Now that I'm back, its time to get my recall back. didn't sleep much during the holidays, im more of a doing type, not this relaxation crap

Seriously. I'm going to make a list of all common problems and advantages we all face during our trip to the dream world. there won't be 101, just a number to aim for - you can help with ideas from your own experiences if you like. hey and this is serious too. no funny business! ...maybe a little

I think understanding the laws can help guide us to our goals in the dream world. or something like that.

The List

1. If you think you can't do it, it's impossible.
   1.1 If you don't think your brain has enough 'processing power' to create something, you can't.
2. Consider that you are an emulation of yourself, one that cannot die. there is only the illusion of life and death. nothing can kill you.
   2.1 Nothing can kill you in real life through your dreams - including Freddy Kruger.
   2.2 Dream Characters might seem mortal, but were never living to begin with. they are all undead, moving things...
   2.3 A Nightmare Character cannot die.
3. You are not you, unless you think you are. otherwise you are nobody - meaning you can also be a spectator.
4. Excitement is the bane of all Dreams.
   4.1 Including sexual excitement.
5. The laws of physics don't apply.
   5.1 There is no gravity, just the emulation of gravity. flying is the true mode of transport.
6. Everything has a back story.
   6.1 For example, meeting together at a disabled convention is not weird because you lost your arm yesterday in an accident with a blender or something.
7. If you are made to wait, the thing you are waiting for will never happen.
   7.1 The search for the mystical, all knowing, wish granting object will only end in disappointment. or it won't end at all.
8. Lights only work when they want to.
9. Intelligent conversation with a dream character is highly unlikely.
10. You have an attention span the size of a small child - hey look a puppy!
11. You cannot wake up with anything.
    11.1 If you find shitloads of money, don't take it.
    11.2 If you get a phone number from the hot blonde down the road...
12. While dreaming, there is no order.
    12.1 Police are just DC's with guns. whats a few bullets in the head gonna do?
    12.2 There is no such thing as morality. you see an awesome car, steal it! Don't feel obliged to do anything. just don't.
13. What is and isn't socially acceptable is very different.
    13.1 Talking about dreaming is socially unacceptable. watch out, they will try to stop you from doing your lucid tasks!
    13.2 Running down a busy road completely naked is fine.
14. Trying not to think about something still counts as thinking about them... you idiot.
15. Weird shit happens when you do stuff for DCs
16. Things are never where you left them. If you lose something, you will never find it again.
17. Don't go around telling friends they are dreaming so you can have fun together, because they are probably just DCs.
    17.1 If you see a friend from the other side of the world, don't tell them they are dreaming. they are probably awake!
18. Nightmares can only be enjoyed when they are rare/infrequent.

Luckily, with my Yaboo methods, you'll have those laws broken in no time!
That'd be a good thing, wouldn't it be? I mean, all what we need is for one Yaboo method to work and viola! I found myself a new lucid induction method!

Racing to the Shopping District (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm playing a racing game, driving along Beaudesert Road. I go off the road, over mounds of dirt and jumps. It is said that you can adopt a car if you haven't got it. I looked through my list of cars to see what I don't have. I finish the race and get loads of achievements. I walk off to a shopping center and see an old guy buying jewellery or something worth $10. The owner is also pretty old, and says someone is selling the same item for $9.97 down the road. The owner tells him a secret that young people don't know and that it is illegal to have only one price per item. I go tell my brother who is in the store opposite. we go through to the inside of the mall where I end up playing a couple random games, where you need to finish the level before the water reaches you.

Backstage Pass (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Running down a road at night with my brother and dad for a while until we reach a building. inside you can hear reggae music playing (one of my parents favourite bands, UB40 i think) my dad uses a card and we walk through the door in the alleyway. Inside I see someone who looks just like my brother, sleeping on the couch and a small girl on another seat. towards the back in a little kitchen-like are I see a few people. my dad talks to them while I look around. I talk to a guy about stuff.

I'm thinking about getting West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. is it any good? oh yeah. my dream. I have it written down... It's about a dragon and his high-tech lair.

