The first part of my dream involved something about Homestar Runner losing his hat. It was pretty lame. Then I was driving around treacherously snowy roads with my friends while trying to change the CD player. Amazingly I never caused myself to crash, although I did spin off the road at one point. When getting out of the car Kerrie threw her arms around me and said “I love you Mark!” Later my house was hosting some sort of family summer camp. They kept fighting over the Wii Remotes. I ended up talking with a short older man leaning on a cane. I made a comment about him only being five feet but then apologized as I realized he’d had to live with it his whole life. After I explained to him that he was a nice man he broke down in my arms and cried. “But I’ve never liked myself”, he sobbed. Later in the dream he was also blind. My family and I went shopping with him; again he cried in my arms. I was a little embarrassed as it was in the middle of an electronics store. “That’s okay, I think deep down inside most people don’t like who they are either, they just never admit it to others”, I said. My sister walked over and handed me a copy of The Return of the King, saying she had bought it for me to complete the set. Then as we left the mall, my blind friend broke away and sprinted across an 8 lane highway. After a few close calls with some trucks, he managed to reach the other side unharmed. I exclaimed “D*mn!”, when I saw this, shocked at what he had done. My mother then spent the rest of the dream berating me on my language but completely unconcerned with the blind man’s actions.
