      Welcome to my dream journal.

I think I had my first LD at about the age of 7-10, not sure exactly. But I remember it was a nightmare, set in my school.. And I was aware that it was aa dream, and I was able to help people escape a mutilating, dark fiend. Something like that.

Anyways, I was searching Wikipedia, and wondered what dreams are anyways. So I searched it up, and there is a definition about Lucid Dreams. Intrigued, I googled it and tried it myself. Sort of. I only really got into it on January 11, 2008, when I googled it again and found these forums.

      January 11, 2008 - January 12, 2008 (Night)

I have this game for Xbox 360 called Bioshock. It has an amazing story. And one of the characters is called Sander Cohen, a crazed playwright and theatrical director that has taken to killing people in very artistic ways. Anyways, I felt bad about killing him when I didn't have to, because he was about the only friend you get in this game and such...

Now the dream. It was very quick. I tried WILDing that night, as I was really tired when I went to bed. I found myself inside this game world, and I remember thinking "Wow it actually worked. I'm dreaming." I made my way to this guy's room, and went inside. He humbly invited me in, but for some reason I got scared, backed out of the door, and woke up.

The rest of the night, I dreamt, but I am unable to recall what it was as I had not yet had a dream journal to record things in.

I wonder why I went there of all places. I think it's because I had been wanting to replay the game for some time, but my Xbox is broken at the moment.

      January 12, 2008 - January 13, 2008 (night)

I tried WILD again, and felt this needle-like thing in my legs. I also heard quite clearly "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)" by Pink Floyd. Then my dream started.

I was in a very wide canyon-like area. I did not know I was dreaming yet. It was war, and I was a soldier... So I go further, and there's a machine gun nest that shoots at us. Instead of taking cover, I teleport up, over the area, which has a kind of water-like barrier covering it. I thought "Wait, this is a dream."

It took me to another area, an abandoned village of sorts. I believe I have visited it in dreams in the past, because I remember being here, but cannot recall an instance in my 16 years that I would have come here in real life.

I have to find Yams. The vegetable. Wierd, I know, but I start looking for them. I was in control here, but decided to go along with the dream to see where it went, as it was pretty interesting. I found pumpkins, but no yams. I did, however, find steak. There was a forest nearby, with a clearing that had a path to the village. People came from there to the village... My dream started to get fuzzy here, but I remember eating the steak and actually tasting it. It was, suffice to say, quite delicious.

I woke up soon after eating it.

On a side note, I have always remembered going to a shipyard, which I do not think I have been to in real life. There were giant rusted ships, rope ladders, and it was close to a cliff. The air smelled of salt and fish, dirt and grime. I also remember there being a giant anchor. People were slaving about. I do not remember what I was doing there.

After coming to this site, I think this may have been a dream sometime. I remember it so vividly, though...

A note on Dream Journals: I keep a written dream journal by my bedside that I write point-form notes in. Then I will transfer it here in a more readable form. I think this will greatly help me as a writer, as well, as I love writing stories. I haven't had much motivation to do so for about 5 years, though. Great idea all-around to have a dream journal.

Didn't have time to write this down yesterday, but I never really remembered much about it.

What I do remember is that Lego was involved, and that I was on these forums.

Also, last night, I dreamt something but forgot it completely.

Ok tonight was great. Well, horrible actually.

After trying WILD, but not able to stay up (got way too tired and restless), I had two linking non-lucid dreams.

One of my friends IRL was for some reason really rich and snobbish in this dream. He wore a tux... just you're total stereotype for someone born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Also, a bit of background: Theres this girl I know that I would consider going out with. I don't use the term "crush", because thats not what it is... I can talk to her without going "um hi um um um".

Anyways, this rich kid had a party in his house. The house was smaller than mine, actually... Wierd for a rich kid. Something had compelled me the previous day to ask this girl out. Strangely, all my friends knew this. And so did he. But being the ass that he was, he asked her out before me. She promptly disapeared from my dream; I searched but could not find her. I cornered the little pompous bastard, and he told me in the most smug voice imaginable "Oh, you were? Well, that's too bad, isn't it?" I dunno what happened after, except that I did get together with a friend and we went to this jungle place.

At the jungle place, we had to look for Nuclear Missile launch codes, or else a village would be obliterated by the forces of evil. We looked everywhere, then I knew for some reason that it was hidden in a Lego set. Sure enough, they were in there, engraved in a piece of solid gold.

Thats it. I do remember shutting myself in a room at the party house. Also, I talked on a message board that I go to a lot... Not this one.

you like legos? you mentioned legos in another one of your dreams. Anyways, I'm Alex and good luck with your DJ. I know its helped me with my writing, makes me more descriptive, so I'm sure it will help U too.

Dreaming is forgetting the basis of reality, remembering it is to be lucid.

Yeah, I like Lego. I had them in the basement for a while, but I'm rebuilding now. After that, I want to make stop-motion movies with them.

Damn, last two or three nights that I haven't written anything about... I just can't remember anything.
