      Smile Dairyman's Dream Journal

      Welcome!

I'm currently rebuilding this DJ. Meanwhile, I have kept the old dreams with the old color code.

      I hope you enjoy it.

      Smile

      Extremely Boring LD.

      Lucidity: Semi
      Method: DILD

We were driving down this road that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, with lots of round-a-bouts (obviously the council where I live built it), so I decided to the nose pinch RC. I sorta knew I was dreaming, but it didn't click to me. Suddenly I'm on the road laying down, trying to fly, but kept failing. Then I'm back in the car, and we arrive at a petrol station. As we fill up the car with Regular fuel I wake up.

      Race

      Lucidity: None

I met someone I knew from a flight simulator online, and I had met him in my dream. We held a (swimming?) race with other people and I got to the top of a bar somehow. That's all I remember. Then I wake up, very early, so I go to sleep again and think about what I want to dream about.

      Gas conversion

      Lucidity: None

We were driving down a road (again, thats TWICE in a night! I should stop boring my friends with stuff about cars ) and we stopped at this big garage/shed/warehouse/whatever it was, and got our car running on Liquefied Petroleum Gas. While it was been converted we went shopping and when we got back to the car, we tried to start it but it wouldn't start. A friend suggested that I use petrol to start it up instead of gas. I flick it over to petrol but it wouldn't start. I wake up.

      Mushroom Cloud

      Lucidity: None

I'm at my old house, and suddenly I notice this huge mushroom cloud on a hill. I get in my car and head out of the suburb. The scene changes all of a sudden and I'm at a pet store, with a friggin' pushbike, still trying to escape from a darn mushroom cloud that doesn't seem to be doing any harm. I try to get out of there fast, but when I go through a gate something tells me that I shouldn't go through it. I instantly wake up.

WOO HOO!!! I did it! I ended the dry spell and had another DILD last night!

      End of My Dry Spell

I was in my house, sitting down doing nothing. Somebody knocked on the door and was trying to sell us their product - A bottle of deodorant. She started spraying it everywhere around the house and telling us it get's rid of all smells. We go into the office and somebody just marches in and steals some documents from the desk. I follow him back to another room in our house and I saw them using our computer, hacking into it and installing a virus on it! So I log on to my computer upstairs, try and hack into it via the network but keep failing, so in the end I give up and go outside.

I go for a walk around the neighborhood, crossing a busy road on the way. I'm told to come back by someone but there seems to be a lot of cars coming up and fast, so I run across and start walking back. One of the cars started rolling and spinning into a neighbors yard unexpectedly, so I do a reality check and it passes, then I realize I'm dreaming. But suddenly, I'm in my bed and I do a reality check, I can still breathe through my nose with it plugged. But, I forget to stabilize the dream and so I can't open my eyes! I then wake up.

YES!! YES YES YES!!! The end of a dry spell!!

Had a dream last night, only remembered a few vague details since my body moved by itself when I woke up.

Monday, 30 March 2009 - Very "Short" Dream

I'm on Dreamviews looking at some of the boards, and it looked a lot different. Suddenly I'm outside and it's very cloudy and hazy. I wake up.

      Cool

Please note: Before I entered the dream, I autosuggested to myself that I would lucid dream, so it's sort of a MILD/DILD combined.

      Learning how to Fly!

I'm walking into this hotel and I looked like the guy from the Pink Panther (Clouseau). I walk into an elevator and press the top button which had the number "3" on it. Somebody gets off at level 2 and I keep going to a level higher than level 3. That's weird. I go back down to level 2 and exit the elevator and walk into a room. I'm looking around and I see one of my relatives in the room, lying down. I walk up to her and keep looking around thinking "This place looks familiar" and then I realized that it was my bedroom, inside a hotel, so this must be a dream!

I walk outside the room and I'm back in my house, walking down the stairs and then I start trying to fly. I'm certain it's a dream because a pillar we have down there is replaced with a paint can. I get about 1 meter off the ground and start falling really slowly. Suddenly I see my pet rooster is about to attack me. I put my foot up to stop him and instead he pecks at it. (What a bastard!) I then realize that in one other dream I had, I pretended that I was swimming in air to start flying. I did this and started flying without falling! I get down, another relative of mine is bringing bouncing this huge red ball around the house. After that I wake up.

      9 April 2009 - In a Plant Nursery

I'm at this huge plant nursery, walking around with a plant with red flowers in my hand. I'm walking away from the counter trying to hide the plant for some strange reason when the lady behind asks what species it is. I ignore her and start running to a shed next to the counter, where someone behind yet another counter was giving out drinks. I keep walking past rows of green, lush plants and find myself doing a reality check. I pinch my nose and could breathe, so I knew this was a dream.

