Car Resolutions (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

We were at a car store, but we didn't like any of the new cars because they had lower resolutions than the old ones. I think we actually looked at pictures of two different cars, and the old one looked clear while the new one was fuzzy. The salesman built us a new car, but it looked exactly like our old white van. I hate that car, and in the dream we'd gotten rid of it. However, when he showed us an identical car we decided to buy it.

Then we were discussing the various cars on DV. I think I was talking to Mario. Someone asked a dumb question about car resolutions, and I answered it. Then the same person asked if we were still experimenting with the paranormal, but apparently he'd already asked it (or another off-topic question), because Snowy jumped in and told him to stay on topic.

I think that a bunch of stuff happened before where I started remembering the dream. While trying to recall what happened before, the two words that came to mind were "motorcycle" and "chameleon car," and I'm fairly certain it involved racing. I wish I could remember that in detail instead of a bunch of forum posts...

Hackers (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

There was an evil person who could best be described as a computer programmer hacker lady, or maybe just a random bad guy who has nothing to do with computers. Either way, my older brother had been trained his whole life so that one day he could destroy her. He still looked exactly the same, but someone had created him. I'm not sure exactly what he was. Maybe a robot, maybe a genetically engineered clone. He had some superpowers (super strength, I think), but somehow he lost them. However, he wasn't aware that he didn't have powers any more, so he asked his sponsor/mentor/creator (who did know that he was powerless) if he could go out to try to find her. His sponsor told him to go to his room and not come out again. My brother was confused about why he wouldn't let him search for her, and he insisted on going out. His sponsor told him that if the others found out that he was powerless, they would have him terminated because he was useless to them now.

Then my brother got some sort of brilliant idea, so he went onto the computer to create a new game online. While creating a new game, he only had a certain amount of time to pick the settings he wanted before it would turn off the computer. The first time he did it he took too long picking the settings. For some reason I was controlling the computer the second time. I tried to put in the exact same settings as he had, but then he started getting annoyed and telling me that I was doing it wrong. The game's music started playing pretty loudly, so we had to shout to hear each other.

Near the top of the options, there were three questions with a check box next to each. If your answer was yes, then you checked the box and the option disappeared. I checked the first two, and he got mad at me because I wasn't supposed to do that. I asked him if I should check the last box, which said, "are you attracted to anyone at this time?" By then, however, the music was REALLY loud, so I couldn't even tell what he was saying. It seemed like whether or not that box was checked was pretty pivotal to the plan, though. I think he was trying to get her sued for something, and having that box checked would release him from liability.

I woke up then, and my alarm was playing music. I have it set to the lowest option possible, but it's still really loud.

Pyrokinetics (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

The first thing I have written down is horse, but I don't remember any horses in this dream and what comes next has nothing to do with them... So yeah, I guess there was a horse in there somewhere.

We (me and my little brother) went to various people's houses, and many of them had cats. Somehow we ended up at a big pool, and there was a whale half in and half out of the water. The room we were in was somewhat dark in a musky way, and the water was murky. We went swimming, and after awhile the water became clear, although I was still afraid to open my eyes underwater.

After that, we went to a school, and my little brother and I were in the same class. The first thing we had to do was blow fire out of our mouths. My little brother got it immediately, but it took me a few tries. I was trying to blow water instead of fire, and I wasn't sure where it would come from. When I finally got it, the fire was green. Words cannot adequately describe how awesome and fun breathing fire is. It was really cool, but also really tiring. Unfortunately, we had a beginning of class test. The way he described it made it sound like we were just supposed to make up answers. I had the answer sheet, but I didn't see any questions, so I just started writing down random letters from A to D. Then I realized that he had given us questions, and I'd just wasted a lot of time. The questions were really random; the first one was about some type of bird that I'd never heard of. I explained what had happened, and he gave me some extra time at the end. It didn't really help though, because I didn't know any of the answers, and I couldn't focus because I was dizzy and tired from breathing fire.

