. I told them, and they smiled with disbelief. Mr. Smith was actually just a twin of Mr. Estin. Mr. Smith pulled out his guitar and began to sing, "I'm Brittany, and I'm leaving HCA. Just kidding! No, I'm really leaving . . . no, just kidding again!" I went back into the hall and saw my friend Erin and someone else in their basketball uniform, so I also changed into my uniform.

      My Dream Dream Journal
I dreamt that I woke up and recorded the previous dream in my dream journal, but accidentally wrote it over a previous dream. Upon actually waking, I even recalled the words I used and was surprised not to find the entry written. So I simply wrote what I knew I had written before, and reflected on how I had been able to read in my dream. I heard that that's unusual.

      November 20, 2007
      The Next John Grisham
I don't remember this one in my mind at all, so I'm going entirely off the notes I took at the time. I read a lot of political thrillers and became the author of one. It involved young girls and obnoxious neighbors. I remember being frightened.

      School at Grandma's
I was at a basketball game, and Dr. Fouche (my history teacher from a while back) was there. I sat on the bench and a ball came my way. I tried to throw the ball back on the court but it went an embarrassingly short distance. I was given a ride from the game by a man in an unmarked white van. He gave me some pills and told me about how awful everyone at HCA is. I told him that I was from HCA, and he paused before turning into something small and evil. Then he dropped me off at RCA, which was under my grandmother's house. I met Bam Margera at RCA, and wanted to go on a date with him. He didn't want to, shockingly. I told a girl about how difficult it is to lose weight, and that I sometimes had to resort to not eating. She gasped. To forget my troubles, that girl and I applied for jobs at the mall. I got a TV spot and slept with my producer (I just knew that I had - there was no actual scene). We looked at clothes for a while.

      Commander-in-Chief for a Day
On arriving at my grandmother's house a separate time, I had been elected Commander-in-Chief by some sort of fluke. I think the previous Commander (not Bush) thought I was cool and just off-handedly gave me the position. Then a war actually started, and the army consisted of the HCA folks and various others that I knew. Almost everyone resented me for being elected Commander-in-Chief. There was a class on the various positions and their symbols, and I found out that Commander was represented by a dragon. The teachers were the only ones who didn't hold a grudge against me. I felt like I had to prepare myself for some sort of storm and tried to make my rainbow-colored bed weatherproof, and felt like I was doing so the same way Mary or Jesus had. The building was kind of like a college dorm. I thought that I should give up my position, so I brought Mr. Estin into my room and asked for advice. Mrs. Thomas encouraged me, reminding me of all of my previous victories in battle. I took heart and decided to stick it out, wishing all the while that I was more spiritual. I ate chocolate.

That's it for now. Hopefully there will be a few lucid entries in the near future!

Some great dreams there. I like the way you write down what you were thinking as well as what you saw/heard.

Are you into dream interpretation at all?

Thanks, I've only dabbled lightly in dream interpretation. Nothing formal - I've just looked at a few lists of symbols. Since I didn't take note of dreamsigns until recently, I haven't yet looked for much deeper meaning.

      Jackass Camp
I was at camp (I've added that as a dreamsign now), the same camp from the dream "Summer Camp." We were going to have a relay race, and each of our team leaders was one of the guys from Jackass. Bam Margera was my group leader. I wore my white The Office long-sleeved t-shirt that has a picture of Abe Lincoln on it saying, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the north," with pink sweatpants. I was extremely slow. My mother was there, flirting with Johnny Knoxville as I ran past them on the path.

      Ashamed
I was at one of the first houses I've lived in, waiting for my cousin Justin to come over. I was anxious and embarrassed about this because I had grown very fat over the last few months. He's always been so into fitness that I didn't want to be a disappointment. I tried losing weight, but to no avail. There were fish involved.

      Harry Potter 8
I was Harry Potter in the Harry Potter world. Things were looking bleak. It was sort of a "Voldemort has won" kind of deal - everything was dark and dead, trees weathered and gnarled, no grass, etc. Dumbledore was still alive, and we worked together to defeat Voldemort and his curse. Hogwarts was located in the neighborhood I lived in a few months ago.

