I guess I did sleep. I tried to WILD, but didn't let my awareness drop enough, so it took a long time to get to sleep. I didn't think I slept at all, but then I remembered these 3 dreams so I guess I did. It seemed like I was awake from 1:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. when I heard my mom get in the shower.
Dream Premonition - I'm at my ex-girlfriend's house, outside in her yard. All of the sudden I see something fall out her bedroom window. I can't tell what it was. I go inside, and I hear her tell her mom, "Mom, Tookie (her cat) died, so I threw him out the window." I then feel sad because I liked Tookie, and I hadn't seen him in nearly 3 months.
Command and Conquer - I'm at my ex-girlfriend's house again, and I remember having the previous dream. I'm about to ask Steff if her cat is okay, because I had a dream where he died. But before I get the chance to, I see Tookie walk by, so I pet him. He seems happy to see me and rubs against my leg. I go up to Steff's room and ask her if she wants to play command and conquer generals. She says she does, so I go to find an extra disk. I go into another room where my computer is, and find the expansion disk. I think it'll work for the original game, so I bring it over, but she already has it running without the disk. I go back to my computer and create a few maps with snow terrain. She doesn't want to play a winter map, so I randomly generate one without any snow, with 2 huge mountain ranges cutting across the map, separating each starting area with only 2 paths to each other's base. There is an open area in the middle, and on top of each mountain is a plateau with a small path leading up to it. I think it'll be a great spot for a few airfields.
We start the game and quickly I have a decent sized group of tanks and minimal defenses. I send the tanks up the right side of the map and find that side of her base un-defended. I destroy a few power plants and a barracks before she sends in a shit load of jeeps with machine guns. I stop attacking the buildings hoping that the tanks will auto target the jeeps and make quick work of them. But they don't and I lose a tank. Then I focus fire each of the jeeps, but there are too many and I lose all the tanks. I scroll back down to my base just in time to see a nuke destroy most of it, leaving what it didn't destroy in flames. I try to have one of my units repair some of the buildings, but the radiation kills them all.
We decide to play again on the same map. This time I spread out my base more so I wouldn't be as devastated by a nuke, and built a few airfields as well. After a while of just focusing on my base without attacking, I am nuked. But the losses are minimal, so I nuke her base, which isn't spread out, destroying a lot of it. Then I send in a bunch of migs to finish off a few buildings. Somehow she managed to keep things together and she sent a group of hummers with machine guns down into my base. I wait for the migs to reload and then take care of them having only lost 1 building. Then I send a construction dozer up the trail to try to get to the top of the mountain, but the trail from my base leads to the mountain above her base. "Even better" I think, as I fill the plateau with airfields and anti-aircraft guns. Shortly after finishing this, I notice I have lost all power, so I check what happened and I was nuked again. I nuke her base, then have the migs do air strike after air strike, first on her anti-aircraft guns, then on everything else.
After the game, we're in her room with Tookie. He's laying partially under the covers and doesn't look so well. I pet him and he looks happier. He tries to rub his head on my hand a few times, but doesn't have the strength. Then he stops moving completely and dies. I can't believe he died. I get really sad and start to cry. Steff asks why I'm crying and I tell her, "Tookie just died." She tells me, "So. You don't have to cry about it." I don't think she knows that me and Tookie were friends.
We then go to her living room where her mom is sitting in a chair, visibly upset. I tell her how sorry I am that Tookie died, and give her a hug. Then we all talked about something, or did something for a while, but I don't remember what it was.
Bicycle Reunion - I wake up and decide to drive to my friend's house, because he said I could park his car in his spot (he doesn't have a car). Before I leave, I notice that I have a really long group of 3 hairs hanging in front of my face, at least 4 inches longer than the rest. I pull them out thinking, "how did I not notice this until now?" My plan was to go downtown and find out about getting a parking pass for UVM.
The next thing I know, I'm at my friend (Andrew's) house, walking down a hallway. I see his room mate and ask him if it's okay if I park in Andrew's spot. He tells me it is. I don't know where Andrew is, but his door is closed and I don't want to wake him up, so I go out into the driveway. I don't see my car anywhere, but walking further down, I see that it's in the far spot, behind other cars.
I cross the street and get on my bike, which was leaned up against a telephone pole. I start to ride down the sidewalk but there are 2 other bikes in the way. I almost hit them, but at the last second, slam on the front brakes, stopping instantly, and almost flipping over the front wheel. I carefully navigate in between the two bikes, bumping into one, but I hold it up and re-balance it before I go. Then I'm riding down a huge hill, on the sidewalk. There are some people on the sidewalk that are giving me weird looks. I then notice there is a bike lane in the road, so I decide to give it a try. It is really wide, and there are a ton of people riding bikes on it. People are going both directions on it, which makes it hard not to hit anyone. I'm trying to avoid hitting the oncoming traffic, as well as the oncoming bikes, while passing all the slow people going the same direction as me. It's quite an intense ride.
I turn left and go down another road with a bike lane. Three bikes are coming straight at me, so I go to the right, nearly getting hit by a bus as they go by. Then I see my dad stopped in the bike lane, on a bike with my baby half sister on the back in one of those baby seats they make. I'm surprised to see him and yell, "Hi dad!" He doesn't hear my so I yell again, "Dad!!!" He looks over and is just as surprised to see me. Then my half brother Noah rides up and stops his bike next to the road, on a grassy hill. We all move to that spot and sit down. "What are you doing?" I ask my dad. "Oh, we're just going to bed bath and beyond." he says. I ask him why, and he tells me, "I have a $749 gift card to bed bath and beyond, that means a year's supply of clothes for everyone (referring to his 6 kids)." I don't know what to say to that, so I just tell him, "That's cool, I have a total of $11 both on me and in the bank."
My step mom pulls up in front of us and tells us to get moving, so we all get back on the bikes and start to ride again. This time I'm following my dad, who is going so slow, that I can barely ride my bike that slow. I watch as he does 1/4 of a pedal, then coasts for 30 seconds. The whole time, I'm swerving back and forth, trying not to tip over, and pedaling backwards to try to stay balanced. We get to his house, and I hear an obnoxious phone ringing. I look over and my step mom pulls out 2 cordless house phones. She looks at one, not knowing what to do, so I hold my hand out and she gives it to me. Then she looks at the other one and it stops ringing. The one she handed me isn't even on. I give it back to her and she takes both batteries out. In the time it took for that to happen, my dad already made it to his driveway, 50 ft away and is now playing with my half sister with a really loud and annoying musical toy. I just watched, and tried to figure out what could possibly be so annoyingly loud, and yet still so fun for a baby, but couldn't tell what it was.
Then I'm back in my room, having no memory of how I got back, and also not questioning how I got back. I suddenly notice that I have another group of hairs that is really really long, hanging in front of my face. I remember the previous group that I pulled out, and this one was a lot bigger, involved more hairs, and was longer. I don't know how I didn't notice it earlier. I go to pull it out as I did with the other one, but it just yanks at my scalp with no success. I pull again, harder, but it hurts a lot trying to pull that many hairs out. I grab half of them and pull again, but the pain is even greater. I go to the bathroom and look in the mirror to see what's going on. A row of hairs, 2 inches long just above my ear, are all wound together into this 1 ft long strand that falls just to the right of my right eye. I grab 3 of them, and give another pull, but my head is sore from all the previous attempts, and this only makes it worse so I decide to leave it for another time.