I quickly stabilize the dream by rubbing my hands together and spinning my body (although I had to figure out how to do that) and then I remembered one my dream goals, to fly an F-16 Fighting Falcon! I told myself that when I turn around, I will see it, get in and fly it. I turn around, nothing. Then I start imagining it been there, again, nothing.
Suddenly, I see nothing but a white ceiling and a incandescent light bulb in the middle of it.

Note to self: Don't get so pissed when you can't do something in an LD.

And that brings the LD Count to five!

      Them's the brakes!!

I've finally gotten around to updating my dream journal!

      21 April 2009 - Subconscious Train Simulator (Version AK47)

I'm at a half-completed house near a highway walking around. I decide to get into the car and drive onto the highway and then suddenly, I'm holding a gun, asking someone how to use it and shoot.

So they tell me and I have a go at it. After a while I'm suddenly in the cab of a train in what seemed to be a train simulator. I tell myself "Oh, this is the new beta version of the train simulator on my computer, right?". So with my gun, I start shooting the panel, which lifts me off my chair and into open air, so I shoot the OHLE above the train which orange light, but no harm is done to it. Then I'm in this room (I guess "Concrete jungle" would be a good name for it too) where the train ends up derailing so I shoot that too.

Suddenly the train is fixed and I'm inside it, driving it. I pull back on it's "non-visible" lever and it goes REALLY FAST. So I try to apply brakes by pushing the lever forward, but the brakes are barely working!! I try the emergency brakes but that doesn't work either. I realize that I must be coming close to the station so I panic. Someone appears on the wind screen and says "I see your brakes are failing". DUH!!! So after over-shooting the station it finally comes to a stop. I drive it forward but the tracks have changed all of a sudden. I look for the speedometer but there is none, only a block of text that tells me the velocity of the train. (How useful!) I hit the brakes one more time and wake up.

Hmm. A train simulator and an FPS combined. Interesting. Although I'm not a fan of those FPS games.

      Red face

I was kinda reluctant to write this down on my DJ because of how embarrassing it was when I woke up from it. But for the hell of it, I'm writing it down. My recall royally sucks, no doubt about that. Time to get on those Omega 3 pills and start writing down dreams again!!

Notes have been added to new entries too.

      27 April 2009 - Dancing at a Restaurant

      Notes:
      Sleep Quality: Poor
      Dream Lucidity: 0%
      Recall: Poor

I'm lying in my bed, using my imagination (in a good way ) like I would before I found out about lucid dreaming. I imagine been somewhere near a boat harbour with a train yard running along side. I decide I would go find my friend. I find her and my subconcious decides it's time to take over for me. I remember been at another place but I forgot what it was like so I'm leaving this part out.

Suddenly I'm at a restaurant (the same one as I went to on the same day I had this dream) and I'm dancing with my friend! (WTF?) I remember the song been one of Michael Jackson's songs but forgot the title of it. I literally feel the dream fading out with the song and wake up.

      Adding my first LD (finally).

      Date Unknown - First LD

No notes since I could not remember them.

I was in a tree at my house, looking at a nest with random letters written on top of it. Suddenly I know I'm dreaming and become lucid! Yes, I did it! Though I was teleported back to the dining room in my house. I felt a tingle of excitement run down my body as I walked outside to see if I could fly. I went near my swimming pool, lied down on my belly, and started floating instantly!

I wanted to see if I could breathe in the water. So I bent over, put my arms forward, touching each other (this is how I do it in real life in the Summer when it's scorching hot and need to cool down), jumped off and DIVED! And sure enough, I could breathe!

But, all that excitement, flying and swimming and forgetting to stabilize forces me to leave the dreamworld and enter the real world.

3 May 2009 - Attempting May 2009 Basic Lucid Task

I am downstairs at my house doing a reality check. I pinch my nose tight and I could breathe but I have to REALLY suck it up to be able to.

After a moment of thinking, I come to the conclusion that this must be a dream
(If I followed Edward De Bono's CAF (Consider All Factors) there probably would've been more time for what I was doing next). I then remember "Oh crap! The lucid task! I've got to look for a flower".

I look almost everywhere I could think of downstairs but did not think to look OUTSIDE, where sun, water and fresh air, the three things a plant needs to grow, are plentiful.

      I then wake up

I have some words of advice for people with computers like mine... NEVER, EVER, no matter what, trust a log in screen! They're murderers! To your posts that is!

      12 May 2009 - May 2009 Basic Lucid Task Attempt #2

The dream starts off in my bed-room at night, where I'm laying down on my bed under the nice warm furry blanket, when I get the "call of nature". I get up and start walking to the toilet.

I get there and feel the cold, damp tiles under my feet. I flick the switch near the door to turn on the light. Nothing happens, no light. I turn it off and flick the switch again and still no change in light. I thought "Maybe this is a dream, because in dreams you cannot change the level of light". Immediately after that thought, the light comes on.