Dragon's Lair (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm a guy with magic powers. I remember being in a lair, where there are loads of lava and a dragon in the middle, the rest of the lair is high tech, and there are some computers around too. I go to another place where I can find a special power. I can see it glowing blue on the tower opposite to me, the elevators take you around, but they areunpredictable, and really sickening when they fall down. I get the power and go back to the lair, where I fought some guy - he betrayed us or something. I ask the dragon to make it warmer, the rocks melt underneath me, and I fall into the lava. My spell protects me and I shoot lava at the dragon (who now has a person pinned underneath his claw against a column) but nothing happens. it turns out I was playing a game all along, and the is an update that supports online multiplayer. there is a map that shows where the enemies have taken over.

After you made that DJ linked post, when I went to bed I had a dream about making my own Dream Journal Entry format! Isn't that interesting? Wait, this isn't my Dream Journal!

Through the Roof (MILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm walking into a futuristic building, and it looks like a party is going on. Its looks unreal, so I do a reality check. I made my clothes dissapear to see if anyone would react. no-one cared, so I knew I was dreaming. For some reason I put jeans on. I decided to remove the gravity in my dream, and I began to float around. actually I got the feeling everyone else had started to float too - I was right. I see my friend close to me looking confused like, "okay... I'm floating...?" so the next step was to fly up through the glass roof, but I failed. I don't know what happened, it was like I hit an invisible wall, or the gravity came back. I regain my composure and go to my friends, we seem to have made an agreement to use our lucid powers if we become lucid. I control someone like a puppet, and the puppet fights one of my friends. behind them I see an arcade, which is probably where my next dream comes from.

The path of a Monster (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm playing a game where you have to chase a monster down a half pipe, but you have to follow the green line. at some points I think I was the monster. after a while it splits up to many different paths, and you don't need to follow it anymore, just beat it and you win. I end up just moving my finger along the path now, cheating by taking shortcuts. towards the end I go through and see a giant arcade, I remember saying, "stuff this game, this is way more awesome!" I go up a level to see the view. there is this guy who revolutionized the mouse pointer lol.

Good job on getting your lucid! Game dreams, eh? When I was taking a nap today, I had a game dream myself. Pickin' all the weapons and was 'bout to snipe people. Too bad I didn't kill anyone.

oh yeah, game dreams every night. that's my brain's way of saying "uhh... this isn't a dream... its a game, that's why it's so unreal... yeah, thats it..." so it makes it harder for me to realize I'm dreaming.

The Supermarket (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm in a supermarket with a friend, he tells me to try convince people to stay by distracting them? anyway I see these kids at a table, and it looks like they needed some help doing something so I go over. The parents talk to me about looking after children or something and I say I have two baby siblings I take care of all the time. after a while I go through a section of the supermarket with PS3s and stuff where you can sit down and play them.

My DJ is right, my recall on Saturday is horrible. I wonder why? do I get it all back on sunday? I think so!

Party (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm walking through a building being lost and all, looking for something. I don't know what it was. I reach an open area like a park and see a creek over the edge. A guy is throwing stones over the water, so I try it out in a water feature next to me. all of a sudden we start talking about what rock is the best, and I see one that grows like the perfect rock. it has a perfect center of gravity... lightning hits the ground and we all take cover under things, I get under the swings and it keeps hitting the same place. two people touch the pole, lightning came down and they didn't even get an electric shock. my brother noticed it was one of his friends doing it in a house nearby, and we go to him. we level up? I get an increased map range or something and use it to quickly find a good hideout. there was a good number of things to hide under in the top right corner of the park so we go there. I sit down and see there are a lot more people here this time. there is an instructor talking about it, and that you can only play this game once, maybe twice because so many people want to play. I drink from a cup of water and see that it has someone's name written all over it. it was my friend who wasn't originally with me sitting right next to me. anyway it finishes and everyone storms out, I lost my group. I thought to myself, "I'm not going to let them leave me" and I go back in time to when they began to leave, and followed them. I got held up putting my clothes on? while I put a shirt on I wondered how much longer the dream will last, because It's been going for a while now. A friend was waiting for me so we could catch up. on our way my friend bought a TV for a birthday present, it was worth $4000 I hope he wasn't expecting me to pay for half of that... we catch up with everyone and someone is trying to fix their phone. I have a look and see they made a 3D landscape with excel. I was trying to ask how they did that but they weren't answering.

