I'm going to start this off with a few dreams that have been the true beginning of this DJ.

Jan 18.

Last night, I set my alarm for 4.5hrs after I fell asleep so that it would wake me up in the middle of REM (hopefully).

Well, I awoke this morning from an intense dream. I don't remember waking up to that first alarm, just the one set to get me up for work. But the dream was... wierd.

I was with a group of people, a band of rebels. A corrupt military government had taken over and we were trying to get away. Most of the setting took place on the property in Vanderpool, but things were twisted into craziness, making it more like a huge place with things being so different.

We were trying to climb up this vertical wall of rock and vegetation. Somehow, everyone else had gotten through this hole but when it came to be my turn, it was way too small. So I decided to climb around it and up over the side of the wall. The problem was that at a nearby tree, there was a guard sitting with a gun, keeping watch over the area. I climbed over and he saw me. He didn't shout, but just started to take aim. It was then that I shot him.

My gun wasn't normal. It reminded me of the guns we use for laser tag, except way smaller and it shot real bullets. The problem was that the bullets didn't travel as fast as they should and I had to wait a couple of seconds before I could shoot again, but I had unlimited ammo.

So I shot the guard. That's when things got real crazy.

Other military guys came out of the house on the top of the hill and were running after us through the trees. There was a lot of shooting, a lot of getting shot, and things just seemed to be going downhill. Near the road, I got caught by myself. I saw them coming with their knives, so instead of allowing to get myself caught, I tried to shoot myself in the head, an attempt then to end the dream. But it didn't happen.

Then their military reinforcements came in on the road driving some big Humvees. There was something going on, and then something crazy happened. One of the drivers, a big dog for the bad guys, turned on them. He ran down the bad guys that had me. I got in, along with a couple of others from my side and we high-tailed it out of there.

Then the wierdest thing happened in the humvee. I remembered to do a reality check, trying to figure out if it was a dream or not. I sat in the middle and in front of me was the console, with a digital clock. I looked at it, and it said 6:37 clear as effing day. It freaked me out a little bit. I was like, wait, I should be dreaming, but why the eff can I read that? Because of the fact that I could read the digital clock, it made me fall back into the dream, thinking I was in reality. A little scary because of all the things going on, but I couldn't deny it at that point.

One of the people in the truck beside me happened to be my lover and we were so happy that we were alive, even if it was fleeting. Oddly enough, I ended up giving him fellatio right there, but he came soon. This was followed with some furious finger-banging on his part, but the funny thing is that I sort of watched that like a person behind a screen, not really seeing it, more of just the sounds, and it wasn't really me it was happening to at that moment.

Then we were at this house, and things were getting hostile again. I just remember my lover getting stabbed in the chest. I was holding him when I woke up.


Jan 20.

I remember just a part. Someone (me or my sister) came through my door under the blanket I had nailed up the night before. I thought/asked/wondered how easy/hard it was to come in from under the blanket.


Jan 21.

At first, I thought I couldn't remember my dreams last night, but it wasn't until I was at work that I remembered what happened.

I was in a setting, kind of like work. But it dealt with fish too.

There's this guy at work, this older Mexican dude named Pedro who's always asking me if I love him, and he calls me his amor and carina. It's a little creepy but I laugh and smile, and tell him that I love him just like most of the other guys at work. Anyways, I remember in the dream, he got me a fish. It was a grey slimy catfish, completely whole, and dead. I just remember trying to avoid him the rest of the dream.


Jan 24.

I was disappointed that I couldn't remember any of my dreams last night, so I slept for an extra hour and half this morning to get something in.

I was is some sort of classroom setting, doing art things, I think. This dream character came in that I tried to help at first, but he/she just kept going against what I was trying to tell them so I got really frustrated and left.

Then everything changed. I was on some sort of reality show that was taking place in an office sort of setting. We were all competing against each other for something, but I don't remember what or why or how.

Then I was trying to catch this bus. I remember it coming to a crossroads and it went the wrong way, so I got off, walked back, and caught the next bus that was going the right way. I ended up sitting next to this annoyed-looking chick, who got off soon after. Then Paula Abdul sits down next to me. I start talking about the show I'm on and how she's the judge. I think I was trying to get her help, because I couldn't sing. Then she said that these two other characters would have to be voted off the next time around. Then she moved to the seat behind me, where a professor of mine was sitting. They were obviously friends, and my professor recognized me, trying to figure out what class she had taught. I told her I was still a linguistics major and I had just chosen psychology as my minor. She screwed up her face and just said, "Eh." like she wasn't impressed.

Then I was thrown into this Dungeons and Dragons type of video game... but it was real. I was a human girl, flying around in this thing that looked like a coconut with something hanging off of it. I eventually fell/got caught in something. I tried to fix my flying machine, but it just didn't cut it. Then these dragons start coming for me through the dark forest. They were huge, towering over the trees. I think there were like two or three. I had no way of fighting them, so I ran into this hovel that was nearby. There were tunnels that led to rooms underground. I think it was an orc house. A couple of dwarf players came down with me, but were generally just laughing at me cuz I think I had lost my pants. The orc families were down there and just kinda like "WTF?". I went to hide in the roaring fireplace. I think I almost became lucid cuz I remember thinking to myself, "This could be a dream... or it could not be, and I'll just fuck everything up." Anyways, so I hide in the fire, unhurt by it. Things got wierd in there, so I left, but the only way out was through this dirt tunnel that led up and out of the ground. I scrabbled through that and came out. I don't remember the dragons being out there, but the other players were generally laughing at my misfortune.

