ˇBienvenidos!
And velcome to my Dream Journal.
The Key
- Titles are in bold.
- Dreamsigns are in bold maroon.
- Lucid dreams are blue.
- Those with the title Mr. and Mrs. are teachers unless otherwise noted.
- I went to two high schools - HCA and RCA, and they will be referred to as such.
- My dreams don't make much sense, but whose do?
Lucid Goals
1. Visit Atlantis.
I think it would just be awesome to see what my mind could come up with for an underwater city from ancient times.
2. Ask God what my major should be.
I have absolutely no clue, so I'm interested in what the Big Guy would have to say. Though I'll be kind of skeptical if I get something like Chemistry.
3. Fly over the ocean.
I know it's my goal to fly pretty much every night, and I'm sure it will be an exhilarating experience wherever I do so. But as I was thinking about it while at the beach in Florida, I figured that it would be a pretty awesome deal if I could fly about a foot over the ocean, the salty air in my face. Perhaps I'd take a dive every now and then.
4. Experience a violent storm on the Yorkshire moors.
The ultimate Wuthering Heights experience. I think it could be something very powerful and awe-inspiring.
5. Fly into outer space.
Sound like this is a lucid rite of passage, and everyone does it, but it sounds pretty awesome. I have a bunch of programs that allow me to travel virtually through space, so it shouldn't be that difficult to inspire me.
6. Be in The Lord of the Rings.
I'm going to have to read the series again to do this well, and probably watch the movie again. But I'd really like to have a few dream adventures, and this seem like a great place to start.
7. Live out some of my stories.
I'd like to do this to help with plot ideas, actually. I think this could be a very interesting way to see if things in my writing work. Also, I'd like to meet a few of the characters in my head.
8. Have plenty of romantic encounters.
Yeah, I could spend a year on just this, but I'm going to try to prioritize and limit myself. Celebs, peers, uh . . . teachers . . . but I'll try to make these the minimum of my dreams.
9. Transform into a wolf and run around in a snowy wasteland.
Another essential literary experience, this time from Jack London. I'd love to just feel what it's like to be a wolf, run with the pack, feel those ancient connections, and howl to the moon.
10. WILD on an airplane.
I take airplane rides semi-frequently, and I think it'd be a pretty fun thing to try. I'd get out of my seat, open the emergency release door, and plummet to whatever lies beyond. Or maybe try flying the plane?
I began reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming a few days ago, so I will record my dreams from that point forward.

Cravats and Dancing
I remember very little from this dream, except that it played out like a domestic period film. I walked past women in regency clothing, sitting by the windows with their hands folded in their laps. A sense of calm pervaded the scene. I even vaguely recall seeing Jane Austen.

The Hole-y Grail
I traveled to a scenic spot in England with my friends Bryanna and Courtney. I don't recall how we traveled there - only that we found ourselves climbing a very large hill. Once at the top, I realized that I had been here before, by myself. I told Bryanna and Courtney about how long ago, I had dropped a paper cup covered in holes from this very spot, and believed it to have blown away. I was lying to them, and in reality knew that someone had taken the cup for evil purposes.
Hotel Rwanda
I found myself inexplicably pregnant. After thinking about how this could have happened, I decided that it was definitely Tom Cruise's baby. Also, I knew that it would grow up to be Gary Coleman. I knew this because I saw him floating in front of me in a circular river, so, obviously. Then I saw Tom himself, as well as Nicole Kidman and other women, floating in the river with Gary. They were all arguing about who was the mother of my baby. Then, a frightening man in a gondola, who resembled Erik from the Phantom of the Opera, started following Tom. The man had a long stick with this monkey puppet tied to the end of it, and kept sticking it in Tom's face. A giant claw came from the ceiling and picked one of the women in the pool out by her feet, and that is how we knew that she was the real mother of Tom's child. Throughout this dream, I kept thinking, "This is just like Hotel Rwanda." Even though I have never seen that movie and have no idea what it's about.
First Tattoo
I got my very first tattoo from Kat Von D, from LA Ink. I thought that since I was seventeen, I should be able to get the tattoo with my parents' permission. The tattoo was a short quote, and I got it on my wrist. I felt very little pain. I got another tattoo on my face, modeled after that picture of two people with their faces painted like fish (I tried to find the picture IRL to post here). However, Kat made a mistake with the tattoo and I became very angry, because I knew it was permanent.