The teacher was going to show us a sample duel between him and another teacher. He had three possible opponents, but our teacher was hella beast, so they all ran away. However, he convinced one of them to come back. Her name started with an A, but I don't remember what it was. When fighting him before, he'd done something that had made her go crazy, but she'd recovered since then. Apparently they fought frequently, because the percentage of battles where he'd made her insane was 0.016.

Breathing fire! Now that is just pure awesome. ^_^

Restaurant on Fire (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went to a restaurant with my family. There weren't any free tables, so I sat with my friend's family because they were almost done and I wanted to make sure that no one else swiped the table before we could get to it. My friend's mom got annoyed at me and asked why I didn't just sit at the table next to them, because the people there were also almost done. I saw that they had four people packed onto each side of their table, with two people (one on each side) sitting on someone's lap. My friend's table had an empty seat.

There was a fire in the restaurant then, and somehow I saw it from the perspective of someone outside the building for awhile. The doors were locked, so the fire department had to break them down. Once the doors were open, everyone was safe and the fire (which I'd never actually seen) disappeared. There was no damage to the building, so it was used as an emergency hospital, although as far as I could tell not very many people were injured.

The perspective switched again, and I was lying on one of the hospital beds, which doubled as a package of raw salmon. I wriggled out of the plastic wrap and walked carefully out of the building. They were insisting on having everyone looked at by a doctor, but I wasn't hurt so I didn't want to waste my time there. I did take the time to pet the salmon, though.

My older brother was making something in a blender. I don't know what it was, but he was putting in a couple of giant pieces of broccoli. My younger brother jumped on top of me to be annoying, so I reached back and pinched his leg.

Your bed was a pack of raw salmon, which you later petted?

Alien Ice Skating Warriors (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My dad and I were stuck on an alien planet, where the aliens we were with were having a war with another alien species. We wore ice skates the whole time. They were going off to fight, and they were going to take us with them even though we were only lowly humans with no experience. We would be lucky if we could keep up with them when they ran to the battlefield. We hardly stood a chance in battle, so we had to prepare first, so we went to a place that looked exactly like my garage, but much emptier (a sight I will most likely only ever see in my dreams). The aliens were going into battle barefoot because they were hardcore, but we had to wear ice skates without guards. I was worried that my skates would get destroyed, but then I realized that that was probably the least of my problems. Then I realized that I was wearing a pair of their skates. My right skate was a skate designed especially for battle, so it was shorter than my left one.

We did some sort of ceremony that was a bit like musical chairs but only with one chair and no dogpiling, just so that they could see whether we could do it and laugh when we couldn't. Running in skates was a combination of running in shoes and skating on ice. It was like running, but I glided more and I went faster for less effort. I could also do hockey stops on the concrete.

Before we could go, they had to do some sort of modification to me. I thought they had to do something to my skates, but they put a tube in my mouth with a rubbery thing on the end that I had to bite down on. It sprayed a gas which made me feel weird and then fall asleep, even though I tried to breathe through my nose.

When I woke up I was sad that I hadn't gotten to finish the dream.

Okay, I'm done. I was too lazy to combine all three into one. =P I'm quite happy with last night's dreams though.

@ XeL: Yeah, I do fight a lot in my dreams. I'm a bit confused about how I didn't notice it before...

@ Mario: Breathing fire was awesome! I'm going to add it to my lucid goals, because that was just fun. ^^
I love to pet raw salmon. It's so squishy and smooth and fun! =D

Love the alien battle dream...your dreams are always so actiony.

And yeah, raw salmon is awesome! Fire-breathing just got added to my task list. General fireball throwing was already there, but you made fire breathing sound a million times better.

It was so much fun. I wish I could think of words to describe just how awesome I felt. This smiley works pretty well -->

Finally, I get to write in purple! (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was with my little brother in a place with lots of hills and grass. I realized it was a dream, and decided to fly. I flew lower than usual, hoping that focusing on the grass would help keep the dream from destabilizing. I remember being quite happy that it hadn't ended right away, and that looking at the details in the grass (which was a very pretty green) helped make the dream more clear when it started to get fuzzy. I remembered that one of my goals was to walk either on water or through fire. I briefly considered finding some water, but I was afraid to do dream control because I would mess up the dream if I stopped stabilizing constantly.