Then I woke up.

Jan 25.

I just remembered the beginning of the dream. Or at least a part that came before it all. I was with Ty and we were walking down this dirt road in the woods. We ended up following this fence that ended at a river. There, we found Jonathan and Ashley sat in the shadows behind him. We asked him the way back to the road and he pointed across the river, saying we were on the right track. I didn't believe him because the road was still behind us and I didn't want to cross the river and get wet.

Then I was in front of our house. I think I had been smoking pot, cuz a cop drove by and I got a little scared cuz I didn't want him to smell it. Anyways, he ended up cruising through the exotic ranch that's across the road from the house. We watched as a bunch of other cops descended on this goth couple that were hiding in the field. It was the same goth couple I had seen in the newspaper in real life, the ones where the girl says she is like a dog, and the guy leads her around on a leash. So the cops busted them and took them away, and I wasn't worried about smoking pot anymore once they left.

I was in an old house. I was with my family, but it wasn't really them. We had a bottle of old school wine, a gallon jar of homemade stuff we had bought a long time ago. I drank most of it and it was the most awesome wine ever. Much like cran-grape juice.

But then wierd things started happening. There was a little boy around 3. He was laying near a wall with a curtain on it. A random hand came from out of the wall and sliced open his neck. Everyone started freaking out. There was a hole in the wall behind him. We realized that there was someone or something crawling through the old holes in the house, trying to get to us. There was something about a rock with the number 3 carved on it that was really sharp. I don't know if it had been used as the weapon, but I remember kicking it under a bed.

So things are going crazy. People are trying to board up holes in the walls, and I'm just thinking it's all futile cuz the house is so old and holely.

These two girls that I figured were my sisters had run down a hall and were in a closet, just tearing at the walls, basically being hysterical and trying to save themselves. I was completely wierded out by all of this.

Then I found myself standing on the bank of a huge river. I realized that I was on the Arroyo River in the Rio Grande Valley. It was basically a small neighborhood of small house boats, with numbers on the docks. I was at #32 when I realized my parents were there. They were moving a big storage house thing and a boat into place. They said they had decided to move down here because of money reasons. I got angry because this wasn't where they wanted to be. They had always talked about living in the Hill Country and all of a sudden they wanted to move back to the valley? I got pissed off at them and drove off through the neighborhood.

I was driving Ty's El Camino because I remember there were stupid kids running across the road and I wanted to honk at them. I was able to cuz I had just heard Ty had installed the horn. But no one would move. So I drove fast and crazy through this neighborhood.

Then I saw my cousin Chelsea. She was outside with a sort of Easy-Bake-Oven type thing and beside her were a bunch of little snack things that weren't ready yet, but I ate a couple anyways.

And then I woke up.


Jan 29.

I dreamed that I was in front of a computer, playing a game and losing.

I remember I kept thinking about James and others, then they showed up.

I was afraid, so I acted like I hadn't noticed that they were there.

Then James and Helki came and sat down beside me. I remember James smiling, and he held my hand, put an arm around my waist, and rubbed his socked foot on my own.

I remember feeling relieved and happy.

I'm not sure if it was this dream, or another, or real life, but there was a moment that I asked myself "Am I dreaming?" I then looked at the clock on my computer to tell. It was wierd, cuz I kept looking back at it. The time kept changing, and then it would be totally blank, and changing again. For some reason, I freaked a little bit because I tried to think of what was happening as a dream and change it, but I couldn't and so I realized that this must be real. Was it? I can't even remember now...

Jan 30.

I was in Utopia (but not really) walking the streets. There were several events that happened, but I can't remember the sequence, so I'm just going to throw them out there. I was trying to fill up my truck which was in a garage. There was no gas tank, I was just filling up the truck bed with gasoline. Once it was full, I started thinking, wow, any sort of spark and I'm done. Then I tried to get in and there was a spark from static electricity. The next thing I know, there's a huge roar and flames start shooting up from the gas. I ducked and covered, but it was just getting worse, so I ran out of there.

Another scene: I was walking the streets of Utopia again. This time, there were a couple of people wandering aimlessly. It was almost like they were the living dead. Just blank. I went up to one and realized it was Jack. He ignored me and I watched him walk off, sad that he didn't even care to talk to me (as usual).

Another, this time I'm sure it came after the Jack-sighting. I was on Main St. No cars anywhere. Then in the sky, there was this plane thing. It was big enough for two people, but it was compact, no big wings like a plane. And it ran on electricity. Two of these kids were flying it, but they were doing all this crazy stupid shit, like they couldn't quite control. I remember watching them, wondering when the moment would come when they would finally hit something and explode. But they never exploded. I think I woke up just as they started damaging it.

Feb 03.

I dreamt that a salesman was trying to sell my boyfriend and I something. It wasn't very clear. I woke up and asked my boyfriend if he had gone to the other room to cheat on me with another girl. This was odd because I hadn't meant to say anything like that, but it was residual of the dream, so I explained the dream to him, but it was all mixed-up by then.

Also, in a nap that same day, I was playing laser tag. It went on for a while, so I was quite astonished to find out when I woke up it had only been 5-minutes.
