Do You Ever Tell People About Your DJ?

Just wondering if anyone tells anyone, perhaps a close friend, that they keep a dream journal. Alternatively, is this a personal thing you don't like to tell people, although you might tell them about lucid dreaming. Basically, do you talk to friends about lucid dreaming, or is it personal? I know I do.

I have told a couple people, But I mostly keep it to myself. For me, it's pretty personal. But I would be happy to share with anyone who is also into dreaming. But I don't know anyone who is into dreaming like I am. Aside from people on this forum.

this thread is in the wrong place, unless you intend to use it as a journal.

Tell all your friends about all your lucid dreams! You would get ideas from them about why those specific dreams seem to be more intresting than other things to you...

I don't randomly tell people about my dream journal, but if it comes up in conversation, I have no problems telling anyone about it. Me and one of my friends read each other's dream journal one day actually. We were both laughing at funny shit on almost every page.

I wouldn't talk about my dream journal to someone who is unenthusiastic about lucid dreaming, or dreaming in general. They already have no interest in the subject, so I see no reason to inform them about your dream related activities. My ex-girlfriend claimed to not have dreams, and thought I was wasting my time with such "pointless things" Every time I even mentioned a cool dream I had, she'd get annoyed with me.

It depends on people's level of interest.

okay, maybe "all your friends" was a bad idea, because I have some friends who think that lucid dream is really stupid, and I live in a dream world...

I'll take the opportunity that this thread doesn't feature a journal in itself, but is within the subject, and also that's a recent thread so I don't revive something unlikeable, to ask a question about the proper place to post without starting yet another thread that might be out of place.

So, I wanna start a thread about tools to help keeping a dream journal, and have no clue where in the forum that would be appropriate. It seems here would be the best place, but at the same time seems restricted to journals proper.

      Any directions are greatly appreciated.

Actually, I posted this thread when I first joined, and I thought that the Dream Journal thread was more general, but, in fact, it's only supposed to be for journal entries. So, as for your thread, I would post it in the "General Lucid Discussion" area.

I tell my family about my dream journal and lucid dreams (or at least my parents, my dad;s really into all this sort of thing and my mom just kind of acts as a sounding board for if I had a really interesting dream. My sister couldn't care less.) As for friends, I don;t really have any friends that I;m in contact with in a capacity to converse about a DJ or LDs. I've been wanting to find a... Whatever it;s called, from this book I;m reading, someone else really interested in LDs to converse about them.

If I dream specifically about somebody, and it's interesting or really weird I'll tell them about it. Lucid dreams are fun to talk about cause you're usually in control
Every now and then I'll get a really personal dream that I wouldn't want to share with anyone though.
I've got my dream journal open to the public, but it's pretty anonymous here.
