The night between October 15th and 16th
Untitled
I'm inside this huge dome-like building with an artificial sea and beach. I think I was there with my family and we went for a swim. There were enormous waves there. I think I had a contest with people from my school and an odd mixture of video game characters (I've forgotten who, though) on who could get highest up on one of the waves.
I couldn't be bothered getting up and writing this dream down after I had it so the details have faded. The dream was extremely vivid though, as were all the other dreams I had this night. I've recently been having more vivid dreams than before, possibly because of my acne medication or the cortisone that goes along with it? I certainly hope it isn't the latter since I only have two weeks' worth more of that stuff whereas the former might give me vivid dreams for months.

The quest for the Chrono Trigger
I'm in an art gallery of some sort. The room I'm in is cramped and branches of to several other rooms. There is a spiral staircase in the middle. My art teacher is present. I take a look on the paintings on the walls and somehow I know they all depict some kind of emotion. (you tell me what emotion a flower vase on a table is supposed to represent <.<) As I scan through the paintings, I spot one that I somehow know is my own: it's a black-and-white picture of a hallway seemingly drawn with a pencil. There is a bureau leaning against a wall and a mirror above it and at the end of a hallway and an old-fashioned oak door at the end. Naturally, since I'm the artist, I know the drawing is about loneliness, although why, I don't know.
I've apparently had enough and walk up the spiral staircase. I don't know what happened inbetween, but the next thing I know, I'm running for my life through our backyard. I hide behind the empty gate waiting for my pursuer and it's pitch-black outside. I want to slam the gate in the face of whoever is after me, but I'm too slow and fail to do so so I just make a run for it. As I run down the street, I take a look behind me and there's a watch dog after me it quickly catches up with me, but it doesn't seem aggressive at all, nor does it seem happy. The dog is showing absolutely no body signs, which is very odd for a dog and so I realize I must be dreaming. As soon as I come to this conclusion, however, the dream scene fades out and suddenly, I'm standing face-to-face with my pursuer in a non-lucid state. He was a short- rather chubby man, but his face was covered. Next to me is another person whose appearance I don't remember, but I think she was Kid from Chrono Cross. The man mocks us because apparently he had fooled us somehow to which Kid replies: "And you trust just anyone who calls themself a radical dreamer." The man seems shocked by this reply and starts digging behind his ear, apparently searching for something, but to no avail. I glance at Kid and she seems to be holding the Chrono Trigger. (or the Time Egg or whatever you want to call it, anyone who has played Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross knows what I'm talking about) Suddenly it struck me that this is what we had been after all along and I get a feeling of accomplishment.
Suddenly the dream fades and I'm back in my bed in the clutches of sleep paralysis, something which is not all that uncommon for me after lucid experiences. (even very brief ones) I decide now is a perfect time to try out a DEILD and so I begin imagining myself back in my dream, but I just can't seem to fall asleep. Finally I get up and leave my room. I go to the kitchen to get myself a drink and as I pass the dining room, I notice there's a plate of hotdogs and a glass of strawberry soup (I seriously tend to drink that stuff in the morning, so sue me) there for me. As I sit down to take a bite of the first hotdog, I wake up for real.
Well, this dream sure was trippy. It's a shame that ever since I've been consciously trying to have lucid dreams, my mind usually boots me out of the lucid state before I even have the chance to try stabilizing the dream. Only two of the lucid dreams I've had since starting my dream journal has actually lasted longer than two seconds max and excitement definitely isn't the reason this happens to me as I've had at least 6 lucid dreams before I even knew what they were called and all of those lasted long enough for me to actually do something. Oh well, if I keep getting moments of lucidity as frequently as I have since starting my journal, I'm bound to have some good ones, right?

The concert of a lifetime
I'm in a huge crowded room. The place is full of people who seem to be between the ages of 7 and 15. I've never seen the place before, but I know it's in my school. There is a stage there and a young man in his twenties is up on the stage with a guitar. He's playing these really simple children's songs... and failing miserably at it. As his ungainly performance comes to an end, he gets up and apologizes for how badly he played and said in his defense: "I'm not that good with riffs."
I wake up again. I look at the clock and it's about 8:45 in the morning so I decide it's time to get up. I even did a reality check and passed, but I still have an odd feeling, but I dismiss it as paranoia after the first false awakening, but just in case I tell myself that if this is a dream, something unexpected will happen when I open my door. As I reach for the handle of the door of my room, I suddenly become paralyzed and the next thing I know, I'm staring at the ceiling of my room. The paralysis wore of after a matter of seconds.
Not much to say about this dream, but I had my first two false awakenings this night, which is just mind-blowing. Heh, maybe I should try chaining false awakenings the next time I become lucid. To be honest, I wasn't the least bit disappointed to find out I could have become lucid if I had just been more thorough with my reality checks due to how awesome it is to get up from bed only to wake up right after. =P