Eventually we were able to get the curse on the land lifted, though there were no visible changes. Therefore, everyone thought that the land was still under Voldemort's control. I suppose he had somehow been killed when we lifted the curse. I flew up into the air and over an area where there had previously been a magical boundary that Voldy had drawn, enjoying my ability to do so.

Dumbledore and I traveled back to Hogwarts, ready to face our final battle with Snape (evil this time). We pulled out all the stops, though I don't remember contributing very much to the fight. Dumbledore pulled out a card with a skull on it and performed a complex spell. The skull appeared above Snape and defeated him - I say "defeated" because I don't remember anything other than proclaiming victory.

Dumbledore left, and a woman tried to stop us. I apparated from there to the front of Hogwarts, which looked like a small Catholic church. I don't know what I thought next to make this happen, but . . . I realized I was dreaming! I changed back into myself (not Harry anymore) Nothing changed around me at this realization other than my awareness of everything. I didn't do anything to ground myself, and I kept calm. I tried to fly, but found it extremely difficult. I think I was trying too hard, rather than just sort of "willing it."

Somehow I had the presence of mind to remember to do the lucid tasks. I thought about there being a turkey behind me, turned around, and there it was. It was a black and white turkey, rather small. I asked, "How do you feel about Thanksgiving?" It replied, "Oh . . . Oh! . . ." and then started ranting in German in a screechy woman's voice. Unfortunately I don't know German and couldn't translate.

Then I thought about the sex change task and fully believed I could do it. I started to feel pressure against the crotch of my jeans, when I saw the Hogwarts students come out the front of the school. I reversed the half-done sex change. My RL friend Brian came out dressed in a beige/khaki-colored suit and a Slytherin tie, and I decided I'd rather make out with him than get a sex change. So, emboldened by my knowledge that I was dreaming, I said, "So, you want to go inside and make out?" He smiled and replied, "Sure."

Then he ran off and left me standing there in my Ravenclaw uniform. I waited for a while and eventually grew impatient. I thought, "Well, I could just go make out with Snape. That would be hot." But I decided that when I turned around, Brian would be back. And so it was. He grabbed my hand and we were off. We ran inside, very sneaky-like, while celebratory fireworks went on outside at the victory of the good guys. We ran into a stall and started making out. Then I woke up.

My first lucid dream, and one of fairly decent length. After only three days or so of really trying! I'm pleased that I remembered the lucid tasks. It's funny, though, that I didn't think to do anything I had planned in waking life other than the lucid tasks. Brian had never before crossed my mind as it concerned lucid dreaming. I'm hoping that this will give me the confidence to repeat this in the near future. It was a wonderful feeling, and I plan to do more advanced things as soon as possible. And succeed at flying, gosh darnit.

Hmm, I was reading over my previous dream about the tattoo, which caused me to remember another dream I had last night. I don't recall much, other than that I was in a tattoo parlor and a woman came in and wanted to get a tattoo of a blue vagina on her stomach. I'm starting to realize that I should be glad that I became lucid in my Harry Potter dream (and not one of these others), as everything was already set up in a cool way.

Your dreams are fun to read.

The Hotel Rwanda dream was hilarious. Good job on the lucid!

(I wonder if anyone anywhere has a blue vagina tattoo? )

The Hotel Rwanda one was especially vivid, and . . . more random than usual. I kept jumping perspectives, from outside of the river, to swimming in the river, to being the guy with the puppet . . . fun stuff.

It was a godawful ugly tattoo, so I hope no one has it. Tattoos have been popping up in my dreams often, as have the Jackass guys. I wonder if it has something to do with watching a lot of Jackass and Miami Ink (I only started watching the former recently)? Nah. Maybe I should do an RC when I watch those shows.

      Thanks for the comments.

Well, last night didn't go well in any respect. My leg was hurting, and I didn't get very much sleep. I felt like I never really slept for more than an hour at a time, so the dreams I remember were short little episodes.

      November 23, 2007
      - I was a young Macaulay Culkin, posting on a forum about Harry Potter and Stephen Colbert. Everyone on the forum was reminiscing about old times, about how I've changed, etc. And I don't know how this fits in, but I wrote "Someone lost their digital camera."

      - Stephen Colbert had a group of us perform various dangerous tasks. There were alligator ponds involved.

