Non-lucid
Showered with Glass
The sun was just settling in the west. The horizon surrounded by green pine trees. I looked around to find myself in a unique town. The town consisted of closely place houses, factories, and mobile homes. No roads, no cars, just sidewalks. I was here to see a friend. I remember meeting with him earlier in the day and now I am out for a walk.
I began to observe my surrounds to become familiarized with this community. I am surrounded by mobile homes, one house, and a factory behind the house. The house was not spectacular sight. The living room had glass windows that looked more like glass walls. The rest was encased in while panel so not to reveal the contents of the house. [I can't remember what the mobile homes looked like]
The air felt weird as if something disastrous was about to begin. I gazed at the sky and studied the movements. The sky is engulfed by a purple atmosphere but not clouds in the sky. However, there appeared to be gray specks of an unknown substance swirling in the sky, just spinning slowly, beginning to tighten up, then spin faster. I glanced at skies to my north just beyond the factory. Once again, the same sight. Only these specks already formed their characters...tornados.
Panic struck deep within me. The common phrase "Place to hide! Place to hide!" entered my head. I was in an unknown town, surrounded by mobile homes and a huge factory. These structures would be demolished...but the house! I sprinted to the house noticing a ill placed tree next to the glass of the house. I worry the tree with penetrate the house and possibly strike me.
I continued to run to the opposite side of the house to find a door...there it is! A slight sense of relief began to...crap! What I thought was a house on one side, was really a mobile home! With no time left, I opened the door, leaped in and quickly observed the interior of the mobile home. To my left was the glass living room, to my right was a wooden hallway and doors. I ran to the right all the way down the hallway. It was a kitchen...not a safe place to hid! I went back to the hallway and began opening doors, each of them a large open room, but no bathroom! If I could only find a bathroom, I could grab a mattress, hid in the tube and put the mattress over me...but no luck.
The house began to rumble, the tornado already touched ground. No time to continue searching, so I ran over to the kitchen again. I looked to see if I could hide in the cabinets or in a closet. [They are more structurally sound] No cabinets that I could fit in, so I ran to the corner and ducked in the tornado position. The walls began to shake and kitchen utensils struck the floor. Dirt and ceiling material began to strike my back. Everything crumbled. For some unknown reason, the thought “I need to get out of this kitchen!” Went through my head. So I followed my thoughts and ran out to the hallway. All the bedrooms had been destroyed and the kitchen was swept away from right behind me. I ran to the living room (which was still intact) and hit right next to the couch.
Suddenly, a shower of glass pelted, showering like the rain in the Monsoon seasons. The structure of the house cracked, bent, and twisted in its horrific death. The house shook furiously as the roof and tin (which once held glass windows) crashed to the floor. Incredibly nothing struck me from the collapse. It felt as if this tornado’s only intentions was to murder me as the house violently. Then, without warning, the crying winds stopped, everything calm once again! I got out of the stance and tried to study my surroundings. I couldn’t…the debris covered and embraced me.
Like a military crawl, I exited the house without a scratch, nothing injured me. I sprinted over to my friend and asked him about the tornado. He was confused and replied something along the lines of “What are you talking about? That didn’t happen over here.”
That’s when I woke up.
Note:
I had another dream, but I can't remember it.
