      Sifting mists toward Avalon

      Two nights ago

      Only vaguely aware I was in a dream but I think if the scene had been different, I would have been more aware of it or lucid (It was somewhat frightening and I was focused on not sinking). It was dark and I was skimming very quickly across the water, backwards, with no craft of any kind, just me in a standing position. Suddenly aware of not sinking, my mind immediately recognized that it was my faith keeping me from doing so. From the left in front of me, someone speaks to me encouraging me to stay focused upon my faith and I will be okay. A split second of fear over takes me but I fight it and continue along safely. It seems that someone was to my right as well, observing but it felt more like an extension of myself rather than a separate entity. Other things happen but I dont recall them.

      Wrote music lucidly

      After taking Sebastian outside this morning I laid back down with the intent to focus on music as I fell back asleep for a while. It worked but only briefly. I fell into a rhythm that was fantastic and had elements of melody in the tuning of the bongos. I dont remember specifics but the element of melody and the way it was done was definitely a unique approach...one that I will experiment with. I wish I could remember the rest but I am delighted that it was a lucid music writing experience. I want to do this all the time. My creativity is so unrestricted in this realm and I do not want to depend on these rare and valuable songwriting dreams to happen on their own, with no warning. I want control like I had this morning.