I flush the toilet, turn off the light and walk back to my bedroom. I get under the blankets in my bed and do a reality check. I look at my hands, count the fingers on one of them, and guess what? I have six fingers. IT'S A DREAM!! WOO HOO! Here we go again! Let's finish off this lucid task!!

Somehow I manage to "teleport" myself downstairs into the room where I last attempted the lucid task of May 2009 without even doing anything. The room is bright and sunny (Wait... wasn't it the middle of the night 5 minutes ago?) and I start imagining a flower, with a nice green stem and beautiful pink flowers on the top, with tiny water droplets running down the petals.

I have a very clear image of it in my head, but just can't "pull it out" into the dream where I can move it and give it to someone. I try two more times but still I can't get it out into the dream (Obviously it didn't occur to me that in a dream you can just literally reach for it and pull the sucker out).
      I then wake up.

      Talking

This dream seemed a little strange but I'm sure I was lucid. What was strange is that as soon as I'm dreaming, I do a reality check. When I'm done with the task, I wake up.

22 May 2009 - Completed the May 2009 Basic Lucid Task!

I was dreaming and decided to do reality check by pinching by nose. I could still breathe and knew I was dreaming. Then I remembered the May 2009 Basic Lucid Task which was to give a DC a flower.

But instead of that nice flower I had in mind in the last dream, it seemed to be a small white flower bombarded with leaves at the bottom. But still, it's a flower, so I pulled it out of my "thought bubble" and gave it to a DC.

      After that, I wake up.

      Finally!! I did it!

      31 May 2009 - Laptop Fire

I was playing on my computer when suddenly smoke started coming from the power plug on the side. I quickly ran downstairs and told some DC's that there was a fire upstairs and that we need to get out fast. They tell me that "We'll leave in a few minutes". So I turn around to find that THEY ARE WATCHING THE FOOTBALL!! I then wake up.

      Then went back to sleep.

Then it continued. I started leaving the house but because I'm still locked into a state of panic, I wake up.

      9 June 2009 - Olive Picking

I was in a pine tree forest with my family looking for olive trees so that we could pick the olives on them for oil. We both go in to what looked like a smaller version of a crater with an olive tree in the middle. So we go there, and when I look up I see about a dozen electric transmission lines crossing each other. This worries me.

We go out of this "crater" and I see a train. We follow this train line and come to a station right by a level crossing. I see a train coming but I decide to jump over the barriers instead of wait. Then I look back and see a DC pushing level crossing onto a track. When the train crosses I suddenly get a view under the bogies of the flange (the part that keeps the train on the tracks) detatch from the wheels.

So suddenly I'm in my room, on my computer, when I do a reality check. I count how many fingers I have and see six fingers. I get that feeling of excitement running down my body and quickly stabilize the dream. I jump up and start flying around the room trying to spare the embarrasment of looking like a duck flapping it's wings. After messing around for a while, I wake up.

      19 June 2009 - Attacked by a pullet/baby chicken

I was on a bus, coming home. The bus was full of people, and the stop was cramped like hell. In real life there would probably be about 3-4 buses most of the time, but this time there were about 10 or more lining up.

So when I arrive at my house, I go down to the chicken pen and see baby chickens. They were bigger than most newly hatched pullets though. But when I looked at one, she started talking! (You can tell it's a girl by the voice). I forgot what she said, but then two of them started attacking me! I could feel the claws and spur go deep into my back and it hurt like @$%&@$^* !!!!

      And then I woke up.

      WW3? (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

So I'm at the computer on MSN, which has a surprisingly different interface. Two people are online, but I don't talk for some reason. (In real life I have a problem with talking to people) But eventually they talk to me, so I'm forced into a conversation. And after a few minutes of chatting, I see them right next to me. We all go down to a swimming pool and see it's really muddy.

The scene changes. Now I'm in a car, having a driving lesson with my father. He's telling me that "You don't have to go the maximum speed limit, you can go slower". The road we're on is very similar to one we live near that goes up a hill. In the dream though, there are LOTS of trees on the side of the road.

The scene then changes back to were I was before, except this time I'm swimming in the pool. One of my friends tells me that something has happened and some evil person is trying to take over the world. (?) I get out, and look around. My father is in a car with someone else and is off to fight a war.
(Hey, this thing does support keyboard shortcuts!) Then another one of my friends tells me that we have to do something aswell. I follow them and come to this place, which was also the same place I went to in one of my other dreams. One of them has stairs, and leads to a meeting room. (Note: Something happened when I finished writing this, and now I'm pissed beyond ****. Expect a different style of writing for... the rest of this post. Ugh) But on a corner of the room, there is a piano. In another room, it goes into a basement. I forgot the third one but for some reason I believed it had stairs aswell.