There was a steep drop in the hillside, so I flew over the edge. The ground (which was pretty far away now) had that patchwork pattern, like when you're in an airplane and you look down on fields with different crops. I went back to the high hills again, and that's all I remember.

I almost didn't remember any of this dream. That makes me wonder how many other random lucids I've had and then forgotten. Probably a fair number. The only reason I remembered this one was because I was struggling to recall more of a dream fragment about caves. Of course, I completely forgot about that dream when I realized I'd had a lucid. =P

They Stole My Hot Tub! (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went into an animal shelter, where people were adopting animals. A group of people were giving the shelter a cat they'd found, but then there were four cats and only three people to adopt them, so one of the people who'd brought the fourth cat decided to adopt it himself.

The scene changed, and I had a hot tub. Pressing a button made warm water come out of the jets, which was quite nice. I got out to do something (no clue what), and when I came back four girls had stolen my hot tub. They were just sitting there like they owned it. It really annoys me when someone is obviously at fault, but when you call them out on it they act so incredibly indignant that you feel like you're the one who did something wrong.

My little brother had my history teacher (ugh), and he hadn't done his history notes and they were due. He had a meltdown, and my teacher gave him an extension on the assignment because of his IEP.

Heheh, cool dream. Yeah, should've kicked ass.

I just gotta say, I love the new avy/sig combo. ^_^

I've never done any lucid fighting. This must change.

I love them too! I'm a big fan of vector art. I'm not sure it actually is vector art, though, or just a photoshopped image.

Deep Powder (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was hiking with my family and some of my cousins through the snow. When we passed a certain spot, something bad would happen to me, like I'd get a weird feeling. (Not entirely sure what I meant by that, but that's what I wrote...) A lot of people wanted it to be possible to do triple Pokemon battles. Personally I thought it would make the games more complicated than necessary, and I just didn't really care. I guess that our hike through the snow would end with somewhere where it was being discussed.

We came to a wide canyon with icy water at the bottom. About one third of the way across, something was floating in the water. It was anchored by two ropes, one to each cliff. To get to the other side we had to jump onto the floating thing and then back to the land. My dad jumped across easily. My little brother was supposed to follow, but he was too scared to do it. I was also afraid, but not as much as he was. My dad was wearing a black shirt that had a small picture/logo and some text. What the shirt said was important in the dream, but I don't remember it now.

We were discussing a celebrity named Nicole. I don't remember her last name. There's one that comes to mind, but I think it might just be one of my classmates' names. I do remember that her name had a roman numeral in it, though, possibly II. Apparently Nicole had been in jail and she'd been forced to wear a swim suit. A reporter talked about how this was bad if it made the person feel self-conscious. Apparently she didn't have that problem, but it was still bad because it was unhealthy to wear one for too long. Then they showed a picture which I would have found attractive if I were a guy (no, it wasn't dirty =P).

On the hike back, there were lots of different paths all right next to each other, but at different heights, so there were cliffs separating the paths. They were all made of snow, so they collapsed easily. My grandma was walking on the path in front of me, but she was very unstable. She kept stumbling and starting to fall over sideways, which was especially bad because there was a cliff right next to her (about a 7ft drop). As I struggled to catch up with her and figure out a way to get her out safely when I could hardly navigate the trails myself, I looked down at the lower level. My little brother was standing on a snow formation that was a bit like half an arch. It collapsed under him and then rolled onto his leg, pinning him down. Luckily it wasn't that big, though, so he was okay, and we continued walking.

Then we were wearing skis, which made travelling much faster and easier. My dad was leading the way and showing us how to do it, but I had trouble keeping up with him. As we got farther, the powder slowly got deeper. We could ski on the surface of the snow, but we slowly sank. It would have been easy to get lost in the snowdrift if you sank too far. By the end of the dream, the snow was up to my chin. Oddly, I don't remember feeling cold.