      - We were all in a hall that I don't feel I've seen before. My RCA principal lined us all up and said that the first to write something on a yellow sheet of paper "wins." We all raced off, somehow knowing exactly where to find yellow sheets of paper. We took elevators, stairs, pushed and shoved like the prize was a million dollars. This fat kid got there first and sat on the stack of yellow papers so no one else could use them. We all surrounded him, angry, in this large glass dome with plants in it.

      - I was in Peter Pan. That's all I remember.

Tonight will be more productive. I'll take some Advil for the leg and sleep like a baby. Well, a baby that doesn't wake up every ten minutes screaming. I'd really like to complete successfully the advanced lucid task. Actually flying would be nice as well.

Another bad night for dreaming. While I did indeed sleep well for about five hours, my parents decided to wake up and make noise at around 7:00am. I tried to ignore them and get back to sleep, but to no avail. Also, I didn't recall any dreams from the first five hours. What I do have written down is from a nap in the car:

      November 24, 2007
Lots of hypnagogic imagery. I had one episode which seemed like a dream, but I'm not sure. My parents kidnapped me by leading me through the woods and then locking me in a small log cabin. My father came in a bit later, and at that point I realized that I had done this all before and knew exactly how it would play out (I get this sense often in dreams, even if I had never recorded anything of the sort). My father ordered me to construct a large wooden sign with him, though I don't remember what it said. Halfway through I said, "Forget this. You can't keep me captive." I tried to escape, and then woke up.

I have a much better feeling about tonight (I know, that's what I said last night). We're back from Florida now, and my surroundings are a bit more predictable. I've been reading more of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, and it's given me quite a bit of inspiration. I want to fly now more than ever, but I'd also like simply to explore my senses. I've often heard people talk about how once they become lucid, things get vivid, more real, etc. That didn't happen during my first lucid dream; I barely took note of the environment. It was sort of like, "Oh, I'm dreaming. Where's a turkey?"

      I'll fix that tonight.

I see you've spiffed up the old DJ a little. Very nice. The pictures make so much easier read and get into.

Adam - I took a multivitamin for the first time in a while this morning, and realized that it has 125% of my daily B6 in it, which might help. Also, I'm going to focus on feeling textures and solidifying things in my next lucid. Whenever that is . . .

The Cusp - Thank you for noticing. It was a lot of fun to spruce up. I wish I was an artist, though, so I could recreate exactly what I saw. It's almost enough to make me want to take lessons.

Last night was sort of an average dream night. I've found that once I wake up after the initial five hours or so to record my first remembered dream, it's difficult for me to get back to sleep. I get so excited at the possibility of lucid dreaming, that I simply toss and turn, waiting for sleep to return. I need to try a few relaxation techniques.

The Atlanta School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
I woke up several times throughout this description, but since I kept ending up in the same place with the same people, I consolidated it into one dream. I attended RCA, but felt extremely unprepared for any of my classes, tests, etc. Strangely, my school had a sorority and a fraternity, but I wasn't a member. Everyone in the Greek system gathered on the front lawn and sang a song. I tried to escape from the school at this point, but Snape caught me and dragged me into his Potions class. I sneaked out again and played out on the lawn with a few of my friends before deciding to go back inside.

Once back inside, it was now my Catholic Doctrine class, which I was unprepared for. I pulled out my notebook and began to take notes. Beneath my notes appeared a written message, "Hey Brittany." I turned around and my friend Tyler smiled at me. I wrote beneath it and we began to communicate with each other via our notebooks. Tyler requested that I draw a picture of his deceased mother for him, so I did. It was a hideous picture - she had long, frizzy red hair and a Cabbage-Patch face. He liked it, though. Our teacher apparently caught him, because the next message I received was from her.

I decided to take a nap in class, which I would never do in real life. The bell rang, and I met Tyler and his brothers in the gym. We all picked up plastic bats and began hitting each other with them. I used my bat to smack Tyler's younger brother in the face, and Tyler got angry with me. After I left, Tyler texted me, saying, "My brother Shep has a crush on you." I replied, "Which one is Shep?" Which he never answered. Then I asked my elementary school friend Margaret if she wanted to come over to my house, thinking that she was Tyler.

