I tried more WILDing with no success. It seems I always fall into a non conscious sleep, then wake up just fifteen minutes later if I try. Last night I remembered one fairly long and weird dream. You can tell I've been playing too many video games lately, because once again I occasionally thought I was playing one. However, by thinking it's a video game, at least I'm recognizing that what is happening is not real, so I'm getting closer to lucidity.
Sunday 1/18/09 The Evil of an Organized "Google"
In the beginning of this dream, I was going to go to sleep in my bed like normal (in fact, now that I think of it, there's a good chance this was after a failed WILD). Then, as I was dozing off, three girls came in. They weren't like the normal kind, these ones had muscles. Huge muscles. Let's just say that I didn't try to mess with them as they took my bed for themselves. I now saw, in third person, that me and a two other guys that were supposed to be my friends, were trying to fall asleep on the carpet, but the roof was leaking so much it was like it was raining indoors. We had to go find a new place to sleep. We got out through the window, two stories up. It was not raining, but I didn't notice this in the dream. We held onto a windowsill, feet dangling over a pretty large fall. Then, we moved to the left, even having to "hop" over from one windowsill to another. My friends ran down into the next building, but I could see my mom in the window. I couldn't let her see me running away (and apparently I wasn't going to tell her that my bed was stolen either). I got down into some plants, making sure to stay low and in the shadows, because the light from inside was illuminating quite a bit of my hiding spot. I barely lifted my head to look at her, and when she turned away from the window I instantly took off and ran. I was disappointed to see that the way I was running was lit up with a very bright, florescent light, but I didn't my best to keep low and in the darker areas.
When I got into the next building, I saw my best friend's mom. I think there was a scene change, because I was back in my room with the girls again. I realized I still had not slept a bit. I looked out the window, and almost instantly the dark gave way to a pretty, orange/yellow light. I had to climb from the window sill apparently, but now instead of two stories high, I seem to have been three, maybe even four stories up. I once again "hopped" to another windowsill, and noticed I had no other choice than to drop (or use the stairs in the house, but my stupid dream self hadn't figured that out). I let go, and after a brief acceleration seemed to reach a terminal velocity of only about fifteen miles per hour. I set my hand against the wall as I was falling, in hope that would slow me down more. I landed safely, amazed at how simple it was. I took a good look at the house. It was massive; parts of it were four stories high. I looked at where I had fallen from, and it was now only two stories.
The scene sort of switched, and I was in a Costco. I "pressed start" and saved the "game." There was a man I saw on the opposite side singing a crazy song, and he apparently wanted to kill me. Again in last nights "this is a video game" mentality, I picked up a cardboard box to guard me from bullets, laughing at how it would actually probably work. I slowly advanced toward him, and realized I didn't have a weapon a little too late. He grabbed me, and I had absolutely no defense; this guy must have been 400 pounds. In true video game style, after a brief shaking, he just let me go. Out of my pocket I then pulled out a weird little weapon. I don't really know what it looked like, but it shot out a perfect, white beam of light onto my opponent. I saw his health bar, by virtue of a white circle filled with grey. I needed to white out the whole circle, starting with the edges until they met in the center. It took very little time for me to win. He "died" by pretty much running away and vanishing. I heard him singing some more crazy songs, but soon only saw him, as a child, walk by me. I knew him! He was one of my friends. Finally feeling some emotion in my dreams, I started to cry, and wonder why the hell he had turned against me (how he got so fat didn't cross my mind).
I was then showed the reason. Apparently, this guy had some weird disease that caused all his thoughts, emotions, and so on to be stored in little colored bits of candy, just like Smarties only a little bigger. They used to all be just some jumbled mess in a jar, which was supposed to be stable, and so he was like a normal human being. One day, he discovered "Google," some invisible entity that would actually organize all the candies in a line which he could command. The candies could now trail like a snake behind him. Ironically, this made it possible for the "evil" traits of him to reproduce, until it completely consumed his vulnerable candy mind. Honestly, I don't completely understand the story either, but it made enough sense in the dream.
Finally, I reached a final point in the dream in which the scene switched and I had saved a different planet from an extremely bad case of pollution. It was so polluted, that people heating their houses via firewood, would actually create enough heat that was trapped, that the planet was warming up to a dangerous degree. Of course, I didn't realize that if the planet was warming up dangerously, nobody would need to heat their houses in the first place! Anyway, when this was over, all the people were happy and started to fly B17 Bombers. I also had control of one of the planes, via an invisible keyboard. Forget WASD, I used the arrow keys. The plane could do barrel rolls, and other aerobatic maneuvers, clearly this "game" wasn't very realistic. I wondered where everybody would land, and was shown a video of people crashing through windows and landing in their houses.