Epic Roller Coaster (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My mom was driving on the freeway. We exited, then realized that we'd gone the wrong way and turned around. I was worried because we were then going the wrong way on a one-way street. After a certain point, however, the correct way switched to being the way that we were going and there was another car coming straight at us (he was the one going the wrong way now), so I realized that it was pretty normal to have to turn around and go the other way. We ended up at a tangle of raised roads, and then on a roller coaster.

The roller coaster was huge and painted red. There was lots of straight space between the loops, and the ride was directly over the ocean, which stretched so far that when I looked out into the distance it went all the way into the sky. I couldn't see a horizon. The roller coaster stopped a lot, so we were often hanging facing down at the ocean with only the harnesses they put over us to hold us up. Earlier, a guy had bragged about all the great stuff that the roller coaster had, like safety bars to hold you in, drops, and that you could even put your hands up if you wanted to. However, as we were hanging, I was told that only a handful of the safety bars actually worked, and I realized that I'd been holding myself up the whole time by grabbing onto the bars.

The Little Robots (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My friend dragged me to some cooking class, where we made something that involved mashing up hardboiled eggs. The idea was that they would be smooth, but I had trouble getting out all the lumps. It looked pretty gross.

Then I was in a house, and there were a bunch of little robots that had taken over. I don't remember exactly what they looked like, but they were about R2D2-sized and they had arms. I in a party (like a group of people that fight monsters in video games), and we were on some sort of mission to fight the boss (which had nothing to do with the little robots). When the little robots multiplied, they made a capsule that looked a bit like a robotic pill (about an inch long) that could roll on its own. My mom told me not to touch them, because then they would die. The little robots had taken over, but they weren't exactly against us. They were more like pets who did chores.

My White Kitten (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went into a school building that was being used as a place for babysitting pets. We'd adopted a little white kitten and were keeping it there, and I was going to visit it. I pulled her out of her cage and she was so small that she could curl up in the palm of my hand. She was absolutely adorable! I put her down, and she wandered out the door. I ran out after her, not wanting her to get lost or hurt. Also, she was going to be an indoor cat, so I didn't want her to get used to being outside. She ran down a pretty steep hill and across the street. I slid down after her, not able to see where I was putting my feet because it was the middle of the night. Somehow I made it to the bottom without tripping.

I could just make out the outline of the kitten. I started to cross the street, then realized that I should look both ways first. Then I noticed that I had no peripheral vision, like when a dream was starting to fade out. At first I was confused, but then I realized that I had to stalibize before the dream faded completely. By that time, though, I couldn't see anything (maybe a little speck). Mostly I could just feel that I was standing.

Does that even count as a lucid? When you realize it's a dream while the dream is fading out? If so, then that is one disappointing lucid. Edit: I'm not going to count it.

Is this even a dream? (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was attempting WILD... or MILD... or VILD... I don't know what I was trying to do. I was just chilling and waiting for a dream to start.

I could feel myself walking around (with no vision), but I could also feel my physical body still in bed. I tried to focus on the dream one, but that only made me focus on the physical more. I was worried that if I tried to move, I would move my real body instead of the dream one, so I just visualized myself walking. Then I woke up. At least, I think I did. If I had a FA, I don't remember it.

Weddings and the Media (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Someone was telling me about how the media reports on weddings all wrong. In an actual wedding, most of the pictures taken were of the bride/groom, but in the media they leave them out a lot and instead show lots of pictures of the guests. There was a green and black laptop with screens both where the screen actually goes and where there should be a keyboard. On the screen, there were a bunch of little wedding pictures of people. I wondered why they didn't just take a picture of the computer and use that as their media report. Apparently they blew up each of those little pictures and enhanced them so they were of perfect quality. It was all very scandalous. >.>

Then I was watching an actual wedding. All the people were in a field facing a forest in two lines right next to each other, with the bride at the head of one line and the groom at the head of the other. They were all kneeling, and then the bowed so that their faces touched the ground. I wasn't a part of the line, but I was compelled to bow as well so that I wouldn't be out of place. However, I wasn't flexible enough to touch my face to the ground. That is some major inflexibility.