Out on the school's front lawn, my English teacher, Mr. Carlson, and a Philosophy professor I once met were talking. The professor said, "That Brittany is quite a spectacular student." Mr. Carlson said, "Yes, she is very well-read. Probably the best student I've ever had." And they continued to discuss my achievements and goals.

So that's it for that dream. A few interesting observations: I was able to read and write throughout the dream. I've noticed this before. I don't think the text reality check will work for me, because letters don't scramble themselves when I'm dreaming. I clearly remember reading the text messages, as well as what I wrote on the page. Also, I felt "absent" throughout many of my dream episodes last night. As in, it felt more like watching it on a TV screen than experiencing it. Especially when my teachers talked - I don't recall feeling any emotions about what they were saying (and I would have been quite proud/slightly embarrassed in real life). Also, I was able to nap in my dream without waking up in real life. I recently read in EWLD that going to sleep in a dream tends to wake you up. Hmm.

I'm about to take a nap. I took some B6 this morning and I have my handy earplugs. Hoping for the best.

Excellent, well if you need a hand give me a shout. Usually for B^ you can take up to a maximum of 2000% I think. Most people aim for 500-1000% though. I have thought about this, but my dreams are weird enough as it is, and I have enough lucid dreams to satisfy me at the moment, I don't want to mess that up.

How many lucid dreams have you had?

2000%? Wow, now that I didn't consider. My multivitamin also contains a lot of caffeine, so I don't want to take too many of them. However, I might consider investing in straight B6. Maybe next time I'm at the grocery/drug store.

I've only had one lucid dream, unfortunately, but I've only been trying for about five or six days. I had my first after two or three. I know that it takes some people weeks or months, so I know I shouldn't be frustrated. It's hard not to, though, when your dreams have such obvious giveaways for becoming lucid and you "reason" past them. How often do you have lucid dreams?

      |Mine are every 2/3 days I think - unless I WILD in which case could be most nights.

Most people don't even think to question dreams, which is why most people don't become lucid, so you are on the right tracks

Ah, I would love to be able to lucid dream most nights. Ideally I'd like to get to the point where I can use LD's for life application purposes - conquering fears, practicing for situations, improving creativity, etc. Until I have better control I'll probably be sticking with more "wish fulfillment" and fun, but the previously mentioned is where I'd like to be in a few years.

Now that I think about it, I probably will PM you with a few specific questions. Most likely tomorrow, though, as right now I should be studying.

I didn't sleep a wink the night before last. I tried for about three hours before giving up and logging back onto Dreamviews. However, I went to bed at 8:00pm last night and awoke at at 11:00am this morning. Yeah, wow. I did a WBTB at 1:00am. The results are a very confused bunch of little episodes that I'm just going to put under one header.

      A Babel of Dreams
I was in the Kroger (a grocery store) where I used to work. I wandered through the isles, looking for a huge jar of pickles. Mr. Smith came around the corner, and I waved to him and said hello. He ignored me and continued down the isle. After a few seconds, he doubled back and greeted me warmly, asking me if there was anything I'd like to talk to him about. I was tempted to tell him about how I'd been raped several times, but feared that he would want to harm those who had done it. I just smiled and shook my head, and continued on my way.

While walking out of the grocery store, I saw his son (who is my age). He said, "I want to go out with you." I told him that I would think about it, but figured that going out with him would allow me to spend more time around his father. I agreed to do so.

My friend Curtis, who I used to work with but moved to Arizona, came back to live in Georgia. Before leaving he had said that he wished we could have a relationship, so now that he was back, he asked me on a date. I didn't like him very much anymore, especially after finding out that he was a raving Juggalo. I told him I would think about it. I went to talk to Mr. Smith about it, who turned out to be a good friend of Curtis'. He didn't give me any advice about dating him, but I decided against it.

My friend Brittany from Kentucky asked me to go to church with her for all three morning services. I wanted to go, but my mother wouldn't allow it. We got into a heated argument that ended in screaming and physical violence. I went to church anyway, leaving my mother furious.

I went to school and Matt Damon was there. I wished I had my camera, but settled for getting several of his autographs. After signing them, he asked me, "Want to go and get a drink with me?" I replied, "I would love to - when I'm 21. However, we can hang out somewhere else." He agreed, and left by himself. Matthew Mcconaughey then walked in and immediately started kissing me. Mr. Carlson, wearing a Phantom of the Opera costume, watched.