I disappeared for a while... lets just blame it on stress, shall we?

Me and my brother are in the car, doing nothing until he does something that makes the car roll. we go downhill and I turn it around. I try to dodge the people but I knock them all down. I realise I'm dreaming, hop out the car and fly.

I'm at a beach where the shoreline is very steep. it's like we are safely watching a disaster happen below us. Now I'm in the disaster where I'm in a building and water begins to gush inside, I go into the bathroom but decide to go out because I wont be able to keep the door shut, I needed one that could only open outwards so It wouldn't open with the force of the water. I run back to the side opposite to where the water was coming and hop in a car. I drive up the outside of the building, knocking over gaurds that are trying to stop me. I reach the top where there are rooms, and see a guy start to freak out for some reason...

There is a picture of a person looking confused, and I had to choose from a group of other pictures, which I guess was how you would respond to the person. Me and my cousin are at the markets looking for stuff, I find a ten dollar note in the rubbish, but I cant reach it. I keep trying and end up tipping it over, when two more appear. I take all three but one seems to be a fake. the a fat lady comes by and tells me to give her the money for some reason, but I only give her one, and keep the other. we keep looking around.

I'm in a store, and I find a puppy that i thought was only $20. I only had $10 dollars... I thought, how could a real dog be so cheap? turns out it's stomach had a place to put batteries, so it wasn't real after all. I didnt have enough money anyway, so this guy at the counter gave me a raffle ticket for free. I won a huge box of chips. I hate chips.

Driving down a road, I decide to cheat by hopping out of my car, lifting it up over my head, and running really fast... I run to a dead end, into a driveway where i turn around and stop by a building opposite the driveway I entered. I think it was a fire station... mirrors edge/princess diaries combo I think, I wasnt really watching it, I was playing SMT DS at the time.

Talking to a tiny babeh. anyway, it begins with me and my friends doing crazy rhythm heaven sorta stuff, waving our arms to the beat like idiots, we run over and get weighed for some reason... one of my teachers was there, and she had a little baby. it could talk OMG. thats what I get for watching baby geniuses... oh rhythm heaven is a great game, lots of fun, challenging.

Bed for three (Non-lucid)

Me on a bike
go to a beach
bike gets stolen
we have a fight
he puts my bike away
I go down a path to a stream
walk through streets with no roads
go inside a chocolate store
eat chocolate
go to the hotel
go to my room
look at my brother and sister's room
something about flying people

I was thinking about a theory I came up with earlier this week. since then, every time my mind drifted off, I would try to remember what I was thinking of, make a mental picture and act it out, but in a lucid manner. does that make sense? I'm just testing it out, so I don't know if it works yet. in time i suppose we will see if there are results. I feel pretty confident about this theory right now.

heres the update:
-I have no computer
-I have a job
-I dont sleep nearly as much as i used to
-I haven't had an LD in months

I will be recording my dreams by any means necessary, so long as I have at least got a record of each day. I guess from there I'll work on my quantity and quality, but for now, I'll be focusing my efforts on making an entry each day... wish me luck.

It is raining, family I haven't seen in years came for a visit. I return to my room to find my drawers are filled with water - i show someone by tipping out the water in front of them, in an attempt to make them believe something so odd could have happened...

I also remember jumping on gondolas to meet up with Konata from lucky star.

I am at a wierd place, I try to go to the forest but they wont let me. I try go the opposite direction but someone else wouldn't let me. then I realise that I have to take this path inbetween to get to the service desk or something... I go there and ask her to do something she should have done a long time ago (activate my account or something) she says it will take a week but I apparently don't have that long so i try to tell her that it was her fault and not mine. there was another lady there too.

Characters from heroes lost their powers and now are trying everything to get them back. then they turn into avatars ( i haven't even seen it yet sooo i dont know where that came from)