Mission: Protect the Chocolate
I had to work at a large candy factory as a security guard. There were enormous, colorful machines with stripes. I remember Mr. Smith standing off to the side of the machines but not really doing anything but watching me. Then a few of the security guards (me included) gathered in a circle outside of the factory. The only familiar people were my friends Katie and Alex. Suddenly we were all wearing black backpacks, and one of the guards said that we were meeting in order to check everyone's backpack. I felt embarrassed and affronted at this. I said something humorous to mask my feelings, and everyone laughed.
Summer Camp
I don't remember much, but I was at camp with a girl with curly brown hair and a blue shirt. It sort of looked like a camp I used to attend in elementary school. It was dark, and the girl and I were making some sort of secret trade.
Nautical Theology
I rode on a horse with a small group along a brick wall or fence of some sort, heading from left to right (as if I was watching it from the side of the path). The wall reminded me of The Secret Garden. Then we got into small boats. Sir Guy from BBC's Robin Hood was there, as was Victoria from Black Knight. We were supposed to give a birthday card to an old man who might also have been God. The card contained the Ten Commandments and we read them out loud. Then we discussed the theological implications of "Amazing Grace." As we did this, we traveled through a sort of swampy area.
No, I'm Really Leaving
I was at HCA, but it didn't look like HCA. It was a hall, a bit like my elementary school, with a patio outside with tables. This area looked kind of like the dining hall patio at a summer camp I went to recently. I was leaving HCA again (note: I often leave this school IRL, only to return anywhere from a day to a week later) and went to tell this to Mr. Estin and Mr. Smith who were sitting out on the patio. I told them, and they smiled with disbelief. Mr. Smith was actually just a twin of Mr. Estin. Mr. Smith pulled out his guitar and began to sing, "I'm Brittany, and I'm leaving HCA. Just kidding! No, I'm really leaving . . . no, just kidding again!" I went back into the hall and saw my friend Erin and someone else in their basketball uniform, so I also changed into my uniform.
My Dream Dream Journal
I dreamt that I woke up and recorded the previous dream in my dream journal, but accidentally wrote it over a previous dream. Upon actually waking, I even recalled the words I used and was surprised not to find the entry written. So I simply wrote what I knew I had written before, and reflected on how I had been able to read in my dream. I heard that that's unusual.

The Next John Grisham
I don't remember this one in my mind at all, so I'm going entirely off the notes I took at the time. I read a lot of political thrillers and became the author of one. It involved young girls and obnoxious neighbors. I remember being frightened.
School at Grandma's
I was at a basketball game, and Dr. Fouche (my history teacher from a while back) was there. I sat on the bench and a ball came my way. I tried to throw the ball back on the court but it went an embarrassingly short distance. I was given a ride from the game by a man in an unmarked white van. He gave me some pills and told me about how awful everyone at HCA is. I told him that I was from HCA, and he paused before turning into something small and evil. Then he dropped me off at RCA, which was under my grandmother's house. I met Bam Margera at RCA, and wanted to go on a date with him. He didn't want to, shockingly. I told a girl about how difficult it is to lose weight, and that I sometimes had to resort to not eating. She gasped. To forget my troubles, that girl and I applied for jobs at the mall. I got a TV spot and slept with my producer (I just knew that I had - there was no actual scene). We looked at clothes for a while.
Commander-in-Chief for a Day
On arriving at my grandmother's house a separate time, I had been elected Commander-in-Chief by some sort of fluke. I think the previous Commander (not Bush) thought I was cool and just off-handedly gave me the position. Then a war actually started, and the army consisted of the HCA folks and various others that I knew. Almost everyone resented me for being elected Commander-in-Chief. There was a class on the various positions and their symbols, and I found out that Commander was represented by a dragon. The teachers were the only ones who didn't hold a grudge against me. I felt like I had to prepare myself for some sort of storm and tried to make my rainbow-colored bed weatherproof, and felt like I was doing so the same way Mary or Jesus had. The building was kind of like a college dorm. I thought that I should give up my position, so I brought Mr. Estin into my room and asked for advice. Mrs. Thomas encouraged me, reminding me of all of my previous victories in battle. I took heart and decided to stick it out, wishing all the while that I was more spiritual. I ate chocolate.
That's it for now. Hopefully there will be a few lucid entries in the near future!