I went to a costume party at my school dressed as Pikachu, with one of the alter servers at my church. Mr. Carlson went up to someone else in a Pikachu costume and hugged them, thinking it was me. It turned out to be my friend Sean. Everyone started to do some kind of country dance, which I knew how to do, but confused the alter server.

So that's what 15 hours of sleep will give you. I was slightly lucid throughout much of this - as in, I felt as if I could control my actions and even, to an extent, other people. But I don't remember specifically thinking, "I'm dreaming" and acting on it. Also, I'm not a fan of Matt Damon. Or Matthew Mcconaughey. Or Tom Cruise or any of these celebrities I dream about (except Stephen Colbert). What's up with that, subconscious?

I've been away for a few days, but I'm back. I finally caught up on some much-needed sleep, and the result is my second lucid! The other dreams I had last night are fragmented in my memory and of no significance.

      December 1, 2007
      Let It Snow
I was at my principal's house – or, at least she was there. Mr. Estin and his family were there teaching. Mr. Estin left and told me to take over the class. I attempted to do so for a while. Then we went out on the lake at Mrs. Beckman's house, and Mr. Estin looked like my dad. Julie, a girl from the university I'll be attending, was there.

Gradually, I realized that I was in a dream. I immediately thought of the advanced lucid task, and set to work on making it winter. I went outside and saw a lovely view of mountains and trees and the winding road. I visualized it becoming winter by various methods – closing my eyes and opening them again, simply willing it, etc. Eventually the temperature dropped and it began to snow. However, it didn't stick. What I did then was move my hand like a paintbrush over the scenery, and as I did so, that area was covered in snow. I then turned to the trees and visualized their leaves falling off, and it was so. One of the DCs made fun of me for not completing the scene with clouds. So I looked up into the sky and casually "painted" clouds.

It seemed like the less effort I put into what I wanted to do, the easier it was to perform. I was so focused on making it winter, though, that I forgot entirely about the basic lucid task. However, everyone then loaded into the car. While in the car, I took a good look about myself. Everything seemed so real that I questioned whether I was still dreaming. I did the "plug your nose" reality check, and felt a jolt of excitement when I realized that I could still breathe.

I decided to look at everything in the car in detail. First I looked at my hands, the fingerprints of which began to come into more and more detail. The prints were so defined that they seemed outlined in black, and began to have a rainbow of colors between them. I felt the seat, my jeans, and wished I had access to more interesting textures. I thought about how this might have been brought about by the B6 and Tryptophan I took last night.

We stopped at the side of the road, and I figured that I would try my hand at summoning. I got out of the car and tried a few techniques. I would walk around the car, fully expecting the person to be around the corner. I tried that a few times and failed. Then I tried getting rid of a few DC's, but they laughed at my attempts. We then got back in the car and headed to an amusement park. The last thing I remember seeing was cars driving on a roller coaster, and I thought that I'd try imagining that certain people had a reason to be at the park.

Overall, I am quite pleased. I think all of the conditions were right for this - nine and half hours of sleep, B6 (200 mg) and Tryptophan (various foods), a WBTB for fifteen minutes, etc. I'm glad that I remembered to do two things that I wanted to do - the lucid task and noticing detail. I didn't think to retry flying, though, but there's plenty of time for that. As well as learning how to summon correctly.

Thanks Adam. I was quite taken with the amount of detail that I saw. I remember wishing that I could somehow bring a picture of it all back to the real world. By the way, the other night I took your advice and said to myself before bed, "If I wake up anywhere other than my bedroom, it's a dream." So, of course, where did my dream start? Yep.

Crossing my fingers for another one soon.

Wait a minute... So you're using the son to get to the father?

Now that's interesting. Probably true for eveyone's lucid dreams.

Yes, it seems that my dream self is rather manipulative like that. I'd like to think that I wouldn't do that in real life.

Yeah, with putting snow on everything especially. At first I'd stare down whatever it was that didn't have snow on it, and vigorously wave my hand in front of it, willing it to be snowed. After a few failed attempts, I thought I'd stop bothering too much and just casually pointed at things. Within a few seconds, everything was white. If only I'd taken the casual approach with summoning people . . .
