NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
There was a guy who had a magical piece of paper. A group of people wanted to take it from him, and he had to keep that from happening. The paper was powerful, but he couldn't use it without his enemies being able to track him (or detect him if they were nearby). However, to escape he had to use it, and then he ran down a street. The dream switched to first person and I replaced him. So I was running barefoot down the middle of a busy street at night. I had to be careful not only to avoid getting run over, but also because any one of the people in the cars might recognize me and attack. I noticed that not many blue cars (or any cars for that matter) were going into the right-most lanes.
Somewhere around here I became lucid, but I kept running. I had a destination in mind in the dream, but looking back I have no clue where I thought I was going. I was running pretty fast though and I wasn't getting tired, so that was fun. There was a stop light up ahead, and after that the road dropped down and turned sharply to the right. To make the turn I would have to slow down, but the light was about to turn red and I could sense that if I didn't hurry I would be caught. I barely made it through the intersection before the light turned red, so I leaped forward out of the way of the cross traffic.
My momentum made me float forward. For a moment I was worried about going too far and not landing on the road, but then I realized I could just fly and let myself get launched over the cliff. I had intended to turn in midair and continue to follow the road, but the view distracted me. Far below it was mostly darkness except for the lights from a small city. It was quite pretty, so I just flew over it for awhile before the dream started to destabilize. I started falling downward, head first; all I could see were colors rushing by. I wasn't worried about the falling so much as that the dream was about to end. I scrambled to stabilize it. "Do I spin? No, that made it end last time. Reach for something, grab something, look somewhere, anything! I need the sun to come out so I can see my shadow!" I felt myself reorient so that I was on my back, and I "landed" back in my bed.
I looked up and my dad was standing beside my bed looking down at me. I was startled, thinking I had put in ear plugs and that's why I hadn't heard him coming. For an instant he said something in a deep, creepy voice, then he disappeared. I was really freaked out for about half a second. Then I realized that it had just been HH. It was spooky, but also kind of cool at the same time. I've never had HH like that before.