(There is a huge jump here because I forgot some of the dream)
So now I'm trying to get out of this place, on a boat on the river. I see this huge pipe though and I'm reluctant to go under it because I have a feeling it's going to drop.

      And then I wake up.

From Wii Games to Mountain Climbs to T.V. Shows (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm playing a game on the Wii, which involves walking in the snow at night time. You couldn't go really fast because if you did you would fall over. But not only that, there were VERY steep mountain climbs and you had to walk slowly. The only way you could go fast was to collect these crystals of some sort.

Then suddenly, I'm sort of pulled in to the T.V. screen and it becomes real. So here I am, challenging these awful mountains, collecting crystals and getting my face in the snow from trying to walk faster.

Then after one last climb, I see a small-medium sized town. There are all these levels of the game you can choose.

I somehow end up in this river, trying to get to my house along with three other people (who look a lot like my relatives). When we get there, it looks a lot different and it's right at the end of the river. The other three people start stacking some light gray blocks with a bit of green algae on it.

Suddenly, it's night time. I hear something so I go outside, and find a dog chewing some timber. But looking through the glass it's very hard to see what else might be there. I ignore it anyway and the scene changes back to the same one about 30 seconds ago.

Then an argument starts, over what? I don't know. I head for a door that leads back into a river. Instead I'm taken to the back of my house, that looks very realistic except for a few changes to some of the house.

Then out of the blue, a guy from some T.V. show starts talking to me. I forgot exactly what he said, but he walks to the front of the house looking for those three people. One of them comes to the back of the house along with that guy, and I open up a door in the fence to let them through it.

And that's when I woke up.

      Meeting an Old Friend (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My first lucid dream since I stopped!

First, allow me to snip the beginning part off because there's some things in it that are private and some I just would rather not publish to the internet. *snip*

I'm in a plant nursery looking for plants. The pots at the top are just level to my head, and the lower ones are level to my knees. I remember Rhododendrons
(How the F do you spell that again?) and Kangaroo Paws, and some more plants that looked very real.

The nursery looked a bit like this, only the plants were a lot higher.

I find a friend who I haven't seen in years, so I say hello to her. We start talking, then my vision becomes blurry. I noticed that she's gone but I can hear her voice in my right ear. I find her at the nursery's entry/car park and walk over there. I'm facing the car park and to the left of me, there's a huge steep slope
      (Another dream sign of mine).

The plant nursery turns into a small shower, with a wall that slides up to let you get out of it. I take a shower, and try to use telekinesis to lift it up. I fail in doing so, and hear the other girl's voice on the other side, so I open it up with my hands instead.

I go to the slope and climb up (now with my clothes on) and I suddenly see her in front of me. She didn't climb up, she just appeared there. I ask her "How did you do that?" and she tells me that it's easy. She disappears, and she appears again on the ground. I call her back up the slope, but someone shakes their head slowly at me as if they can't see her and I'm going nuts.
That makes me wonder. The plants been up so high. (Reference to Beatles song?) The slopes that show up in my dreams occaisionally but not in RL. Her just teleporting to whereever she wants. I do a R.C. I pinch my nose and I can breathe! I'm dreaming!

That's good, I was humiliated for a second because I thought my imagination was going to get me sent to the "funny farm".

But the dream fades out. I forget to stabilize the dream and wake up. Now I have to decide whether I actually accomplished a task or not!!!

      Wink

      Hi there Eagle!

Thanks for reading my DJ. Thought I'd be nice and read yours.

To MILD, (or atleast how i do it) Is to REALLY GIVE A DAMN about LD. Everytime i goto sleep nowadays, It's just ritual to think about LD. I do this for a little while, then I push it to the back of my mind and let other thoughts fog my mind until i fall asleep. Works about 10% of the time... so that's like 3 lucids a month. A ratio I'm fairly pleased with. And that 10% of the time is just from not enough RC's and etc. I am getting back into it now.

I like "Race". Reminds me of a dream I had about going to Colorado Springs to meet Luke Carrico (AKA Scarecrow, YSP) to fly the YSBA ruotine with REAL F/A-18A hornets. I forgot to log it!

I only log about 50% of my dreams. I had one last night but i forget it mostly now... :/

Another fun game is letting visualisation be the dream! I managed to nearly WILD straight from going to sleep at like 2300 once... Interesting stuff. It was fairly vivid in detail and I recall it like a dream. Plus it flexes the imagination. Which'll make even NORMAL dreams more interesting.

      Keep it up!

      Hi Flake!

Thanks for reading my DJ. I hope you are enjoying it.

That idea of thinking about lucid dreaming for a while before sleeping sounds promising.

I was the same before. I usually logged only a few of my dreams. But now I'm changing that.

Again, thanks for reading and giving advice on MILD. I'll try that tonight.
